I’m researching a career in computer animations. The reason is because I like video games and that is one of the many things computer animators do. Also there are a lot of career opportunities. The career has been around for a while. The movie and entertainment areas started a few years back, but the area that I want (video games) started with pong. Back then all games were arcade but then the Atari 20 was invented and that made room for future consoles like the Xbox 360, Play Station 4, and the Nintendo 3DS.
Today about 79,000 people work in computer animations, and is estimated that about 90,200, give or take, will work in computer animations. These people work in a variety of forms of computer animations from a fun Disney Pixar film to a very violent, gory, brutal, have to be 18+ to play video game (like Dead Space). Employment for this career require at least a bachelor’s degree in computer animations and design. You can find a job at any of the big name movie studios like Pixar, or you can find a job at a video game studio like Bethesda Softworks.
As a computer animator you’re supposed to use a computer to make a 3D model and then animate that model making it move. This can be seen in every single Pixar movie. Also in most movies that needed the help of CGI to make an impossible seen reality. The specific duties of a computer animator vary depending on a few factors. These include where you work, what you do, and how you work for. The hours are your usual 9am to 5pm. I was unable to find anything unusual about this job.☺
For this job there are no gender restrictions, no racial restrictions, and very minor age restrictions. Most Jobs prefer there workers to be at least 21 years of age to be able to work there, however,...

After researching this carrier for two weeks I still want this job. The reasons include the pay is good, I really like this carrier, and a whole bunch more. Also I have wanted this carrier for a long while now and I have decided to stick with it. I rely like this career for the fact that there are already so many people employed in this career, and the fact that it is expected to rise dramatically is awesome. Also this career seems like it’s a lot of fun. There are a few things that I don’t like about this career. For example you have to go to college, also you have to work and does anyone actually want to work all day for a living. I mean why can’t we all just sit on our buts playing video games all day being lazy, o well. Any way this job has disadvantages like you won’t do very athletic things so if you don’t work out at home you might gain a little weight.
Good character animation costs $110,000 - $150,000 per minute, multiply that by 20 and you realize the money involved.
The first animated movie produced by Pixar, a famous space ranger named Buzz Light-year said, “To infinity and beyond!” and that is exactly where Pixar has taken the animation industry. The success of Pixar is duly noted worldwide and they remain a leader in the animation industry. The company reeled in more than 100 awards and nominations for their work on animated films, commercials, and technical contributions to the animation industry. The trials and triumphs of this company have earned it its spot as one of the leading animation companies in the entertainment industry today. With all this success it is hard to think it was almost over before it ever began. Pixar’s history of trials and triumphs starts with a group of men and their ideas that would revolutionize the entertainment industry.
In 1977, Miyamoto started as a video game artist. Video game artists fabricate the graphics of the game, such as characters, objects, surface textures, clothing, props, user interface components, environment, animation, 3D, 2D, cut scenes and more. They work with other team members to make the vision of the game come to life. They create and draw things digitally or by hand. They draw constantly and create portfolios of their work. They major in visual arts. Options include a bachelor of design in digital studio, a bachelor of arts, and a bachelor of fine arts. An artist must be able to work effectively with other artists and/or without other artists, be creative and/or imaginative, have attention to detail, have strong observation skills, and have good communication skills. Artists need to also receive feedback from QA Testers and apply it to the game. Artists do a variety of jobs which have diverse responsibilities and techniques, including concept artists, 3D modellers, 2D artists, texture artists, animators, technical artists, and computer graphics
Before finally deciding on my career path, I had a very hard time trying to choose which path I wanted to take. After considering what I truly enjoy doing and what skills I possess, I have decided that I wanted to become a graphic designer. I want to be a graphic designer, because I feel that I would have a chance to use all of the skills I possess and be happy while doing it. In order to become a graphic designer, there are certain educational requirements that must be met. There are also specific job requirements that I must accomplish. Although there are many requirements, the personal benefits I gain will make up for all of the hard work in the end.

Just like most art forms it takes practice to become really good at animating. Computers have helped to make animation a quicker and simpler process then it once was. Now computers have been used in almost every animated film that has come out in the last ten years. Because of this animation quality has improve dramatically to the point that animated characters are serving as major characters in many of the top movies today. This includes characters such as Ja-Ja Banks in Starwars, The many dinosaurs of the Jurassic Park movies, and Gollum in the Lord of the Ring movies.
The Role of Computer Generated Imagery in the Film Industry Computer Generated Imagery is the special effects used in motion pictures to create a visual depiction of an illusion that can not be easily created in real life. Directors of major motion pictures have been using these technologies since the early days of the personal computer. Early on, when and special effects were in their beginning stages, it was difficult to make efficient and effective effects that are well accepted by the movie critics and the general public. An evolution of special effects and the introduction of computerized animation brought the standards for movie effects to a higher level. The development of new methods of Computer Generated Imagery for less money and more effective than in the past has allowed even fairly low budget movies to incorporate such technology.

My career choices have changed through the years from mother and housewife through architect, accountant, or teacher, finally I have arrived at a computer career. The following is an idea of the path I have followed.
Computer technology invades the film industry. The existence of computers have aided in the production of genres of film ranging from action movie special effects, to cartoon animation and claymation. Computer Generated Imagery, better known as CGI, assists filmmakers in many ways. An image can be made two-dimensional from a three-dimensional scene, camera angles can be altered to make a character seem larger and thus more important than its surrounding bodies, and colors can be brightened or neutralized, among other things (Parsons, Oja 1). Without the aid of computers, movies would not have the ability to be what they are today.
Animation, like any other creative art, requires a successful animator to be: patient, talented, disciplined, and willing to work hard. Among the term animation are subcategories such as: character and effects. Character animation is the hardest, in that is requires the most skill. The animator must have a critical eye for every detail that goes into the final project. Character animation can also be broken up into its own subcategories such as: 2D, 3D, traditional, stop motion, and motion graphics. However, 2D and 3D are the most commonly pursued. Regardless if the project is generated by hand or by computer, the overall goal of the animator is to entertain. The animator must have both a clear concept of how to entertain the audience, and
Computer Graphics is the bond between humans and computers. Computer graphics is a large field that branches into almost all fields of computer science; however its roots are young. Computer graphics has massively grown over the past 40 years and is now our primary means of communication with computer applications. Do to technological limitations in the 1950s, computer graphics began as a small, specialized field. The Whirlwind project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is marked as the origin of computer graphics (Machover 14).
