Role of a Student Ambassador
Dictionary.com defines an ‘ambassador’ as - “a diplomatic official of the highest rank, sent by one sovereign or state to another as its resident representative”. It is a term derived from the Middle English.
So, what does a student ambassador mean?
Student Ambassadors are current students, who represent their university, and act as a bridge between the university and the outside population. They use their own experiences to give prospects, who are interested in the university life, a glimpse of what it is like to be a student. This might mean escorting them around the campus and answering queries on ‘Open Days’, taking care of freshers when they arrive for their first tenure, or managing booths at meetings and career fairs. …show more content…

You will be put into this eminent position only if the officials of your Institution trust you to be a great promoter of the Institution and if they think that, you are capable enough. You are also well regarded by your supervisors, faculties, other students, and their parents. They trust you to be their proficient guide throughout the campus life.
