Task17. Outline the policies and procedures that should be followed in response to concerns or evidence of bullying and explain the reason why they are in place.
My assigned case study is Provision 1. It is about a female, homeless veteran named Ms. Rogers with a history of alcoholism and PTSD. She staggers into the ER one night with a complaint of abdominal pain. It is noted that the homeless shelters are currently full. The weather is cold and rainy. The resident does not want to do a full work up on the patient as they think she just wants a warm bed for the night and food to eat. The story does not detail if the patient has any more medical history than what is listed above.
Their faith in me allows me to push forward, and drive me to stay on track , so I can reach my goals. In addition, without my passion to want to help others none of my goals I want to achieve would be possible.
Per Houser (2015) a program evaluation serves to “test theories, and develop practices and procedures” of intervention programs and it is intended for both the professional and scientific communities (p. 285). There are three types of program evaluations and they are based on program need, program implementation, and outcome of the program (Houser, 2015, p. 286). This paper will review the need, implementation and potential outcome of implementing a group counseling program for youth and their non-offending caregivers that have faced a trauma; after the completion of family sessions.
The earliest aerial photograph reviewed for Phase I ESA purposes was taken in 1943. The previous alignment of Highway 101, now called Santa Maria Way (or Business U.S. 101), is bordering the site to the west. An unpaved road had been constructed through the southern portion of the site that appears to be the access road to oil well Holmes No. 1, which is just east of the site, connecting it to Highway 101. The unpaved road through the site is looped with what appears to be four round tanks in the center of the loop. These structures are presumed to be oil storage tanks for the nearby oil well Holmes No. 1. Based on this photograph, it appears that one or more of these tanks are on the subject site and they are considered an environmental
As discussed, this project and its requirements highlight areas where future work/improvements can be made to increase the project and the outcome. The timeframe put on this project is something which can be changed to deliver a full implementation rather than “vanilla functionality” which would later need to be modified. Another factor to consider delivering a full implementation would be the capital investment which is used for this project as this needs to be topped
Taking the time to reflect on one’s career can increase self-awareness and enhance professional development. A career development plan is a confidential and integral document created by an individual which outlines the activities undertaken during their life. Hence, a professional development plan documents goals and skills required to accomplish dreams and aspirations. Moreover, a professional development program is reminiscent of ones’ past experiences and a glance at the future. Having a professional development plan in place is critical for graduate study to keep track of one’s progression. The principal purpose of a developmental plan is to give a description of my educational and professional background as well to explore my personal goals as it relates to my profession growth and development.
Implementing an evidenced based practice (EBP) plan can be the most difficult aspect in the process of ensuring a behavior is changed. The leader must take all measures necessary to guarantee the process is followed and the plan is a success. These steps needed are to ensure the correct team is in place; they are filled with a sense of urgency and have the needed incentives as well as are knowledgeable on how the plan will be carried out (Ahrens, 2005). The writer will outline the process for implementing the EBP of ensuring a dysphagia screen protocol and needed processes are in place at a hospital.
An example of a quality improvement initiative that could be proposed would be to reduce medical errors by improving communication and teamwork. Medical errors usually occur when there is a breakdown in teamwork and communication. The first thing that I would propose is to have all medical staff members follow a routine daily round schedule. During the daily rounding, the teams will be encouraged to collaborate and discuss the patient plan of care. A performance improvement dashboard should be implemented. Medical staff should be encouraged to use the patient's bedside whiteboards to document and keep track of daily goals. Also, patients and family members should be encouraged to ask questions and collaborate on the plan of care.
Professional Development Plan Entering into higher education and professional advancement, I have reflected on my educational background, nursing career opportunities, and future goals. Development of a plan will assist with navigating through a pathway of advanced practice training. According to Johnson (2012), the benefit of a professional development plan and portfolio can help individuals organize, present, and reflect on their personal and professional accomplishments. This presentation and summarization were the first step in mapping out my course to success.
Based on the problems associated with the current scheduling system and the research in the previous chapter, it is important that Central DeWitt High School consider the feelings and preferences of the students when creating the their schedules. Therefore, I am proposing that the administration and staff members consider allowing students to indicate who they would prefer to have as their teacher. This may require teachers to teach different courses, which would allow the administration to have more flexibility when creating the master schedule. This would not guarantee that each student would have each teacher that they have requested, but that their input is being considered when creating the master schedule. In the proposed plan, it will be important to educate the teachers’, students, parents, the counselors, and the administration. The plan will need to include how to collect the information, implement the plan, what will happen when a request could not be honored, which courses will need to be taught by more than one teacher and educating the staff, students, parents, the school board,
Discerning the context to the program that you want to explore, and allow people who will be involved with the program, to think about my own organization, and its needs and expectations for the program. It is very important to catch the attention of the organizations that you want to operate for a long time. Keeping people focus on what they are involved in is a major concern. Program planner have to work hard to carry out the context of the program to be able to keep the interest of people. Making that the facets of the program meaningful, learning, and being consistence. New directors may have to make changes after they have taken on a new position. Every culture has a unique way of learning preferences that relates to their organization.
In management, each of the four functions, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, are crucial to the development of any business. Involving employees in the planning process help them understand the goals of the organization. Planning is analyzing a situation, determining the goals that will be pursued, and deciding in advance the actions needed to pursue the goals. This paper will evaluate the planning function of the Halliburton Company and analyze the impact that legal issues, ethics, and corporate social responsibilities have on management planning along with examples of each, and analyze three factors that influence strategic, tactical, operational, and contingency planning.
