I like music but I don't really love it. Some people are always listening to it whenever they can, but that's not really me. I have favorite songs and it's relaxing when you just want to be alone but I'm not a die-hard music lover. I learned to really listen to the lyrics though and get a good story out of it. I could easily say I like music more now that I know they have a real meaning.
Music reminds me of certain times in my life, good and bad. It's kind of like anything else, though, like watermelon, for example, reminds me of summer. My playlist is from when I was little to now. The first song is ABC by The Jackson 5. It reminds me of going to school for the first time and being excited about learning new things and making friends. My second song is I'll

This is about having a best friend to lean on when you need them and about being a good friend back to them. Being there to let them know they can cry on your shoulder when they need it and about comforting them and making memories together. My third song is Cool Kids by Echosmith. It's about learning to be yourself and not having to be popular to be "cool." Mainly for me, it was about sticking with the people who make you feel good. My fourth song is Center Field which is an older song by John Fogerty. About playing something you love and enjoying it while you can. How you feel like no one can stand in your way and wanting to play the sport all the time because you love it so much. My fifth song is Live While We're Young by One Direction. It's about not wasting your time being so serious and just letting go sometimes. It's about
My first song I´ve chosen is Sean McGee, song titled My Story. Mainly the song is about him facing different struggles, obstacles, and all the horrible things and situations he´s been in throughout his life. I can connect to this song and the lyrics for many reasons. One of his lines were ¨Do you know how it feels to be left out in the rain¨? And I have faced times like this when I feel like no one is there or have my back, and in the line he´s trying express how it feels to have nobody and be all alone. Also throughout this song he expresses how everyday you wake up your face with something rather it's just a minor issue or something that will greatly impact your life.
Whenever I play this song, I can’t help but remember my childhood. My parents struggled financially but, that was never an excuse for them. They always took my brothers and I out on small adventures. One of the most memorable memories I get when I play this song is when my parents would take us out to park to have a barbecue, while my brothers and I ran through the park till we became tired and hungry. Whenever I need a break from the world, I listen to this song just to remind myself of those special moments, even though those days won’t ever return, they are memories I will always treasure.
It reminds us of how important it is to have a bond with people who love you and to cherish every moment with them. By listening to this song, it has made me want to spend more time with my family, especially my dad. He is a major influence in my life because he has made me who I am today. When him or my mother tell me how proud they are of me, I thank them for leading me in the direction they did. My dad has taught me to chase my dreams, but always know that he’s by my side. He also taught me to “take on this whole world”, but in the end I will always be his “little
The song I’ve chosen for this assignment is Old Friends by the band Pinegrove. This is a charming alt-rock song about remembering old connections, and holding on to the new ones. In the song singer Evan Stephens Hall realizes he doesn’t make enough time for the people he really cares about when a friend of his passes away. Although I may not be able to relate to the song completely, I can definitely relate to the overall message the band is trying to get across, specifically in a few lines. “I kept saying I wanted to see you/ Saying, ‘What’s wrong with that?’
Perhaps the only song I've ever been able to attribute as my favorite song is Kuroi Ledge by A Lot Like Birds, and it holds an immense amount of meaning to me. I discovered this song searching for new music as I always did, however there was quite a difference with this song, this band, I could listen to them for hours on end. This song not only awakened something in me, it helped me face some of my worst possible fears, but some of my worst realities as well: abandonment, suicide, and the idea of finding a certain beauty in tragedy. Kuroi Ledge, literally translates from Japanese to Black Ledge, we see the danger in this, the metaphor of a dark ledge tempting us to go further, and
Music is a large consumption of my daily life and the artists I listen to have shaped me in some way. Listening to music is one of my most time
The song I choose is Rockstar by Hannah Montana. The song talks about how Hannah wants to get a boys attention but he dosent seem to care. Only if he knew that she is so much more than what is on the outside he could see that she is an amazing person. It talks about how Hannah is not just what people percieve her as, she could be anything… even a rockstar.
One of my all-time favorite songs that tells a story is, "Love Like Crazy," by Lee Brice. This song tells about how Lee Brice went through life and how he made it through with the love of his life. "Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse ‘I love you,’ go to work, do your best, don`t out smart your common sense, never let your praying knees get lazy, and love like crazy," is a meaningful line from the lyrics of the song. This line of the lyrics tells how a person can get through life through the good and bad times. More people in this world should take this song as advice for life. I have listened to this song over a thousand times, and I get more out of it each time I listen to it. I relate to this song`s story because I am living this story right now in my life. I was seventeen when I found the love of my life. Everyone around me told me I was crazy, and I had no clue what love was. I have proven them wrong so far because I have been with the love of my life for four years now. Also, I am a child grew up with nothing and I have learned that I have to work for what I what in life. I have worked since I was fifteen, and I have loved every minute of it. I also am one who will follow my dreams even if everyone around me is telling me that I cannot do it, or I am not able to do it. This song`s story has been an inspiration to me in many
I like the song “ love yourz” by J.cole because it sends out a great message throughout the song about life and the trials and tribulations that come with it. the rhythm in his words are very motivational and the beat brings more interest to the song.
Music is one of the most fantastical forms of entertainment. Its history stretches all the way from the primitive polyrhythmic drums in Africa to our modern day pop music we listen to on our phones. It has the ability to amaze us, to capture our attention and leave us in awe. It soothes the hearts of billions, and it is so deeply rooted in my life that it has touched my heart as well. Everyday I walk to the beat of the song stuck in my head and hum along to the melody. For me, to listen to music be lifted into the air by the hands of your imagination and float around for a while. You forget about your worries, your troubles and find peace within the sound. Every chapter in my life is attached with a song. Every time I listen to a certain song, thoughts of my past come flooding back
My current favorite rock song is “Cemetery Drive” by My Chemical Romance. The first time I heard the song, I not only fell in love with the sound, but also the lyrics and their meaning. Whenever I hear the song, certain types of “happy” memories flood my mind and I get this great sense of nostalgia. This song was written by the members of My Chemical Romance, primarily their lead singer Gerard Way.
Music is the third most important thing to me in life outside of god and my mom. Music keeps me balanced. Every since I was a baby music was played around me. Jazz was always played around me to soothe me. There would be times when I would be really hyper acting like I couldn't sleep, my mom would put on some jazz and I would be fine. A lot of times I can have a long chore and I say to my self how can I accomplish this, Knowing it will take me forever. So I'll put on some jazz music and in twenty-five minutes I'm finished.
My favorite song is “Two Birds” by Regina Spektor. I chose this song because of the great sentimental value it holds for me. My dad used to play a lot of Regina Spektor’s music when I was a kid, so much so that whenever I think of my childhood years I can’t help but think of her music.
Ever since I was a small child, I have loved music. The strong, steady beats, the
Music has always been a big part of my life. Music is not just a bunch of melodies, rhythms, and vibrant sounds. It is a comfort to me. The lyrics of a song challenge my intellect and the rhythms and beats affect my emotions. Music understands me when people don’t. At times it takes me back to an event in my life or even in history. Both consciously and subconsciously my mind remembers the emotions that are attached to a certain song. It can make me feel on top of the world or the complete opposite; music can change the atmosphere and also set the mood. Music has power over my human soul. It soothes it. I cannot imagine not having music to listen to. It is a powerful force and my love for it is incredible.
