Discuss the phases of event management and discuss the knowledge areas involved in conducting an event using project management techniques.
In this assignment, I will be discussing the phases of event management and the areas involved in conducting an event using project management techniques. Project management looks at the initiation, planning and implementation of the event as well as monitoring te event and its closure. The goal is to integrate management plans from different areas. There are five stages in event Management and these are Initiation, planning, implementation, the event and finally closure.
This is a model that describes EMBOK which is aims project management technique that is used for events;

It can also be done with surveys and suggestion cards. It will give the event planners an idea of how to go about their next event with the comments on the positives and negatives of their event. It is a skilful organizer who will go “call it the question” and the skilled will know when enough information has been gathered, when repetitiveness is apparent.

When planning a new project, how the project will be managed is one of the most important factors. The importance of a managers will determine the success of the project. The success of the project will be determined by how well it is managed. Project management is referred to as the discipline that entails the processes of carefully planning, organizing, controlling, and motivating the organization resources so as to foster and facilitate the achievement of specific established and desired goals and meet the specific criteria of success required in the organization (Larson, 2014). Over the course of this paper I will be discussing and analyzing the importance of project management.

Event planning is always unpredictable and you need to be always ready for any problematic situation that may occur.
