Fort Lauderdale Beach

Pompano
Beach Known as “The Heart of the Gold Coast,” Pompano Beach offers miles of beach along the Gulf Stream just north of Sea Ranch Lakes. Dip your toe into this part of the Atlantic to experience the warmest and clearest water in South Florida. The bend in the Gulf Stream accounts for these temperate water conditions. Named for the saltwater fish that call these area waters “home,” Pompano Beach boasts plenty of boating and fishing opportunities. Perhaps the greatest attraction for the angler remains the 100-foot long municipal pier. Also, the annual Pompano Seafood Festival and Fishing Rodeo draw crowds to this part of the Florida shoreline. But, fishing does not tell this beach’s only story. This place is where all sports seem to have their day. Snorkeling and scuba diving bring underwater adventure. Hobie cats, kiteboarding, wind-driven vessels, boating, jet skiing and waterskiing take guests on top of the waves. And, while boogie boarding is permitted anywhere along the coast, surfing and paddle boards are reserved for designated areas. Volleyball and playgrounds round out the offerings on the sand. A class act, Sea Ranch Lakes boasts a quiet, private beach for those needing a bit of rest. And, the adjacent beaches bring plenty of adventure. It is the best of both worlds when visiting the beaches of Sea Ranch Lakes.
Seaworld is a giant marine life theme park. The greatest attraction to these many theme park would be those killer whales. In fact, these killer whales are the face of the park. As gigant as these mammals are, seaworld is keeping them in some pretty tight quarters. Mr. Jett and Mr.Ventre says “Wild killer whales can swim a hundred miles daily as they socialize, forage, communicate, and breed. In stark contrast, with little horizontal or vertical space in their enclosures, captive orcas swim only limited distances, with most spending many hours surface resting.” The animals don't have the freedom they need. Also when taking the whales out of their natural habit the whales tend to be depressed and not as heath in that situation. They need their freedom in the big ocean blue. Bring them into the small living units, breeding whales in captivity all for the entertainment of humans. At young ages the calves are taken away from their mothers on to a new seaworld park. Mothers of the calves have even been seen denying their offspring.
I have been to Florida a billion times, but there are only two places that I normally visit. Sanibel Island and Destin. Traveling to Sanibel Island is almost like a tradition for my family because every year we try to go down there. My grandparents first went to Sanibel with my whole family (cousins and all) about 15 years ago and ever since then, it has been our family’s main “vacation spot”. I have gone to Sanibel almost every year, but last year I also went to Destin. Now the main reason we decided to go there as well is because we wanted to travel somewhere nearby the panhandle of Florida. The water and beaches are also very contrasting in comparison to Sanibel. Sanibel’s beaches even had heaps of sea shells going out into the water. The sand is also more dense than that of Destin. Even Sanibel’s water is darker and more cloudy, so it was crazy to see Destin’s water so clear! The beach (which is called Emerald Cove, where I stayed at) had sand that was so white and soft it
cant come al the way to the seaside and not go down to the beach.
California’s most ravishing views must be its coastline. There are amazing, refined, long stretches of beaches that offer a wide variety of sceneries. Beautiful white sand coming from Santa Monica, Long Beach and Big Sur. All types of people from the state of California to people from Florida enjoy California beaches. Some even like to hang loose and surf on the waves coming off the coast. Incredible evenings make families in California come together to watch the sun set. Florida beaches are not just well known in the USA but all around the world. Beaches that come to mind are Miami, Clearwater, and Sarasota beach. Miami beach is considered one of the “sexiest beaches in America.” With all the parties thrown on the beach, spring break is a local one stop for students that are coming out of Miami University. Clearwater beach, years ago, was ranked as the number one beach on the planet, with its white powdery sand and super clear water. Sarasota beach is quiet, and one can hear the natural crashing of the waves hitting the shore that sooths anybody trying to relax and enjoy their
One of the best vacation spots and most fun are down the shore in Wildwood, New Jersey. Wildwood consists of a boardwalk with tons of rides and fun, a beach with a beautiful ocean, and little summerhouses with ocean-side views. The best attractions though would probably be located on the boardwalk. There are so many things to see and do. Although it’s rather costly, it’s well worth it and it’s a great place for a family to share quality time together.
Recent protests by City of Miami Police Officers have captured the attention of Miami-Dade County. Protesters are complaining that very low wages have created a scarce supply of police officers in the City of Miami. Better salaries, protesters say, will prevent officers from leaving to higher paying police departments.
Located on the lower east coast of Florida the city of Miami is bordered by the Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Going east from the city the islands of Key Biscayne and Miami Beach help shelter the bay from the Atlantic Ocean, giving Miami a naturally protected harbor. The elevation of the city never rises above 40 feet and within most neighborhoods the elevation stays under 10 feet. The highest undulations are the Miami rock ridge which is found along the coast. A majority of the city lies on the shores of Biscayne Bay which contains hundreds of natural and artificially created islands, the largest being Miami Beach and South Beach.

While millions of tourists visit Florida each year in search of sunshine, sandy beaches, and kid friendly theme parks, other visitors have one main activity on their mind, and that is scuba diving! With a long, sprawling coastline, it’s natural to associate scuba diving in Florida to strictly ocean diving only, but that’s just not the case. There are actually numerous freshwater diving Florida opportunities. With limestone rock naturally filtering the water, giving it crystal clear visibility and a temperature of 72 degrees, it is no wonder why beginner and seasoned divers would want to check some of these incredible nature made playgrounds off of their bucket list.
Every year in the summer, my family and I always take a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Leading up to the trip, planning ahead and packing clothes is always exciting to me. Myrtle Beach is a beautiful place where family and friends go to have fun. It is my favorite place because of the attractions, hotels, and the Fourth of July festival.
