The night was young times were crazy and it was only the beginning of my senior year. It was still warm out and it still felt like summer; we didn’t know that we could have this much fun in one night, but we knew we were going to have fun no matter what. My first concert had to be one of the best nights of my life and one of my most favorite nights of my life during my senior year. It all began when my buddy Alex Kramper decided to give me a phone call and wanted to know if I wanted to go to an Imagine Dragons concert at the Verizon Wireless Amplifier Theater for only twenty bucks, I responded with a hell yeah, the concert was only in a weak. So we figure everything out and and figure that Alex Kramper, Tori Main, Trevor Waller, Kristen Kesler, and me are going to the concert, the next day we meet at Alex’s house to all ride in the concert together in Trevor’s truck, it was a planned booze cruise threw St.Louis. So I woke up early in the morning for the Saturday concert and do my chores early in the morning so I wouldn’t have to do them the next day all hungover. I finally finish all...
concerts in my lifetime, so I had never had an experience like this. The other band,
On Monday March 25, some members of the baseball team, my girlfriend, and I traveled to Murray State University to watch a concert performed by Nelly and the St. Lunatics. It was a terrible night to go anywhere because it was raining and storming the whole way, but there was nothing that was going to stop us from going to the concert. We where all so hyped up about it and couldn’t wait to head out. My brother, who attends Murray State, had gotten us excellent seats about seventy-five feet away from the stage.
I was in the car with my best friend Hannah with her sitting passenger and I was in the driver’s seat. We were talking and laughing, having a great time without a care in the world. My stereo was on and playing was my favorite CD: Blurryface by Twenty One Pilots. We were on our way to a friend’s house and couldn’t wait to get there. The traffic started to slow us down but we didn’t let that damper our mood.
The mammalian brain contains several different memory systems, which can be divided into declarative and non-declarative memory systems. Declarative memory can be further divided into episodic and semantic memory, and non-declarative memory can be divided into priming, associative learning, and procedural memory.
Memory is the vital tool in learning and thinking . We all use memory in
I walked into the house where the "party of the century" was going to be held. I was psyched to be going. At the time I was a little naive freshman invited to my first official high school party at a senior’s house. I was at the party no more than 30 minutes when this boy offered me a drink. Thinking nothing of it, I agreed. He brought back a half-filled cup.
I remember it as clear as day. It had been a fairly normal week, and a routine average day. It was a Friday and I was driving home from school in my trusty Toyota Tercel. I was getting into the dreaded mental set of the game that I would be playing in that night. I had to play in the band at halftime and it was the first performance of the season. The whole ride to my house I thought about the game and hoped and prayed that we wouldn't make huge fools of ourselves. Before I knew it, I was already home. I remember thinking that it felt like the shortest drive ever, getting to beautiful Rolling Oaks. When I got home, little did I know, that there would be a huge surprise waiting for me that would change my life forever.
The day started off pretty normal, well, besides the fact that we had all stayed in a house with nothing but an old Nintendo system and a couple of lawn chairs. We went to breakfast at Denny's, after which we made our way to Denver, the site of the day's big event. On our way to my cousin's apartment, we drove by the multi million-dollar complex. It had a huge billboard that said "Summer Sanitarium." To my surprise, I kind of got a nervous feeling. Why? I do not know. We proceeded to my cousin's apartment where the entire group conglomerated in preparation of the concert. We had a large group of people that consisted of Carter, Josh, Seth, Sam and his two brothers, Tim, Kim, Eric, my brother me and. While waiting for the right time to arrive at the event, we had the radio turned to a station that was playing Metallica in honor of their presence in Denver.
It was 90 degrees outside and rained 3 times. I was so crammed in the crowd that I never had enough room to sit. Then as it got later in the day it got more and more crammed. There were so many people that at one point during the concert when Lana came down to the crowd, I was standing on a some huge water bottle so I could see better from the second row. When I tried to get off the water bottle but my feet dangled in the air because I was so smashed up against people that they where holding me up.
...kinson and Shriffin model: the parallel- distributed and processing connectionistic. The parallel-distributed processing model states that information is processed simultaneously by several different parts of the memory system. Since the time of the first experiment on grouping, psychologists have consistently found that
Memory is one of the most important aspects of any child 's education, without them being able to recall what they have been taught; there is no teaching or learning occurring. Without warning, the lights went dark. This was the moment I had been waiting for. My adrenaline went through the roof. The time had finally come that I would get to see and hear my first live concert.
There is an event that I just can describe as one of the most unique and memorable in my life: attending my first concert. After years of listening to Ron Pope’s music, watching his YouTube channel, and following all of his social media accounts, the satisfaction of seeing someone whose music has been the soundtrack to my life for so long was unreal. There were moments that I had to internally remind myself that this is, in fact, happening in real life. Being a dedicated (some may say eccentrically so) fan is tough work – and I was rewarded with two hours of pure magic for one night. Attending my first concert was a unique event that I will always remember fondly because of the atmosphere, the amazing performance and the sense of connection
Though, I knew it wouldn’t be the same as a concert, I still intended it to be similar. To my surprise, it was a completely different atmosphere. Overall, I did enjoy it, but there were a few things I disliked. I wasn’t a fan that the majority of the songs performed by Anthony Lovano’s band had no words. I didn’t like this, because that is my favorite part about the concert; getting to sing along with the band. When only two songs had words, I was confused how the band could ever interact with the audience to build their reputation. This being said, that is the second part I disliked; lack of participation with the audience. A member of the band would announce the song being played, with few explaining the meaning behind it and then they’d perform. I disliked this because I always find it more entertaining to interact with the performers. I think it’s exciting when they let you sing part of the song, while they play the music or when they just talk to you about their day in between songs. Again, I have only ever gone to a concert before, so this is all I was able to base it off
