In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget. When we left the hotel, my parents had a tough time finding the theme park. There were so many overpasses and lanes, my dad missed the exit a few times. Luckily, my dad finally got off at the right exit. When we first arrived, I was so excited. I had never seen so many seen so many people in one place, and the climate was very different compared to El Paso. I remember listening to the roars of the roller coasters and the screams of the people on them. We finally got into the park. As we entered, I remember it being very humid and moist. There were so many different smells coming from the restaurants. Next, we were searching for an information booth, to see if we …show more content…
We went ahead and shopped for some souvenirs. I believe I my mom bought me a Batman tee shirt, along with a few other things I could not recall. Then I saw a store that sold candy. Walking in I saw a diverse variety of sweets, and they had everything from chocolate to lollipops. My eye caught a little container full of gummy worms, and I decided to a bag full of them. Once my mom purchased the candy, we began to head out. I remember walking next to my father. When suddenly, boom! I ran into a ginormous window, and my dad walked through the door. My parents and the young lady working the cash register began to laugh. My mom said, "Are you okay?", "Yes, I am fine.” I said. She looked at my forehead, and she noticed I had a small bruise. My mom thought it best that we sat down for a few minutes. I thought we should go on another roller coaster. We ended up getting on The Superman Krypton

We went back to our room after we finished at Epcot. It had gotten up to ninety degrees outside, and we were exhausted. It was a thrilling experience to see all my favorite places again in Epcot. I can’t wait to come back and relive this experience again. This place is something I will never forget.
Out of all the trips I have taken, Cancun was definitely the best. It was 2013 and I was in fifth grade. I had known about the trip for weeks and I was so amped up for the plane ride, for the hotel, and especially the ocean. I was in science and the teacher was getting mad because I was distracting all the kids by jittering all over the place. Finally I heard my name called over the intercom and I leaped for joy and ran out of the classroom. From school we drove to the Iowa Airport, got our tickets and loaded onto the plane. Our first plane took us to Chicago, Illinois where we boarded a plane , at the O’Hare International Airport, departing for Cancun,Mexico. The second plane was very lengthy, I tried to sleep but I didn’t actually fall asleep
Somehow, I made it back to the hotel. Immediately, I had a huge dinner. That night I slept like a rock. I had fallen asleep to a beautiful Utah sky, one that I wouldn’t forget. The next morning I packed up, checked out, and hopped in my car. Before I left there was one thing I had see. It was the maze, the last main feature of the park I had not see. Once I got there I saw really why it was called the maze. The large rocks formed in a such a way that the path below swiveled multiple times before the rocks were cut off. I observed the seen and then hopped in my car. As I drove to the airport I thought of how much I loved and would remember this trip despite all the
When we awoke the next morning, we got dressed and left the hotel headed towards Six Flags over Houston. My grandfather had bought us some coupons for the entrance fee so it would not cost as much. When we arrived, the air seemed very oppressive. The mood had already set itself to a very depressing day. We walked to the entrance and we found out that the coupons were no good. That did not stop us our parents paid the normal cost. We were finally at Six Flags.
At about 11:00 we had gotten out of the car after a long ride. The fresh air smelled rich compared to the air that we were breathing in the car. The first glimpse that I saw of the waterpark was astounding. It was massive, huge, humongous, and larger than any water park that I have ever seen. Once we came my mom
We went to New Mexico for a week to build a playground. The trip was long and hot but it was worth it. The playground was going to be built at a Manuelito Najavo Childrens Home in Gallup, New Mexico. In the middle of their dorms. We arrived at a cottage and starting unpacking, choosing rooms, and all that. Dinner came, we all took showers and went to bed.
When I was seventeen years old and going into my senior year of high school I was given the opportunity to go on a trip to Spain with my school. It was a two week trip during the summer, visiting different cities and historical sites throughout the country. While we where there we went to see a Flamenco dance show in Seville which is about an hour and a half outside of Madrid, the city where we were staying. It was a Wednesday around one o’clock when we left and the ride up there was really beautiful. We were driving through the country side passing some small villages on the side of the road. We arrived there around 3:30 and sat down for the show. It was really cool they had all the ladies with their bright dresses and fruit in their hair dance around while we ate lunch. And the show ended around five and we started to head home. On the way home we were driving through the countryside along side a small village when all of a sudden we heard a loud bang and the bus started slowing down. After a couple of ...
I remember it like it was yesterday, my family took our first trip to Six Flags Great America. I was around seven years old and terrified by everything around me. The roller coasters were like brobdingnagian snakes that twisted throughout the entire park. My first rollercoaster changed my life forever. I was barely the required 48”, and my dad sat me down on American Eagle. Before the ride I was sobbing, yelling, and scared out of my mind. The lift hill had to be the longest moments of my life. We climbed up the 127’ slower than I thought possible, and then it happened. The car crested over the first hill, and the expression on my face couldn't have changed more. I went from a terrified and mortified child, to a boy who was on top of the world. The feeling of falling down the hill, then climbing up another and entering a helix and the some more
It all began when my brother’s traveling baseball team had a week long tournament in St. Louis, Missouri. Because I’m not a particular fan of baseball, it was tremendously boring having to sit in the beaming sun all day long for a week. Plus, I had to babysit two five year old girls that never stopped bickering and whining. To have some fun with the whole family involved, my parents thought that it would be nice to take everyone to Six Flags! I was so exhilarated that in the car ride there, which felt like hours but was really only
This 4th of July I went to L.A. with my roommate to visit his family. I had been promising myself that I would go to the Queen Mary in Long Beach for the last three times I was in L.A. and this time I was determined to go. So After I had seen the fireworks at the La Verne high school.
Beginning of summer 2013, my family; which includes my mother, aunt, little brother, and myself, decided to take a trip to Texas. During our little vacation we went to Dallas and met the people off of Gas Monkey Garage, the TV show, and got pictures with them as well, they all smelled fantastic, like fancy cologne. Also we stopped at a mall in Dallas where they have a ice skating rink! I’m pretty sure we need malls with ice skating rinks in Utah! Anyways we ended up leaving with 6 pairs of flip flops from a little shop that reminded me of Hawaii. We went to Galveston Texas and rode a four person bicycle on the street next to the ocean, also in Galveston I learned how to catch little crabs with a net and a piece of bacon, we went to an amusement park on a pier; not just for rainbow flavored dippin’ dots, but also for the insane roller coasters that go over the ocean. While in Texas I learned many
The second I stepped foot onto the amusement park’s property, I could feel the magic swirling all around me. As I walked through the crowds of people young and old wearing Disney apparel and Mickey Mouse ears, everything seemed so enchanting: the cheerful music, the twinkly lights on all of the buildings, and the stores that could have been from my favorite Disney movies. Walking along the streets, I took pictures of everything around me because I did not want to forget a single detail; I took pictures of the vibrant yellow, red, and pink flowers that lined the streets, the buildings with intricate details and designs, and the massive roller coasters that glided so swiftly on their tracks. The air was filled with heavenly scents of sweet churros, and I had to get one; it was delectable. Everything at Disneyland seemed perfect and like it was out of a movie. Even as I was about to leave, I got drawn back in; spectacular, bright, colorful fireworks started bursting right over my head, and I could not bring myself to go. My first visit to Disneyland was truly enchanting and magical. At the time I thought no other vacation could
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
The whole drive there I was just wondering what I was going to do and see over there. I mean I thought I thought I was excited about my plane ride there, but that wasn?t even half of what I was feeling at that time. Once I saw the roller coasters as we drove to Universal?s Island of Adventure my face just lit up like the sun.
