The industrial revolution had dramatic impact on the world and to a large extent it was positive.The main area that many people argue about is technology and although it has some negative impacts, it should be primarily considered as a positive impact. Technology and other changes due to the industrial revolution has been made an positive impact on manufacturing which without we wouldn't be able to produce the goods we do today in such large numbers. The last area which has been negatively impacted by the industrial revolution was the labor and working conditions.

The industrial revolution is often thought of as the events that had sparked the transition from relying on human and horse power to use of chemical fuels. This had many positive effects but an equal share of negative impacts. A major invention that was essential was the Diesel engine by Rudolf Diesel engine (1858-1913).This engine provided modern society with the basic concepts on which Diesel engines that are used in the 21st century are built upon. This is a positive impact that is created from the industrial revolution. As you can see from source A which is Diesel's original model and is widely considered to be the world's first Diesel engine. As show in the source, it is clearly visible that the engine is quite bulky but it was quite revolutionary for its time, it also interesting that an internal combustion engine had already been built but not for diesel, this shows that during the industrial revolution ideas were being shared and improved upon. A major aspect of this was the change from using a man or horse power to using to using fuel. This had a a positive impact as it increased the gross output of the nation. Another change that took place was the way that goods were produced. Prior to the industrial revolution a product would have to be made from beginning to end by a single worker but after the industrial revolution took place a method of mass production was implemented as the primary method of production. This involves doing one stage of the manufacturing process. This is beneficial as it allows the gross out to be increased greatly. New technology also changed the way devices were produced. A major example is the textile industry, due to the industrial revolution Britain was the largest producer of textile industry.
