Reflection on the project Completion During my experience on the house project, I was fortunate enough to have experienced first-hand and learned many different sides of what goes into a housing project, the general process of how a project is initially planned, developed and completed; as well as how much work and details goes into every phase. The valuable lesson learned during these 10 weeks, were the many different types of work a project manager has to perform to get the project right, which in turn, have provided me with more insight into different kinds of roles and responsibilities that I could perform as a project manager. So throughout the project, we engaged into systematic approach to recruit staffs on the project. So we introduced system to scrutinised labourers and contractors to meet the skill requirements, and avoid inexperienced staff assigned on the project and workers team were selected on the basis of experience. Undoubtedly, these guys were incredibly talented and really helpful in completing the project before the project deadline. These guys with be reuse and hire for future project and reduce time for recruitment. On reflection, my biggest disappointment in these ten weeks on the course was my performance on the presentation. I failed to present my topic as compared to my colleagues and hope to prepare well next time faced with such situation. Overall, my experience on the project was positive. I was very happy with the amount of things I have learned and experienced on this project to be a project manager. I believe that this course has served a platform for me to accomplish my dream as a project manager in the future which will be a good incentive for future career. I managed to pick up tips and learned different types of skills, from learning to communicate and deal with other member on the project team. It was composed of 28 high-rise buildings with 16 stories each, with a total of 4,415 units, mostly arranged in U-shaped clusters of three, stretching for three kilometres. It formed a kind of concrete curtain for traffic passing by on the nearby Dan Ryan Expressway. Although it was meant to be an improvement over the slums they replaced, the buildings turned into hot zones for a host of social problems. The housing project was supposed to be a ‘half way house’ on the road to a better life, but it quickly became a dead end for most residents.
Conclusion Ultimately I did a much better job of implementing course material into my approach to leading the project team. Though no formal leadership role was established, I ended up becoming the “point-man.” Instead of viewing this reality as a burden (as I have been) I should make the most of the opportunity to better myself and potentially others. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, I need to make sure that I am meeting and exceeding the demands that the group places on itself and demonstrate that I am motivated.

He stuffs a massive and impressive amount of words into 205 pages, although few times the text reads as if it is also the product of flow chart. Thomsett views on project management as more science than art, for example, that project managers should not build a “fudge factor” or “float into their budgets”. If you already are an accomplished project manager this book will seem basic to you. However if you recently started on this part or share the basics with your team member, you will find it quite helpful and

If I was to retake this module I would have preferred to have spent a more dense first 2 weeks to help the team push past the "Forming" and "Storming" stages as I felt as a group we were stuck in these for too long. I would have also preferred if the team leader was stricter on certain members about deadlines as this was one of the main problems that occurred which made us fall onto our contingency plan.
Business had to bare loss as they lack in maintaining standardisation. Therefore, talent acquisition group of the organisation had to go through drastic changes due to several stakeholders having different functions that gave confusing conclusion. Other difficulties that are faced by the organisation are with tools and technology where the business had non availability of recruiting tool and had issues in data management system. Before the implementation of talent acquisition group the organisation had low recruiter efficiency. In addition, screening and sourcing process also lacked as the sourcing guidelines were not present in the recruitment process. Besides, it also lacked in sourcing prioritisation. There was no selection framework as well due to which the organisation failed in making consistency results
In the globalized economy, Successful project managers are in much demand across many industries. Organizations strongly need experienced project managers to lead their staff to accomplish their business goals and deliver successful projects. In an increasingly complex environment, project managers need to turn into many roles and have all kinds of responsibilities at each level of management within an organization. Good project managers are not born. They need to be trained. They develop their skills through study, practise and experience. They become better project managers after they finish a successful project each time. They learn new techniques and apply them on their projects. They learn their lessons from failed projects and then improve to be better project managers in the future.

Over the course of my professional life, I have become increasingly involved in project management roles. Doing so has made me aware of the many varied challenges that can face projects and the project managers who are charged with bringing them through to completion. The success or failure of projects, in whatever economic, political or social field, rests not just on the quality of the project’s goals, but also on the abilities of those involved in the project – and above all those who are managing it – to bring it to successful completion. To do this, project managers need to be equipped with a very wide range of skills, many of which are unrelated to the type of project itself. After doing the lesson, I felt that many things went well. According to the class evaluations and observation, the class really enjoyed the 4 different explore sound stations. The stations allowed for self-discovery, but were also structured enough for the teacher to have control. Classmates also liked the pictures that went along with the vocabulary terms. I think we did well with monitoring the students. We made sure the students were ready to continue to the next thing by having them give us “a thumbs up/ thumps down”. Lastly, I thought we did a great job at starting the lesson off strong with an engaging activity with the various sounds played from a cellphone app. It caught their attention and got them curious as to what

Throughout this term, my fellow classmates and I have had a chance to participate in a group project with two or three of our peers. The general topic was a vivid problem in a industry. Our class had a very wide and diverse sets of topics: from Styrofoam, to industrial hacking, to corruption in an influential international organization like FIFA, and so many more. Our group decided to develop a project named “Outsourcing and the price we pay for brands”. The name itselves is somewhat self-explanatory, however the problem is so much more complicated and interesting. In this paper, many struggles and concerns, of the group and of my my own, will be unfolded as I reflect the progress of this project.
The thought of community service was a bore to me before I began my volunteer work. I dreaded starting my community service although I knew I had to do it. Where I earned my hours did not even matter to me. I just wanted to get it over with. To my surprise it was not what I expected. Community service was not a painful experience; it was a very enjoyable and beneficial experience.
