God’s will is comprehensible and certain. To walk in God’s Will throughout our time on earth, we must deliberately choose to serve God rather than the gods of this world. Joshua had confirmed that it’s possible to follow God and serve Him for a lifetime in the midst of difficult circumstances. Romans 12:2 says, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will." As we seek God’s will, we should make sure that what we are considering is not what the Bible forbids. For example, the Bible forbids consulting other gods; since God has clearly spoken on the issue, we know it is not His will for us.

God allows us to make choices, and, if we are yielded to Him, He has ways of preventing us from making wrong choices. It’s natural to want to know all of God’s will, but that’s not how He usually works. He reveals to us to take a step at a time, each move with a step of faith. We are biblically educated to:
A. Develop a sound relationship with God:
We need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ and live in God's will. We must seek to know Him, spend time in His Word, take time for prayers and take every opportunity to be involved in church services. When you do God's work, God will reveal His plan to you. "Think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths" Proverbs 3:6 (HCSB). If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus, I encourage you to make that a major apprehension. Without a connection to the Holy Spirit, none of us will have the chance to reach God.
• Confess our sins to
The Bible tells us God is sovereign and all throughout its contents we see the scriptures confirm the sovereignty of God. There have been many discussions on the selectivity of God pointing to the doctrine of predestination, the doctrine of predetermination, and the doctrine of election. But God makes it clear that He “will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy” (Ex. 33:19 KJV).
There is so much mystified confusion surrounding the will of God in today’s society. It is evident in the ways that people use the term that views about it differ widely; there is even contradiction in two things the same person might say. It is because of the recommendation of my pastor and others that I decided to read The Will of God, written by Leslie D. Weatherhead.
... way Dr. Haber in The Lathe of Heaven does. Dr. Habers use of power misses the most vital point society needs: change. I prefer to go with the Quechua speaking peoples view of not being able to see your future but being able to make glimpses. I like to think of having obstacles come my way so that I in turn can become a better person. I also believe that challenges in life our good because that is when you see how strong your faith is. If there were no obstacles in the world and only what you wish for, the world is a place that I would not like to be found at. So as for now, and with the many obstacles I will have to face in the future, I will let the God that I believe in decide what my future will consist of. As far as Im concerned, I am safer with letting God be in control because I know he ultimately knows what in fact is the best for me and not my own desires.
From the beginning of Genesis till the end of Revelations, none could deceive God. God gave people the knowledge, God gave people everything that they need to follow Him and fulfill His command. For example, God gave Moses enough details for rituals that were about to happen in a specific time and location, and even the reason why what was going to happen would take place. God gave His people a chance that to show their obedience to His ways and show those rituals, sacrifice and offering to Him. Instead of following Him, people chose to follow their hearts, which made them became sinners, and became the subject for God’s judgment. But He loved His creations so much, He sent out His only son to the world to wash human being’s sins away. In Hosea 6:6, “For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings (Hosea 6:6).” God always wants His people to follow Him with their full heart. The only way to God is through His son Jesus. He promised people if they accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, He would bless them. It is such a powerful promise which should passed by
The reconciliation of God's nature and Man's free will has long been a subject of debate for philosophers and theologians. Christianity rests upon certain ideas about the nature of God and the universe. The Bible speaks of God as eternal, all-knowing, and as the very author of reality. The concept of God as a benevolent, omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent entity is rooted in thousands of years of church tradition. This tradition is so ingrained in Western culture, that, when one mentions "God", these ideas almost invariably come to mind.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
For those who believe in a God who is living and active and who believe in the sanctity of the scriptures, the question of God's justice in the Bible does seem a contradiction at times. As Neiman observed, The Book of Proverbs presents a formula for life, promising blessings to the man who lives a moral life (436). But is The Book of Proverbs a collection of promises or is it the wise man's observations of probabilities? One can see the unpleasant consequences of poor choices, as well as the good fortunes of those who have lived a "clean" life, but sometimes this moral law breaks down. As Neiman states, "experience has led men to realize that ...
Not all relationships are necessarily good by God’s eyes. Relationships can cause one person go down the wrong path in life. For example, “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and at it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it." (Genesis 3.6). The relationship between the wife and husband allowed the husband to trust his wife; he ate the food due to the fact she ate it and believed it was okay to eat. In today 's world people watch to see if their role models, which can be family members, teachers, and celebrities, do certain acts like go out drinking or go to certain types of parties. When they see this they assume if they get away with doing this so can they. Cain and Abel had a brother relationship. By free will Cain allowed anger get to him when God saw favor in Abel’s offering but not of his (Genesis 4. 3-5). There were two main different paths Cain could take to deal with how he felt. Before he made his choice God said to him, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door.” (Genesis 4. 7). Cain had the free will to do what is right, and God tried helping him. His relationship with his brother Abel was unhealthy with the anger that led him to murder his own
listen and respond to the call of Jesus today. Through church. prayer, priests, and by fulfilling the sacraments we can be at one. with God at any time. To get a call would be to have such a strong faith that you want to drop everything to follow it.
He is a God of loyalty and like a parent, He wants what is best for His children even if it requires discipline. The cycle of God as a redeemer is so evident throughout all of Israel’s history. Even after severing their relationship with God during the fall of Israel to Babylon, God still shows love for His people and offers them yet another chance to return to Him. All they had to do was repent and change their ways and God would bring them back from exile. This is the same as what God would do for each and every one of us today. No matter what we have done or how much we have rejected God, He still offers us another chance. However, through a new covenant of Jesus Christ we are no longer come under judgment when we sin but Jesus removes all trace of our sin when we ask for
Overcoming adversity is imperative. In fact, you can 't have the happiness and success you want unless you have adversity in your life and overcome it. It is essential for progressing into who you want to be. It shows you what you are made of. It teaches you more about yourself, how to approach what you want, and how to maintain the success that you have. Without it, you wouldn 't know how far you could go or how capable you are because you wouldn 't have anything to push you or compare to.
Life is very much like driving. You are free to choose any one of the many options before you both now and in the future, but not every option will take you where God would want you to go.
I should receive a passing grade in this class because I can write now. Not just an exaggeration, but after another semester of English I finally feel confident that can write. Three of the reasons behind my confidence is I learned, I experienced and best of all I repeated. These three values helped prepare me for what is in store in English 1302 and here is why.
The Bible is full of instructions as to how God wants his people to live. It speaks of our relationship with God himself, the place of prayer and his word in our lives, and how to grow in that relationship. It talks about relationships in the home, relationships with other believers, how we should treat our enemies, our attitude to our authoritative figure and employees, what we should do with the gifts God has given us, the virtues we should seek to develop in our characters, our attitude to material possessions, and how we should regard this life in relationship to the next. We don't require any special guidance to find out God's will about these things. All we need to do is read the Bible regularly and prayerfully and seek to obey the things that God teaches us from it. Much of God's will has already been made plain. God gives us the Holy Spirit for the very purpose of enabling us to obey.
Many don’t realize that the road to success isn’t so much a road as it is a winding,
