Introduction
Ross Dress for Less is the retail business that I am currently working for. I choose to discuss the primary purposes of the code of conduct and ethics that this company needs to touch up on. Particularly, when it is vital to be addressed and applied in this workplace. In the code of conduct and ethics, these will be included in the discussion: respect, training, managing performance, safety, confidentiality, violations of company policy, attendance and punctuality. There will be a division between what is in the human resource policy handbook and what a typical associate experience in the workplace.

Also, a date establishing where they would get together and discuss whether or not the problem has been corrected. If at the date the issue has been resolved, then there would be some sort of verbal
I believe that every company should encourage a relationship of trust, loyalty, honesty, and responsibility among staff members at all levels. It’s important that each staff member works together to achieve excellence in a business, so the code of conduct is put in place. The purpose of the code is to provide guidance and set common ethical standards for employees from the top of the food chain to the bottom of the food chain. Some of the areas that I find to be significant of importance in a business are sexual harassment, discrimination and simply being professional in a work environment.

With all discrimination aside, what’s important is to show some honest respect, ethics, value, and loyalty to every employee.
Ethics in the workplace is concerned with the standards that should be applied to issues such as accepting gifts, personal activity on company time, calling in sick and passing blame or taking credit (Rohmetra 2000). Ethics within a corporation most often reflect the values of the home country of the corporation and not the values of the workers (Moon and Wooliams 2000), this can lead to conflict. We must understand the ethics of other cultures in order to succeed (Phua and Kea 2007).
Enterprise training is a premeditated and systematic training activity which focuses on improving working quality, ability, achievement and contribution (Lee and Pershing, 2000). In other words, the training is a systematic intellectual investment. When a corporation investing manpower and material resources to train employees, there will be an improvement of labour quality, human capital, corporate performance, and invest income for shareholders (Brinkerhoff and Montesino,

Professional dress codes are a way to let crowds know that professionality is beyond people's individuality. Dressing appropriately has disadvantages because it can be expensive, clothing has an effect on the wearer, and the observer can bring negative attention. There are benefits to a casual dress code such as the cost depending on the price or the store it’s being purchased from, the comfort varying on the product being bought, or economic strain differentiating the industry system. Comfort and professional dress codes can let people know a lot about an individual like their style and motive in life. “A business casual dress code can help employees feel more relaxed and able to focus on their task.” ( Scott Walton 1). Training and development are important factors to the success of any organization. Each employee is a valuable asset that can either add to the success a company or contribute to its failure. Training supports and makes possible the development of new skills and knowledge. Training is the complete opposite. It is designed to equip all trainees with the same skill to a level of performance against an external standard. For example: how to produce a project schedule to satisfy the scheduled examination. It requires a pre-planned approach to telling project managers exactly what to do and how to do it. And all trainees benefit from sharing the training experience and exchanging ideas.
