Jackson Reid Ms.Marton Language Arts 7-5 16th November 2017 Alabama Thud the car door shuts once we have all of our luggage in the car and then we started our long journey south to Dolphin Island, Alabama. We were not the only car on the trip we were accompanied by our cousins and uncle and aunt, I would say we made about 10 whole stops on the way down from northern Michigan because of the two babies it only takes me and my dad three when I go to Florida to visit them but after the 10 stops and 21 hours of a foul smelling van because my sister got car sick we finally arrived at our beach house that was on twenty foot high stilts.Once we got to the island we unpacked and hung out on the beach for an hour and then went to bed because it was …show more content…
The second day we decided to take a ferry to another island that was a bit more like the city and had many more stores and we went out to eat there and got a souvenir each personally I picked out a hat while my brother and two cousins got rubber band shooters. After shopping we went to a little restaurant and had some delicious pizza that was very thin and saucy.after this we took the ferry to our beach house where all 11 of us slept, I was on an air mattress and kinda got lucky I didn't have to share one like my brother and sister because I kick in my sleep and they don't want to sleep with me when I do that. Day three on day three we had a special beach treat of a great dolphin sight at the beach only about 6 feet away from us and we got a really good look at them and how shiny they are . After we saw the beautiful dolphins we decided to go in the sand but then we found sand crabs that we caught and chased each other
After we got tired of the pool me and my family started to head to the beach. So as we walked we noticed an amazing shell so we went and picked it up and there was a snail inside of it. It jumped out of its shell at my dad and scared us to death. After that we set it back free in the ocean, the we went and played around in the amazing water. My mom and my grand ma went to go and get lunch from the beach side café. They had the best food on the beach, we all ate our lunch and were stuffed
I have never waited so long in my life, it took and hour and a half just to get three bags out to where the pickup was. We finally got our bags and took a shuttle to the Crown Paradise Hotel. This Hotel was so nice. It had a mini golf course, three pools(1 inside,2 outside), A basketball court, a movie theatre, etc. My hotel room was also super nice there were too connecting rooms so finally for once I got my own bed. The first day I did the most common and went to the beach. The sand was super hot and I’m not too fond of salt water, it just makes swimming in the ocean ten times worse. Then at night I played ping pong and pool against my dad. Then the rest of the week I would go swim in the outside pool or play futsal(soccer on pavement). I always came back with at least one blister on my foot. The worst thing about this trip was the sunburn, in cancun it's way hotter and it's so easy too get burned. This also made it hard because, since the water is so bad whenever I wanted water I would have to walk all the way to the elevator and then all the way down this long hallway to the gift shop and would buy a water bottle then go all the way back to my room. The food although was super good besides there breakfast and ketchup. The last day was the hardest it took so long trying to get on the plane and the car ride was so boring. But that’s my favorite
We loaded the van, and then we set off to go home. The trip home was pretty quiet. We stop a few times and my Mom always says “We’re almost there, guys.” I’m so glad I did. Well, after many, many grueling hours, we finally arrived home!
The next day we had pancakes that the hotel gives for breakfast. That was the best food I have had since the vacation has started. My family and I went to the beach right after that. The water was still cold, so I had to play with the sand. Instead of building a sand castle, I built a set of tunnel and stuff underground. Then, my little brother came and jumped on the tunnels and all of it fell down.
Have you ever been to Texas? I have been once. My trip to Texas was unbelievably awesome. I saw many of things on my way there. While we were there, I had loads of fun. Many things happened while we were there. Texas was the coolest place I have ever been.
It was a cool, June morning, I had my bags packed and ready to go, and just like that I was on the road to Niagara Falls! We started by getting up at five O'clock in the morning.I remember waking up to the smell of french toast, bacon, and eggs. We packed our bags in the truck, then hit the road!
It was a murky overcast summer's eve; crisp morsels of rain splashed on the ground vigorously. Sounds of jet engines buzzed in the back of my ear lobes through the torrential downpour. The common sight of the departure time of our flight being delayed yet again caught my eye as we turned the corner towards the gate. Almost an hour later we began to finally line up at the gate to get on the what then seemed massive jet plane. I remember looking out the gigantic floor to ceiling windows at providence airport at the bright blue, red and orange of the jet, so excited to be going on it. Our family carefully chose seats right near the wing emergency exits. I rushed to the window seat, plopped down and buckled my seat belt. I was ready to go to Florida. I barely took up half of the seat, I was 8 or 9, and as a curious kid I was touching nearly anything I could put my hands on. I remember soon after we sat down in the back row on the left of the aircraft the same side as us, I heard a great commotion. A woman at the back was on the phone telling her friend she had drugs and she just took them. Not soon after three men boarded the plane. One had
The trip to Florida over Christmas break was unlike any other. Yes, most people would jump at the opportunity to go to Florida after a winter like we had up to that point. So, let me give you some background on why the trip. Back in July my mother in-law had an epileptic seizure that rendered her in a coma, she has not awoken from and the doctors are pushing to let her go. She has been moved 3 hours from my brother in-laws house to Georgia. Thanks to our lovely health care system, it was the only place available that could take care of her needs. Perfect timing kids are out of school and it is a good time to travel so you would think. I have been out of work
We went downstairs and we found the swimming pool, we went swimming and then we went to bed. The next morning we got up and packed and we were back on the road. It was kind of fun because we had to cross the border into Canada. We had to show them our passports and our birth certificates to get across.
College was such a big ordeal around this time last year! Many students had no choice but to think about it every day and I was surrounded by friends and classmates thinking about the same thing. Am I sure this is the school for me? Do I really want to move away or just stay near my mom? I even thought to myself, “What about moving out of state?” Everyone was so nervous, and everyone had the right to be. We are all trying to take the next step into moving on after high school. Until April 5th, 2016, my proudest moment was this day. I received acceptance into the Alabama A&M university. It was just a regular day that I had come home to mail from different universities, and my mom and I had applied here already with my mind on going to a predominantly
When we got to New York City one of the guys on the bus started playing the song New York by Alicia Keys over and over again, so now whenever I hear it, it reminds me of our trip. When we got there and got all settled into our hotel, I think the first thing we did was go to ground zero. It was super cool, they had like two huge squares that were deep into the ground and had water in them and the sides had water flowing into the pool things in the middle. Around it they had the names of everyone who died during the 9/11 attack. We went to Times Square and that is where we got our group picture taken. We also went to Chinatown and Central Park to walk around. We took a ferry to the Statue of Liberty but we weren’t able to get off and go in it so we went to Ellis Island instead. We got to see Wicked on Broadway, it was so cool. A lot better than the Fox. We went to the 30 Rockefeller Center and go to see where they film Saturday Night Live, it is a huge building that the studio is in. We also got to go on the Empire State Building. It was so cool because once you got to the top and went outside you could see the whole city. It was also super winding on it though i guess because it is so high up. One night we got to go on a dinner boat ride. New York was super fun, but we only go to stay for a day and a half.
The first time I ever went to South Carolina it was magical. The ride to South Carolina was time-consuming and tiresome. My family and I departed to IHOP on the way and got some pancakes! When I first arrived in South Carolina, I was flabbergasted at how stunning the state was on a starry night. Driving to the condo, I was thrilled about how much space we had. I discovered many of the features of the complex.
Remember back in the glorious days of 2010 when the world was a much better place to live? Businesses could afford to give out merchandise and trips for free, and were not regulated by the corrupt U.S. government. Well, one lucky man received one wish to do anything that he wanted thanks to a genie from Make a Wish Foundation. “This seems as though I am in a dream!” he said to himself, but I wasn’t.
The place where I would like to call me second home is located all the way down in Savanna Georgia. I can remember way back about nine years ago in the summer of 2008. The plane ride was a long and hot, and I spent the whole ride playing on my PSP. When I got off the plane I remembered walking through the freezing cold Savanna International Airport seeing all the flags of different countries hanging from the ceiling, but then taking one step out of the airport front doors looking for the car services that was rented and feeling the crushing 100°F heat and deathly humidity. But it is all worth the painful heat to spend time in the beautiful city.
Summer Vacation After graduating high school my friends Kenadee, MaryKaitLyn, Madison, and I had planned a trip to Panama City Beach. The only way our parents would allow us to go is if they went with us; Kenadee and Mary’s moms went and promised us it would be like they weren’t even there, but to save money we all stayed in the same room. We knew it was going to be crowded because a lot of other graduates would be there too, Panama is like party central. None of us had ever been to a legit party so we promised ourselves we would do something fun and exciting but nothing completely stupid. We arrive in Panama and do nothing but lie on the beach all day and work on our tans.
