Disneyland In the summer of 2010, my family and I traveled to Los Angeles to visit Disneyland in Anaheim. It was my first time visiting Disneyland and the feeling of excitement overcame me as I anticipated the trip. My family consisted of my mom, dad, brother, grandparents, cousin, uncles and my aunt. The morning of the anticipated day I could feel the adrenaline flowing through my body, despite the lack of sleep I felt energetic. The rush of euphoric energy stayed with me as we reached the park, and it amplified as I heard the magnetic buzz of Disneyland. I could hear the nostalgic ambient music, laughter, screams, the voice on the overhead speaker, the clanking and shuddering of the rides. My exterior began deteriorating as the sweltering …show more content…
I could smell the scents that omitted from the concession stands. I grabbed a map to guide me through my exploration, and we set on our path to the Haunted mansion. The line was moderately long but it followed a steady pace, so we were on the ride in no time. I was adamant on sitting in the middle because I’m secretly scared of the ride. I have a strong fear of the paranormal, even though the ride was quite tame my fear became my companion. I later found out that people sprinkle their ashes in the haunted mansion from my aunt’s boyfriend; which of course only made me more paranoid. The next ride we went on was matterhorn bobsleds and the line was long and it moved slowly. When it was finally our turn I strapped myself into the bobsled I shared with my aunt. The ride launched us forward with rapid speed, it contrasted the snail-paced line we were in. It was quite the thrill and refreshed my dopey mood. It was fun despite the fact that I banged the back of my head into my aunt’s forehead, and her boyfriend injuring his …show more content…
The distinguishing green logo could be spotted around the room. From the walls, to the mugs on the shelves, and on the cup held by the businessman; who was sternly studying his laptop screen. There were ample options for drinks and were displayed on the back wall. Next to the cashiers, there are pastries displayed on glass shelves that you can buy to enjoy your drink with. It's always crowded because many students like to visit after school. Some need a form of energy, get a fix for their sweet tooth or wait for their rides to pick them up. It's a hassle to find seats but the experience is still enjoyable
After recording the behaviors of disabled and nondisabled guests at Downtown Disney, it became evident that the social construction of disability may have an influence on the amount of interest or engagement shown between individuals. Based on the observations recorded, it appears that the nondisabled people seemed to show a lack of interest or regard for the disabled people involved in the interactions. Although it may not have been overt, it seemed nondisabled people exhibited subtle signs of superiority over disabled people, appearing to treat them as if they were helpless or burdensome.
We went back to our room after we finished at Epcot. It had gotten up to ninety degrees outside, and we were exhausted. It was a thrilling experience to see all my favorite places again in Epcot. I can’t wait to come back and relive this experience again. This place is something I will never forget.
When we left the hotel, my parents had a tough time finding the theme park. There were so many overpasses and lanes, my dad missed the exit a few times. Luckily, my dad finally got off at the right exit. When we first arrived, I was so excited. I had never seen so many seen so many people in one place, and the climate was very different compared to El Paso. I remember listening to the roars of the roller coasters and the screams of the people on them. We finally got into the park. As we entered, I remember it being very humid and moist. There were so many different smells coming from the restaurants.
You could fit all of Disneyland plus 500 more cars into the parking lot at Disney world. Disney world is 40 sq. miles. To put that in a visual for you it’s the size of all San Francisco. Walt Disney created Disney World because he wanted a place where families could spend quality time and fun together in a safe environment. Disney World’s Magic kingdom is number one world wide the most popular theme park in the whole world with Epcot at a close third. Also according to Buzzfeed Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the most enjoyed ride at Disney World, and you don’t want to miss out on that. In 1971, 10,000 people came to Disney World’s grand opening. Today the average attendance is 52,000 it says in temporary tourist. Disney world has changed
“All right. I’m corny. But I think there’s just about a-hundred-and-forty-million people in this country that are just as corny as I am.” Walt Disney was a major part of the Twentieth Century media and entertainment production. Disney was born December 5, 1901 in Chicago, and died of lung cancer on December 15, 1966. He was a chain smoker all his life, which may have been the cause of his lung cancer. His parents impacted him because they were German/English and Irish descent, and the Disney family frequently moved between Marceline, Kansas City, and Chicago.
I stepped in and was shook by the loud music that was playing, now I can’t even hear myself think. As i walked through, the tension grew greater every time I turned a creepy corner, where I thought someone was waiting to scare me out of my skin. Most of the time though, there were people dressed up as fiction characters screaming in my face making me jump. It felt like this went on forever as there were so many twists and turns to walk through. Then, we went through a part of the house that used some sort of inflatable which pushed on both sides of you. Me, scared of what's to come, I ended up crawling on the ground. This was much worse than walking because the ground was made up of rocks. As we reached the end of the walk-through I could see the light which was a huge relief. When I got out, it wasn’t where I came from, it was a door to another haunted house. Why many people pay to go back to where they just got scared is unusual, but there is an actual reason for this allure of fear when being scared over and over again. Being scared makes a situation more intense, and these time are more
“Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs. But it’s your choice to scream or enjoy the ride.” At Six Flags Great America, people everywhere are screaming and enjoying the rides around them. With the many different types of rides, Six Flags is an all around entertainment park for people of all ages. Interestingly enough, what people may not know is that Six Flags is also a physics class. Through the many rides that people may go on, they experience velocity, gravity, motion, energy, etc. We tend to see the fun throughout Six Flags, but we miss that physics can be interpreted in our daily lives each and every day.
“Come on, guys,” I yelled at my family, which consists of my mom Madonna, my father John, and my two sisters Alissa and Kara, as I ran frantically across the jam-packed parking lot to the opening gate that led to a world of adventure. As wide as the world around, my eyes pierced at the doorway to a world of fun. Families, of all sizes, were enjoying all the possibilities of fun. Hearing laughter and frightening screams, warned me of the experience waiting for me within the doorway to everlasting amazement. The sweet baked smell of funnel cakes swarmed into the fresh morning air. Before I knew it, my family and I were ready to enter Valleyfair, an amusement park that offers summertime fun to the maximum.
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
Want Disney The amazing Walt Disney was an American entrepreneur, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and film producer. As a prominent figure within the American animation industry and throughout the world, he is regarded as a cultural icon. I want to talk today about his famous film producer side. I chose to pick Walt Disney as my producer because he made some of the best childhood movies that I will always cherish because it was all I wanted to watch in my younger years.
It all began when a couple of friends and myself went to Six Flags for some fun right at the beginning of summer. We arrived there early in morning, which was about nine o’clock for us. The birds were chirping and the sun was bright. There was also a hint of dew, making the grass sparkle in the sunlight. The place was packed, people were standing in huge lines waiting to buy their tickets. My friends and I were lucky because we had season passes and just walked right to the front gate and walked in. Naturally there was a security check at the front gate, little did I know that I was going to run into them again in the near future. From there we went straight to the ride “The Mind Eraser.” It was always wise to go to that ride first, because as the day progressed, the line grew longer. Since the ride is only about a minute long, the wait then becomes to long to make the ride worth the wait. As we got on, all of us were a little jumpy. It was the first time being to the amusement park that year, and our stomachs were not immune to the s...
Whenever you make your first steps into Disneyland, you’re immediately in shock and awe of the beauty and amazement of the park itself, and sometimes you feel like working there because the wonderful vibes it gives, or the smiles on the children’s face when there, or the amazing rides. But is it really worth working there? For those who don’t know, Disneyland is an amusement park in Anaheim, California made by The Walt Disney Company. Disneyland is a enormous household name, and everyone knows what Disney is, and how massive the amusement parks and the company is. “The Disney Parks were created by a man named Walter Elias Disney (AKA Walt Disney) in 1971.
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
The second I stepped foot onto the amusement park’s property, I could feel the magic swirling all around me. As I walked through the crowds of people young and old wearing Disney apparel and Mickey Mouse ears, everything seemed so enchanting: the cheerful music, the twinkly lights on all of the buildings, and the stores that could have been from my favorite Disney movies. Walking along the streets, I took pictures of everything around me because I did not want to forget a single detail; I took pictures of the vibrant yellow, red, and pink flowers that lined the streets, the buildings with intricate details and designs, and the massive roller coasters that glided so swiftly on their tracks. The air was filled with heavenly scents of sweet churros, and I had to get one; it was delectable. Everything at Disneyland seemed perfect and like it was out of a movie. Even as I was about to leave, I got drawn back in; spectacular, bright, colorful fireworks started bursting right over my head, and I could not bring myself to go. My first visit to Disneyland was truly enchanting and magical. At the time I thought no other vacation could
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
