Remember back in the glorious days of 2010 when the world was a much better place to live? Businesses could afford to give out merchandise and trips for free, and were not regulated by the corrupt U.S. government. Well, one lucky man received one wish to do anything that he wanted thanks to a genie from Make a Wish Foundation. “This seems as though I am in a dream!” he said to himself, but I wasn’t. Now came the most difficult part, which was to pick one location in the entire world that I would want to experience. Since I would have done anything to see a Philadelphia Eagles game live, the genie granted that wish. It was in the high seventies, no clouds in the sky, and the sun was beating down on us. Then when I looked down, there was a huge limo sitting in front of us. When I realized that it was transporting us to the football game, my jaw dropped to the ground. After my parents pinched me to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, we left in this giant limousine to the best match-up of the season. At the stadium, we were escorted behind the scenes to the owners’ office. I was able to see all of the Superbowl Trophies, rings, and other memorabilia from the Dallas Cowboys. After being in the most famous office in Texas, I was able to go down to the Cowboys locker room and met the Dallas players. This is when I almost ended up in hot water. Coming into this trip, I was a huge Eagles fan. So therefore, I was asking my dad “Why can’t we be in the Eagle’s locker room instead of Cowboys?” At that moment, I could tell by the look in my dad’s eyes what he was thinking. “I cannot believe that you are complaining about which locker room you are in. You should just be happy that you are able to have this free trip and meet NFL superstars regardless of the team that they play for.” So after I was able to get over the conflict of enjoying myself and being a diehard Eagles fan, I began having a phenomenal time. Even without any touchdowns during the game, it was the most exciting atmosphere I have ever been in. The excitement was not over yet because after the game I had the honor to go back into the locker room and spent more time with the Cowboys players. Even though I was happy on the inside that the Eagles won, I had to act as if I was sad since I was in the losing team’s locker room. At this time I learned what the real meaning of sportsmanship was. The players were still extremely gracious to my family and me.
