“Come on, do it!” my aunt exclaimed at me the day before our trip to the amusement park. My family would always take a trip to an amusement park every other summer. I was always scared about going on the roller coasters. So one day before the trip, my aunt wanted to push me and my sister to do something new through a bet. The bet was that I had to chose one ride or the other ride but I had to choose one. My sister chose the one I didn’t choose so we both had to go on separate rides. Then the one day came and my sister, me, my cousin and my aunt drove to the amusement park building up the anticipation each minute in the car. We all drove up the the park entrance and into the parking lot. After seeing the coasters from the ground, they looked fine but then I realized that they would seem way higher than they were. Then the doubt of going on the roller coasters started rolling in. I always wasn’t able to go on the big rides whenever I came here because I was always scared of them because of the heights. First of all when we got there we walked around for a while getting snacks and playing games and were having fun. Our plan was to go around the park hitting up each ride we pass and eventually go on almost every ride. Although I didn’t tell my aunt, I was scared about the big ones that my aunt loved. We walked up to the …show more content…
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
After walking past those, my family and I walk under the giant globe. It is an enormous structure and walking under it made me feel like an ant. It was white and had the appearance of a giant disco ball. There was a line to go inside the globe too. This was a ride called Spaceship Earth. It felt cold and cramped walking into the globe. When I got on the ride, it brought us back in time. Anyone could choose their own language, so we thought of listening to it in Japanese. This showed cave men, the Romans, the Egyptians, people from the 1800s, and people from now. This ride also showed us what we would do in the future. It was a funny feature, where it showed ourselves flying in hover cars and using other futuristic inventions. That was the end of the ride after that.
Walt Disney has brought two theme parks to life because of his imagination. He never stopped chasing his dreams, even if they seemed impossible. Walt Disney World came after Disneyland and it is located in Florida. Disney World is known to be the "most magical place on earth" and the place "where dreams come true". Many people haven't been to the park, so they might be skeptical of the "magic" that is held within. Walt Disney World is the "most magical place on earth" because of the rides, characters, shows, the electrical parade, Wishes Nighttime Spectacular, and the infinitely growing attractions.
Have you ever felt the rushing wind on your face while spiraling through the air? Well if so, then you have probably been on a roller coaster. This October was the first time that I have been on a roller coaster. Traveling with a group of friends, went to the Haunt Night at Worlds of Fun. It was quite an thrilling experience. There were zombies and goblins prowling around, waiting to give you a scare. When we were on our way I was nervous, but excited. As we all trudged up, Keeshawn, Paige, Makenna, Cooper, Katie, and I went to the first ride, The Patriot.
What most people expect to hear is me looking forward to riding the roller coasters. I hope that’s not what you thought because I hate them, maybe not hate, but really I’m just not a big fan of high altitudes in general. Consequently, this is why I was always reluctant to going with my family on this trip. Nevertheless I always went. Now that you know I’m not a fan of heights you could guess what attractions I was accustomed to riding, let’s just say my height requirement was more than enough to be eligible to ride. This specific year I decided to bring a friend to accompany me and in hindsight that was a bad idea because he was a roller coaster
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
We sat down, on the ride, and the warm bars hugged around our chest. . I screamed one million times more than the little kids sitting next to me. The day went on and the sweet winds danced through the air. The excitement of Bailey, I, and the other people grew as we approached the bigger rides. After riding everything, the sky was starting to go to sleep. Because my stomach was in a whirl, I had to face my fear. We were standing in line of the Top Thrill Dragster. When I was standing there I was nervous with big eyes and my jaw wide open it could touch the ground.
After we ate we went to go look at the rides they had we started at The Tony Hawk, The Tony Hawk was a roller coaster on a small track and while it was on the track it spun around! I tried to envision what it would be like to be on that ride since we didn’t ride it, it really did look like a fun ride though the next ride we went to go check out was the excalibur, that ride looked like an amazing fun time, it was kind of like a catapult ride, it launched upwards and came back around what made it even more interesting was that it spun around at the same time, I wish I would’ve been taller at the time by reason of I was to short to ride it although, I did get to watch my sisters summer and hanna be on it they had snot coming out of their noses when they got off, it was
My palms were sweaty, I was a nervous wreck; should I go or not? Just the thought of people dying at Six Flags gives me the chills. Falling off a ride and slowly coming to your death. Even though I was at Six Flags who would have thought that I would have to make such a tough decision about a ride.
I remember it like it was yesterday, my family took our first trip to Six Flags Great America. I was around seven years old and terrified by everything around me. The roller coasters were like brobdingnagian snakes that twisted throughout the entire park. My first rollercoaster changed my life forever. I was barely the required 48”, and my dad sat me down on American Eagle. Before the ride I was sobbing, yelling, and scared out of my mind. The lift hill had to be the longest moments of my life. We climbed up the 127’ slower than I thought possible, and then it happened. The car crested over the first hill, and the expression on my face couldn't have changed more. I went from a terrified and mortified child, to a boy who was on top of the world. The feeling of falling down the hill, then climbing up another and entering a helix and the some more
As I sat in the couch, I was trying to think of something really fun to do. So it came to mind that I have always wanted to go to six flags. I shouted out “six flags”, everybody looked at me and said, “yes”! Everybody got ready and as soon as everybody was done, we all jumped in my mother’s green minivan. By the way it was my favorite car.
My sister gave me a thin rope, now that I know a little more than usual this was the most amusing thing I had ever done. I could see all my family members with a wide open mouth looking at me, I started to think this was a fantastic experience. When I got off, we left back home to go buy some drinks and snacks, then we immediately came back to the farm and I started putting back the saddle since my uncle had previously removed it. Some of my cousins really wanted to get on but my other cousin, Kiara didn’t and she told me “ I don’t know how to ride it”.
Your hands are shaking so much it takes a while for you to get your seat belt off, so you need a little assistance from a worker. When you stand up, it instantly feels like you are about to vomit all of the cotton candy, and candy apples you had eaten early that day. It feels as though the bile has built up in your gut and it is ready to spew through your mouth. When you step out of your seat, your legs are wobbly and feel like Jello making it challenging for you to walk correctly, and everyone notices you having a hard time standing. Your hands are quivering, but you know you just had the ride of your life, so you feel some sense of pleasure. Even though you feel like your life has flashed before your eyes, you are cheerful you rode the ride, but don’t know if you would consider riding it
Eren watched the retreating backs of his two best friends as they walked on ahead chatting animatedly with each other as if they haven’t wronged him in any way. How could they betray him like this? Mikasa must’ve noticed her brother’s grumbling behind her because she stopped and pressed her finger into his forehead without him realizing. The jolt surprised him and anger overtook surprise in a matter of seconds.
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
