Summer Vacation
After graduating high school my friends Kenadee, MaryKaitLyn, Madison, and I had planned a trip to go to Panama City Beach. The only way our parents would allow us to go is if they went with us; Kenadee and Mary’s moms went and promised us it would be like they wasn’t even there, but to save money we all stayed in the same room. We knew it was going to be crowded because a lot of other graduates would there too, Panama is like party central. None of us had ever been to a legit party so we promised ourselves we would do something fun and exciting but nothing completely stupid.
We arrive in Panama and do nothing but lie on the beach all day and work on our tans. We were right about it being crowded and there were all kinds of attractive boys everywhere. Later that evening we walked to Pier Park and got
We head out to go pick up Ty and Sydney at their hotel and then we are off the Harpoon Harrys for the paint party. We arrive at the party exactly on time and are horrified when we get there. It looks like millions of people and a lot of them was older then we were: the guy at the booth said it was only high school graduates not college graduates too. We stand in line forever and finally get close enough so that we can see the stage in hopes that we would get more paint splattered on us. The music blasts on and everyone starts dancing and at first it was fun but then it got even more crowded. People was drinking beer and smoking more than just cigarettes. Girls were going crazy and crowd surfing and guys were being rude and obnoxious. Sydney got kicked in the face by a crowd surfer, and then come to find out they didn’t even have any paint for the “paint party”! We all regrouped finally and decided to leave because it was getting even more crowded. It was an experience I will never forget and I admit I did have fun but will never go to another one again that’s for
My grandparents had set this whole trip up and had originally planned on joining us on this vacation. Sadly, my grandmother got diagnosed with cancer a few months before we were going. She wouldn’t be able to stay with us for a week and risk anything happening. My grandmother gave me one of those I-hope-you-have-a-good-time-but-I-wish-I-was-going-with-you looks. Even though they couldn’t be with us right on the beach, we decided to bring some of it with us! We took plastic bags to the beach one day and put sand and shells in them to take back to my grandparents. Of course, many other souvenirs were bought for them as well, including a can of sun from the Shell Factory which was a really bright idea! I really wish they would’ve come to experience everything my family had done, but we are hoping once she gets better and cancer-free, we are going to go back with
The night was young times were crazy and it was only the beginning of my senior year. It was still warm out and it still felt like summer; we didn’t know that we could have this much fun in one night, but we knew we were going to have fun no matter what. My first concert had to be one of the best nights of my life and one of my most favorite nights of my life during my senior year. It all began when my buddy Alex Kramper decided to give me a phone call and wanted to know if I wanted to go to an Imagine Dragons concert at the Verizon Wireless Amplifier Theater for only twenty bucks, I responded with a hell yeah, the concert was only in a weak. So we figure everything out and and figure that Alex Kramper, Tori Main, Trevor Waller, Kristen Kesler, and me are going to the concert, the next day we meet at Alex’s house to all ride in the concert together in Trevor’s truck, it was a planned booze cruise threw St.Louis. So I woke up early in the morning for the Saturday concert and do my chores early in the morning so I wouldn’t have to do them the next day all hungover. I finally finish all...
-Let us look deep into the bathroom (not that deep you nasty). This was when people did not care about rules or did what it have to do to break a rule (it was awesome trust me). Before I bore you let's recap what happened.
In 2009, my parents and I decided to travel to San Antonio, Texas for vacation. My parents and I have traveled there before, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back. With many places to see and do; my parents thought that we should go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It was at this theme park, where something happened that I would never forget.
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.
There was a huge amount of the finest food around, tons of alcohol was served and of course that was. not a problem at all for there was a transport system for the wasted fellows. I will be there. This was the perfect place for people to show all their finest suites, it was the place where lights and colors gleamed until daylight, when the last guests left the party. It is amazing how people arrive to the party without being invited.
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
On the way to camp Kangaroobie we went to Mr Mcguane’s farm. The year 5 bus broke down so we came late. When we got there, we walked around this little river skipping rocks and getting stuck in the mud. When we arrived at camp, went to our cabins, and I was with, Emily, Felicia, Sarah, Grace and Klara, we packed our bag and went for a walk down to the beach! It was really fun because we went across rivers and walked through the sand dunes! When we got there, we jumped off and slid down the sand
...ew Carnival themed parties. It's always wild. And even with the alcohol thats always flowing, the people are in good spirits. There are no drunk guys fighting, just a lot of singing, clapping, and dancing, people just having a good time. I don't think it would be right to say that its the music that does it - but you don't get that same shared spirit at a rock concert, rap concert, etc. It's just a good feeling, the more you listen, the more you play or participate, the more you get it.
It was nice hearing from both of you. We really enjoyed your holiday newsletter and the article written about you, Adam. Mazel Tov! You both are truly amazing and full of life, energy and passion!
He we go. Just me and myself now. I can write whatever I want and Mrs. Wesbecher can’t read it. To this point I have wrote about a lot of fun things I have done throughout high school, but that was just the PG version. Sophomore year is when things really began to heat up. One day over at Alex’s we found the key to his parents liquor cabinet. We did exactly what 15 year old guys would do, took some sips and wow did we think we were badasses. Looking back opening the cabinet taking a few sips and locking it back up really quick was quite comical. One night during Sophomore year it was Alex, Cal, and I, Alex drank a lot and we started to walk around town (no license yet). We walked around town for a long time with Alex’s sloppy ass. After a while
I took a friend with me to experience it as well. When we first arrived around 7 p.m., which the event started at 6p.m. through 10 p.m., there was hardly any parking. We drove through Paseo first, and then parked at the end of the strip at a gas station called Samir’s Beer, Ice, Bread, and Milk. We both got a kick out of the name. When we started walking down the strip we realized how hungry we were. There were plenty of food joints that all smelled, oh so good. One of the food joints had fire pits outside to eat next to. I told myself that I would definitely have to come back and eat out here.
I agree and think that we should not have that long of a summer when we can just have more breaks but shorter. When summer is that long then what is the point of going back to school because we forget everything anyways during that long break. So I believe we should have a fall break during Thanksgiving, a winter break during Christmas, a summer break that’s not as long, and a spring break.
The entire family got together and it was always a last minute thing but no matter what was going on we all decide we would go up to County Park Lake to have family time. There would be my grandma and my Aunts and Uncles and their kids when we pulled up to the parking lot. Under the shade trees the women would be sitting trying to stay cool and the older men of the family stand around a grill they would be sitting up the charcoal pyramid to lite to start grilling the food while the kids where at the tot lot playing the equipment you could hear the laughter of the kids playing . Also the mean talking about which is the best way to grill. The women would be laughing at the guys arguing over which way was bett...
Holidays are a celebration and an enjoyment of festivities. Although they are a commonality across the world, holidays differ between countries and cultures. But, what many do not realize is that holidays are ultimately ideology driven, that is that the group that celebrates these holidays follows a certain set of ideas and beliefs. Whether the ideology is religion based, or politically based, all holidays are centered around ideologies.
