It was a cool, June morning, I had my bags packed and ready to go, and just like that I was on the road to Niagara Falls! We started by getting up at five O'clock in the morning.I remember waking up to the smell of french toast, bacon, and eggs. We packed our bags in the truck, then hit the road!
After about an hour of driving on the bumpy city roads we finally hit the smooth highway to Pennsylvania. Once we got to Pennsylvania ,we ate lunch then headed to the Hershey’s Chocolate Factory. I remember when I walked in those doors to the factory I could smell the sweet cocoa and just hear the laughter of hundreds of kids. We got to watch a short film on how Hershey’s chocolate, came to be and how much money was made. They had a cafe with a forest scenery and a beautiful pond flowing through the trees and plants. We got to eat all the free chocolate we wanted! I loved the sweetness of the chocolate melting in my mouth. It was a delicious stop on the road to Niagara Falls!
Our next stop was the famous Crayola Factory! When we walked in those big, colorful doors you could smell wax and excitement. We got to sit in a room that kind of looked like a theater. In the front of the room was a glass pane ,and behind that glass they were showing us how they make and wrap crayons. The process was really simple but yet interesting. Next, we moved on to the next room. In that room there were giant crayons with holes cut in the sides and in those holes there were different colors of melted wax. We all got a piece of paper and a stick and with that stick we got to dip it in that simmering, hot wax. Using the stick we drizzled the colorful wax all over the rough, thick paper. We had to wait for it to dry and when it did ,was like a 3-...

...headed home. On our way home we stopped by the glass museum. It was amazing it was filled with beautiful glass art pieces. I almost broke some but I avoided that. There was this stand that we went to and it was a guy sculpting melted glass. It was so fascinating how swiftly and fast he did it, he made it look so easy.
Finally, we stopped by the western museum. It was a very interesting stop. It had so many old western paintings, weapons and statues. I got to buy a cowgirl hat that was really cool. We did a scavenger hunt there in the museum and then we left, I had a great time.
Over all I had an amazing trip to Niagara Falls! I got to spend time with my family and we all had fun. I had new experiences that I could now share with others and I’m pretty sure my family does also. This is the trip I will never forget.
Life Lesson: Enjoy the Little Things
It was almost time to leave when we rode our final rides. “Let’s ride the Fahrenheit one more time.” I said. We walked to the line and rode that one last time for the day. I walked to the car with all my friends behind me. We were all so tired as we hopped in the car. It was a great day at Hersheypark. One of our favorite roller coasters didn’t work, but we still had
Out of all the trips I have taken, Cancun was definitely the best. It was 2013 and I was in fifth grade. I had known about the trip for weeks and I was so amped up for the plane ride, for the hotel, and especially the ocean. I was in science and the teacher was getting mad because I was distracting all the kids by jittering all over the place. Finally I heard my name called over the intercom and I leaped for joy and ran out of the classroom. From school we drove to the Iowa Airport, got our tickets and loaded onto the plane. Our first plane took us to Chicago, Illinois where we boarded a plane , at the O’Hare International Airport, departing for Cancun,Mexico. The second plane was very lengthy, I tried to sleep but I didn’t actually fall asleep
Name after the Canada’s largest waterfall, the city of Niagara Falls is one of the most popular tourist attraction cities in North America. Since Niagara Falls was incorporated as a city in 1904, it has continued to grow not only in the tourism industry but also in manufacturing, retail and commercial.
Overall, I really enjoyed driving to LA and visiting the Griffith Observatory. It was so wonderful being about to see a show and feel like I was really traveling through time. I got to learn more about what 's beyond our universe. Seeing everything and listening to what the instructor was talking about our universe, made me think back about your astronomy class. Being able to understand and know what the instructor was talking about, it felt good knowing I 'm learning that in your class.
The next day we had pancakes that the hotel gives for breakfast. That was the best food I have had since the vacation has started. My family and I went to the beach right after that. The water was still cold, so I had to play with the sand. Instead of building a sand castle, I built a set of tunnel and stuff underground. Then, my little brother came and jumped on the tunnels and all of it fell down.
The trip included my mom, my best friend, her mom, and me. My spring break was being spent in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is very different than New York making it an adventure seeing as it was my first time ever going there. Going to a new place or even somewhere you’ve been before means you’re going to see new things and try new things. That was particularly what got me so excited for the trip in the first place.
It was an exciting day for me and I didn’t even know what was going to happen. My grandpa came to my house and then he told my brother Luke and I that he was going to take us on a fishing trip to Canada with his friend. We were so excited when he told us I told Grandpa, “This will be the best summer vacation ever!” After he told us we went and got gear like fishing poles, rain suites and food. When we got to the house the morning we were leaving, he showed us a picture of the cabin we would be staying in for the week. It took us a while to pack the car we all packed some of the same foods.
We went to New Mexico for a week to build a playground. The trip was long and hot but it was worth it. The playground was going to be built at a Manuelito Najavo Childrens Home in Gallup, New Mexico. In the middle of their dorms. We arrived at a cottage and starting unpacking, choosing rooms, and all that. Dinner came, we all took showers and went to bed.
Once we finished our snack we went outside. Then we washed our bikes with the hose. After that we sat down and looked at the sidewalk. It’s across the creek and people go on it all the time. I like to watch people go by. There are bikers, dogs , joggers, and more. We sat and waited and watch the people go by . Finally we grabbed on our bikes and went to the path. It was fun and we went down a hill too. We did this for about an hour. But then got bored!
This 4th of July I went to L.A. with my roommate to visit his family. I had been promising myself that I would go to the Queen Mary in Long Beach for the last three times I was in L.A. and this time I was determined to go. So After I had seen the fireworks at the La Verne high school.
On our way up there we listened to a ton of music, talked about everything under the sun, and laughed about a lot of random things and got to know each other even
Singing the Canadian national anthem and trying to learn the American national anthem. Walking up and down steep hills never knowing what was for breakfast for the next 9 days. But that first morning was my favourite. It was exciting, adventurous and scary.
Niagara Falls, one of the worlds greatest natural wonders, can only be described as breath taking. No matter what time of year, whether it’s the beautiful rainbows glistening in the mist, or the magnificent ice bridge created by the cold of winter, Niagara Falls always seems to amaze it’s viewers.
After we got off the airplane, we rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe?s house. We finally got there and then we all went out to eat dinner. We went to some Italian restraunt and boy was it good. To this day, I have never tasted anything as good as the Veal Picata I had that day. I ate so much that I could hardly move and once I got back to my uncle?s, I just passed out and went to bed. I had a big and exciting day ahead of me. I was going to Universal Studios and I couldn?t wait.
I jumped out of the car with my two sisters and ran to the bathroom. When we left the bathroom, we walked back to the car. We saw that our dad was still putting gas in the car, so we went into the store to buy some sweets. I bought “warheads” that said extremely sour, and a bag of chips called “baked with fire” that looked like they would taste really hot. When we purchased our food, we walked back to the car. As soon as we started driving, I opened my bag of chips. I was so scared that they would be extremely hot. For that reason, I also bought a bottle of water. I opened it before I took a bite out of the chip. Luckily, they were not hot at all! I grabbed my sour candy and tasted it. My face changed so quickly; that I started to squint my eyes and point my lips. I could not take another bite of it because it was really sour! Eventually, I was not hungry anymore. Probably because I ate my whole bag of chips and a sandwich. When I finished eating, I was feeling exhausted, so I took a long nap. I woke up, and dad told me that we only needed to drive for one more hour. While we were driving through town, we saw a row of trees on fire! It was so smoky that we could barely see the street we were driving on. I felt scared for life and terrified that we might crash. After a few more minutes of driving, the smoke cleared up and we could see again. Finally, the hour passed and we arrived in California. Mrs.
