When I was in high school, I dreamed of studying abroad. I have always wanted to be independent and explore the unknown on my own which gives me the opportunity to gain precious experience and knowledge. Besides that, I want to be more serious in learning about myself and improving myself especially in decision-making to solve new problems, doing everything on my own as well as discover my new abilities and strengths which are vital for my personal development. Being immersed and exposed to new culture and being surrounded by many other international students from all around the world will open a new horizon for me to experience. Exploring and learning many cultures and different lifestyles at the same time will help me improve my communication skills. Studying abroad would be a precious and unique opportunity for me as I will be able to pursue a world standard education. As I have always been interested with Northern Europe, I choose to study in the UK for a variety of reasons. Firstly, I was very impressed with the achievement and quality of education in the UK which has been known for its excellence in both, teaching and research along with their excellent facilities and laboratories provided. In addition to that, the universities in the UK and their facilities are safeguarded by the Quality Assurance Agency. Furthermore, in every five years, the Research Assessment Exercise will test the research quality undertaken by each university to improve their standard and quality of education. This will offer me opportunity to experience effective education both in theory and practical for my postgraduate study. During my leisure time, I really enjoy sports, both indoor and outdoor. I have represented my faculty in the sports tournament for volley ball, swimming, futsal, badminton and chess. Besides that, I also enjoy climbing and traveling as they give me full satisfaction and at the same time broaden my views and knowledge on creatures surrounding me. In conclusion, biotechnology is a challenging and interesting course as I have many opportunities to explore and discover new things. The experience and knowledge gained throughout my studies have stimulated my desire to further and take all the challenges in this course and I believe that this course really suits me. I look forward to hearing from you regarding my application and to participate in a life-changing experience at your university.
