Semaphore is a classic Adelaide beach supporting many facilities. However, this would not be the case if coastal management was not put into progress. Coastal management is a way of supporting the world’s coasts, by using many techniques from construction of structures in which prevents wave energy from reaching the shore to planned strategies. Factors of this includes; rising sea levels, erosion, long and short term drift, sand movement and marine biology. The importance of coastal management is quite significant as it will help to prevent coastal erosion. In addition to this, without coastal management the world will be affect economically, environmentally as well as socially. Without the strategies involving the management of the coast,
It all began with good intentions. People thinking that they can control these animals and not expect any negative impacts. It was all due to wanting to explore and entertain with the animals. However, not all animals are meant to be taken from the wild to be show animals. After many years of unfair ways, SeaWorld is doing the right thing by closing down the whale exhibit even if it isn’t by choice because it is unhealthy for both the humans and animals involved.
What would have it been like without the nuclear test on the Bikini Atoll? Would it have been good or bad? Let’s find out! The test on Bikini Atoll contained two tests named “Able” which is the Airdrop. And “Baker” which is the underwater tests. Both were deadly, inflicting immense damage upon the environment of Bikini Atoll. So if It was without these two tests what would happen? The US could may have not found a way to defend from another country’s atomic bomb if It were to happen. But we may just elaborate another solution to defend against other countries from bombing our place. So It would be a great idea to never have bombed Bikini Atoll.

Longshore drift is a process by which sediments are transported from one place to another. When this process occurs, beaches, spits and sandbars are accreted over time. If the process of longshore drift is altered by factors such as stronger winds and stronger currents, beach erosion begins at a faster rate and this may result in many serious problems. The main stakeholders of longshore drift are resort owners. They rely on people to visit their resorts and enjoy the beach. However, if longshore drift erodes too much sand, it can permanently deprive sand from the area, which can also threaten structures close to the shoreline.
Earth, an endless source of wonder and beauty, produced the Great Barrier Reef. Hustling and bustling, the Reef thrives like a busy city, teeming with life. Sheltering thousands, corals, maintain the well-being of the Reef; however, the world threatens its nature and delicacy. Populations growing and technological advances increasing, the world becomes more and more disconnected with the natural world, posing an alarming risk for the planet we live on. Although many organizations try to keep the oceans clean, because of human interference and unnatural occurrences, the Great Barrier Reef needs scientific help to adapt corals to new conditions for means of survival, putting pressure on the Australian government to save their ocean environment.
Those who do typically like to get the most out of their money and take advantage of all the opportunities on the islands. Surfing is popular lifestyle that society pairs with Hawaii. The near-shore waters that range from deep blue to turquoise are often tempting; however, many vacationers do not understand how dangerous Hawaii’s currents can be. Since Hawaii is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the ocean bottom tends to drop off quickly, which causes big and powerful waves. Annually, sixty people drown or are seriously injured by the rip currents of the treacherous waters. Earlier this year, famous singer Britney Spears vacationed on the famous beaches of Hawaii. In a recent interview, so revealed she almost drowned at sea. “I went out and I thought it was like a wave pool, and I thought, ‘This is so nice and refreshing,’ but the thing I didn’t think about is when you come back the waves really come in strong.” Spears got sucked in and kept getting pulled back to sea. She was under for about five minutes before one of her security guards noticed she was struggling and was able to rescue her (Bacardi). A majority of the beaches fly a red warning flag year-round to warn beachgoers of the hazards. If one does find himself trapped in the middle of a current, it’s important to remain calm. Do not try to swim against the tide. Instead, swim parallel to the beach until the current
As the great Sir David Attenborough would say “The great barrier reef is in grave danger” and everything that comes out of his mouth is in fact a fact.
When two currents flow towards each other on show it pushes the flow of the current outward which causes a rip current. Rip current can be dangerous but it is an easy way for surfers to get out in the sea and catch the wave.

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It is understandable why so many people travel such great distances to witness this eye appealing miracle of nature. They come to see the many species, such as fish, coral, and other marine and bird life. There is no doubt that tourists who visit here will never forget their experience.
The beach, as mentioned in the introduction, has some coastal and environmental issues. These issues include erosion, removal of vegetation and pollution. Although it may not seem like there are many issues these issues are big. On top of these issues there are social, economic and environmental issues as well.
Increased traffic to the beach may place the beach at risk of erosion. The Kurnell Peninsula is home to a large group of dunes, some of which are heritage listed, these dunes support a range of significant ecological communities such as she-oak, scribbly bark, smooth-barked apple and red bloodwood communities. (Sutherland Shire Environment Centre, 2008) As such, sand dun...
The ocean, beautiful from what everyone can see, but there’s more to what the tourists’ eyes show as they come to see the views on the beaches. Coral reefs are starting to deteriorate more severally due to human and natural causes. The tourists visiting these beaches have no idea that they are affecting how long the coral reefs are going to last and how fast they are going to be gone. If nothing is done to help the reefs they may be gone sooner than later. Many people believe that the reefs are dying off because all because of natural causes and the human activity is helplessly getting the blame. Although natural causes contribute to the decrease in reefs, human activity is the main cause in way the reefs are not able to live as well as they
There are thousands of things I love, but vacation is on the number one list. Many times over the years I have taken vacation time; It was only a while back, when I realized how amaz-ing, and the great value it gives the sole and body. There have been times when I felt not wanting to leave my work, whether it’s financial problems or among other things. Other times I thought my work was at a decisive juncture and it wouldn 't get accomplished without me. All profession-als or employees know that the money does not just make itself unless they are there to make sure everything is going according to their policy. I know I am not alone in making excuses not to take a vacation. When I asked a couple of my co-workers, they also agreed on not even taking a week off for the entire year, some even included holidays.
