People in my family said that if I’m not home, on that day the house is going to be so quiet and same as in my work place. I work at the restaurant and really like to entertain people in the kitchen so, they like when I go to the back house for a while when my break time, tell me some joke and we all laughing at the back. When I talked to my co-worker and asked her about myself in the work place, I was happy that she said that I was outgoing and very conversational to the guests as well as my other teammates. I do believe that my style of behavior shows in my work as I care about my work and my teammates alike. At work place, this is where people need to understand others people on they personality behavioral style. People that I work with impact me in many ways that I work especially on my emotional. When I work I always concentrate on what I’m I doing, I don’t want to make something wrong so, my boss will get upset me and my co-worker. I know at all workplace people are gossip others, but as if I be a supervisor, I would rather just talk to them and ask them to improve on their work or their habits to make people understand themselves and fix what they need to fix. For example, my mom works at the Thai Massage shop. She always complains about her co-worker that gossip each other everyday. She told me that she doesn’t like to hear bad thing of people, and her boss never be fair to the employees. When people work at the massage shop they need to get into queue to massage the costumer, but her boos always give the costumer to the employee that she likes first, she never take turn and my mom got so mad about it. So, she decided to leave this shop and work with another shop. This is why I think that how the boss treats their employees is the way that the employees pay the company
The workplace is a very sensitive place, especially in businesses. The workers need to be motivated by their bosses to do work properly. Otherwise, they get demoralized. The managers should not be harsh in correcting mistakes since mistakes are bound to happen in any scenario. The manager should have a democratic way of communicating with the employees, this way they become free and the job environment becomes conducive. It is evident in job-friendly environments that jobs are well done and profits increase.
Over the past year I have grown as both a person and a writer. My writing has improved
The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.
As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.
Growing up in a predominantly white neighborhood as a kid sanctioned me to perpetually become aware that I was different from my neighbors. Through some social interactions with my friends in elementary schools, I quickly descried that my appearances, such as my hair, eyes, and nose was different from my peers. For instance, my hair was a lot darker than most of my peers’ hair and the texture of my hair was different from most of them. “Grow out your hair” were phrases that lingered throughout my childhood days, where I had my hair at a very short length. Throughout my childhood, I longed to try to be a part of the dominant group in society such as the Caucasians, but I did not do anything to be a part of the bigger group in society. Instead,
Ever since I started talking this class, English 1301, with Dr. Piercy, I have been able to expand my writing and thinking skills. Not only was I able to make more better essays but I also learned important topics such as how education creates an impact in the world. In this essay I will be talking about three writings and how they are related to this course semester. The three writings are “On Bullshit” by Harry Frankfurt, “Why I Write Bad” by Milo Beckman, and “Statement of Teaching Philosophy” by Stephen Booth. How are these 3 writings related to this semester’s course work?
There are many people in this world; no two people are the same. When considering personality theories it is important to note that not all theories apply to all situations or all people. Different theories have different approaches. It is important to know the person before making assumptions about the proper theory to apply to the person or in any given situation. The purpose of this paper is to analysis how different personality theorists could interoperate different individual circumstances and behaviors based on case examples provided by the instructor.
In this paper I critically reflect on five different self-assessments: locus of control (LOC), emotional intelligence (EI), listening self-inventory, team member type and conflict management. Throughout my discussion, I focus on their correlations and apply the gathered information to my work-life experiences. I will also provide a systematic assessment of each of these questionnaires. This evaluation will address any possible weaknesses I had found within the tests and prepare my final conclusions based upon those final educated results.

They may be more talkative and ask you how your day is going or even wonder what life problems that may be bothering you that you don't want your other co-workers to know about. I believe that people who are considered to be extroverts will perform the job task at hand at a higher rate than someone who is an introvert and may keep to themselves when it comes to getting a task that needs to be completed for the employer or risk getting fired from the job because they may have been slacking off when it comes to performing tasks placed in front of
The topic of what happens to those that have, "never heard the good news of Jesus Christ" weighs extremely heavy on my heart. I work with Atheist, Muslim, Hindu and Pluralist in the technology field. Frequently I am attacked just for being a Christian. For a while it was scary to know that I have become a minority in my own country. Some how each time I am attacked I love these guys that much more. My Hindu friend really knew nothing about Jesus before he met me. At lunch one day he asked me about Christianity and I was able to share with him the good news. But for some reason he rebeled and believes the Bible is, "the greatest book of fiction ever created." If not for the revelation God provided about His Word in my second year of Bible school, I probably would be a pluralist myself. I really want everyone I share Jesus with to go to heaven and it use to be tempting to think God might make an exception. However, there is only
252). This quote illustrates the role emotions play in our lives and how they influence work environments. Emotional intelligence has been proven to be a predictor in success as an employee and effectiveness as a leader for managers. Emotional Intelligence and implementing it within the workplace will positively impact employee relations and this bottom line can increase profits for organizations. Organizations need to implement emotional intelligence training in development into its training programs. The benefits of having individuals with high emotional intelligence will bring organizations success with the industry as well as success within the organization by establish positive employee
One of the most prominent trends in organization today is the use of team to accomplish the work, which have assigned to an individual. Every team is made up of specific individuals and they are specialized in certain area of interest. If one of the specifications is missing It can be reflected on their performance. It indicates that, every individual is important for the organization. An individual’s performance within an organization and its relationship with its subordinates and coworkers is highly influenced by the Big Five personality traits. My Big five test results depicted that I am traditional/conventional individual with significantly high percentile of conscientiousness and agreeableness. I also have lower neuroticism and slightly
In application, I needed to understand my personal behaviors, tendencies, and those of others in my organization so I can better interact and serve others (Fischer, 2006, p. 1). For instance, although I let things brew to gather facts before applying a logical decision, some people use a quicker decision process (Nutt, 1986, p. 358). Additionally, I am optimistic and a realist concerning workplace diversity as I view it as practical and useful to understand and collaborate with others (Pearson Education, 2016, I.B.4). While others may not share my same beliefs, I acknowledge that an organization consists of unique people who bring their own values, personal beliefs, lifestyle preferences, and behaviors into the workplace (Fischer, 2006, p. 3; Pearson Education, 2016, I.B.4; Robbins & Judge, 2009, p. 23). Knowing that people have different personality traits, one key takeaway for me is an emphasis on understanding and using the information discovered from my personality test so that I can have a greater impact on subordinates, peers, and the organization I lead (Robbins & Judge, 2009, p.
I believe I have the capacity to maintain work stress and stay positive. It is because I am a positive thinker. From my experience, when I was perceiving inequity or facing stresses from work, I tried to restore equity by extra effort and stay focused on my goal. Therefore, these personality traits help me become a team player. Besides, I have high ethical standards which drives me to embody integrity in my actions. Honesty, integrity are very important personality traits to managers because they have responsibility of financial stewardship. Managers who has high ethical standards are likely to establish a code of ethic to guide team members’ behavior and less likely to manipulate shareholders’ assets. Individuals’ action are value drive, if I am a manager, I value company’s benefit over personal interest and I believe my ethical behaviors helps me to better manage others by building a trustful relationship with my team
