Early Saturday, August 19th, 2017 morning when my friend Bailey and I arrived to the adventurous Cedar Point ; which is located in Sandusky, Ohio, USA. I was wearing a pink shirt, shorts, and a black pair of shoes. The skies were big and blue, and the sun casted a warmth feeling. The air had a mouth warming feeling, and had the smell of fresh foods in the distance. People had big smiles on their face of enjoyment while others looked nervous or frightened. As I waited in line for the Millennium Force, there were butterflies flying around in my stomach. When I sat in my seat and the clanking of the chains lifted me up the big hill, the waves in the lake were dancing with the wind. We reached the top a cool breeze brushed along my arms, and in a blink of an eye, we were going downhill and all around in twisted movements. I got of the ride and a train was passing by. The fumes from the train were strong and gave a heavy smell of iron as is passed on by. The …show more content…
clouds started covering up the sky and cried a soft cold sprinkle. The next ride we went on was Valraven. People had big smiles on their face of excitement ,but others looked frightened. As we waited ; in the long line, the vibrations from the big rides rumbled through the air. Bailey asked, “Are you ready” as we approached the top the of stairs.
“Nope, but there’s no backing out now”, I responded. We sat down, on the ride, and the warm bars hugged around our chest. . I screamed one million times more than the little kids sitting next to me. The day went on and the sweet winds danced through the air. The excitement of Bailey, I, and the other people grew as we approached the bigger rides. After riding everything, the sky was starting to go to sleep. Because my stomach was in a whirl, I had to face my fear. We were standing in line of the Top Thrill Dragster. When I was standing there I was nervous with big eyes and my jaw wide open it could touch the ground. In line we did not cry, but we chanted: “Not ready, Not ready, Not ready, Not ready!” We both walked up the ramp and were the next ones in line. Now the pit in my stomach was even bigger. I really wasn’t ready. We walked to the cart and we both got in. The buckles were hugging my thighs tightly, before the ride blasted
off. “Not ready, Not ready, Not ready, Not ready” We both chant nervously. And, before we knew it the ride blasted off up the hill and straight back down. To blink the ride was already over. It was probably my favorite ride. After the ride we decided to head towards home. Because my first trip to Cedar Point was a blast it is going to be a memory that will last forever.
Sarah, with her energeticness, found a way to persuade me to finally ride the dragster. My heart was pounding loudly with quasi-hesitation. With that fast pass that I won during a game of plinko, we had to wait 5 at the most for the front row of the train. It was a better choice than having to “patiently” wait in a one hour line with the hot sun baking your back. We were only a few launches away from moving into the ride station. The theme song, “Ready to Go” by Republica, was being played in the station. When I heard this song, I felt everything but “ready to go.” There were two seats across per row on each train which didn’t make the regular line go faster. All I could think about was the death-defying plunge down the one unbelievable 420-foot hill, I had pre-ride jitters. The train moved to the “starting line”, also known as the launch area. My thin legs trembled as I thought, this is it. Ever since that first glance, my heart rate increased. I heard a loud motor revving sound effect. Arms down, head back, and hold on. I found the brief message nettlesome, because it was frequently
It was almost time to leave when we rode our final rides. “Let’s ride the Fahrenheit one more time.” I said. We walked to the line and rode that one last time for the day. I walked to the car with all my friends behind me. We were all so tired as we hopped in the car. It was a great day at Hersheypark. One of our favorite roller coasters didn’t work, but we still had
Handshoe had to get all of the tickets and drink bracelets. Next we got inside and Me, Landon, and Zach got a locker so we didn't have to carry around our bags all day. So the we go to our first ride of the day but Zach was to scared to get on anything so he just waited, we got on the Corkscrew, and it had a ton of twists and turns. After that we just walked around for a while, but then landon got to scared to get on anything else and so it was just me. So me and Landon were supposed to go on this ride called the Magnum, so i got into one of the cars and then i told Landon to come on and he said ha ha, no, and so i was stuck on this ride all by myself and i was kinda scared. After what landin did to me i just found another group to ride rides with and so i found Brandon Chase's group and just rode rides with them and Bradlee Kinnard, We rode The Rougarou, The Millennium Force, and a ton of other rides, and while on most of the rides i lost my voice and got sunburned. Then it was time to
I ended up on the line with my mom because since my mom saw a six-year-old on the ride, she was going to make me man up and overcome my fear of what she considers a silly ride. The last group of people before our turn were
As we get closer to the top I began to sense my nerves resurfacing. I could hear the screams of the kids that were already on the ride and I was excited since I knew it would be a lot of fun. As we wait for it to be our turn I take in my surroundings and notice for the first time just how beautiful the day really was.
We pass through an archway with the name of the ride, The Flight of the Hippogriff, written across it. I want to run back to the bench where my mom and grandma are waiting, and I slowly shuffle my feet. You can’t turn back now, I think. The sounds of screams and laughter echo from above us. I look up to see part of the roller coaster arching above our heads. I will probably be up there in a few minutes, but thinking about it makes me want to hide. As we inch towards the front, the sweet, lingering taste of butterbeer in my mouth turns sour. It feels like my stomach is a washing machine that has been overloaded with clothes, spinning around and around. After a few minutes we get to the front of the of the
Now I have goosebumps on my body, thanks to the people who made this ride. When I finally started to get comfortable it was are turn to go on the ride! C’mon it had to be right when I got comfortable, it just had to be. I stepped on the ride shaking with fear, strapped the seat belt on, pulled down the bar over my head. I found myself breathing really hard!
Finally, we were boarding the ride, and there was no turning back now. I had to face my fears. As the ride started moving I was holding on for my life, there was no way I was letting go till the ride was over. We started up the first part and I was prepared to go up and down the hills ahead. When the ride went down the hill, my scream was forced out of me, and I couldn’t stop. As we jerked around corners, and zoomed down hills my fears were getting smaller. When we went down the last hill I actually put my hands in the air.
I figured this would be the only way to absolve myself of fear. The ride was empty and it was my time to step up and experience what everyone saw as entertaining and I just see as dreadful. I steeped on to the rusty metal and made my way down the side of the ride. I passed a seat that was coated in vomit; so I had no other choice but to sit in the front. My friends came and sat behind me after someone cleaned up the vomit. Realizing I could have sat there filled me with envy. Butterflies filled my stomach and my heart was beating so fast it felt like my chest was going to explode. I looked down at my seatbelt and it didn’t seem very durable, but at least there was a rusty barred door on the side to keep me from falling out of the capsule. I clicked my seatbelt closed and pulled the belt as tight as I could and I held the handle bars so tight my hand started to pulsate and turn
On our way into six flags this was the only ride that I was worried about for a few reasons one, I didn’t have an extra set of clean clothes with me so if I got wet I would have to be soaked for the rest of the day. Two, the camera my brother told me that there was a camera that took a picture of you on your way down the ride. Three, the height of it I personally can deal with heights decently well, but when there is a log that high not held down by anything I get a little nervous. As we start to trudge over there I start to shake my whole body just a constant shake and I couldn’t control it and not to helo the matter my brother started to laugh. The walk up there seemed very traitorous but it wasn’t that bad but my legs refused to cooperate. When we got up there my teeth started to clatter and they wouldn’t stop my mouth had never done this and at that point I wished it wouldn’t ever again. We sat in the log boat and started to float it took approximately 2 minutes to get to the end and at this point my teeth felt like they were going to fall off. When the boat got to the end my eyes lit up and we started to fall at amazing speeds it was l was in heaven this was by far my favorite ride and even though I got soaked I didn’t care that was one of my favorite experiences in my life. Now coming down I forgot all about the camera and I
The roller coaster rumbled to a start and we began chugging down the tracks. The rickety coaster climbed up the gigantic hill, and before I knew it we were at the top. Whoosh! We flew down the first hill and my stomach dropped. As we turned the corner gaining speed I threw my hands into the air.
After eating our sack lunches, our group of five decided to enter the park. I can hear the roller coaster tracks and machinery almost sounding like a train, watching the faces of the people. After...
It was near the end of the 10 minutes my dad had given me to think about the roller coaster and I made up my mind that I was going to do it, though I did overthink it. I told my dad that I wanted to be able to ride the big roller coasters, so I will start with the small one first! My father and I marched our way to The Comet to stand in the line, the line was long and gave me time to think about what I was going to be riding. It was scary at first, I'll admit. But by the time I had gotten to the front of the line and strapped in I was full of adrenaline.
Waiting in line to your favorite roller coaster is one of the most nerve wrecking and electrifying things about being at the park. Waiting in line is one of the times where you can read numerous people exact emotions. You can see people shaking and trembling in their pants as they await their turn. Kids are jumping with joy and excitement to get on the thrilling coaster. While their mother, on the other hand is trying to calm them down because inside, her heart is beating faster
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
