Everyone who exists on this planet is comprised of memories, both positive and negative. Memories can make you smile while you reminisce on joyous occasions, or they can cause you to wallow in great sadness. I personally prefer to dwell on my positive memories, the memories that deliver me into a state of complete euphoria. Out of all the memories I do possess however, the one that brings me the most joy and is my favorite recollection is the time that my family and I went to Walt Disney World in the Spring of 2012. Though we had previously visited the park only a few years prior, nothing can top the second time my family and I ventured to the magical park. I can honestly say that the week we spent together in that wondrous theme park was one of the best weeks of my life. …show more content…
We packed, prepared, and traveled by plane to our destination of sunny Florida. My excitement swelled with each passing hour that we grew closer to Walt Disney World. We soon arrived on the grounds. We stayed in a themed hotel within the park, and it was called Pop Century Resort. Now being the history lover that I am, this hotel was a dream come true because each different building that made up the hotel represented a different decade in time starting with the 1950’s and going to the 1990’s. It was like stepping back in time. The section we stayed in was the 1960’s, and it sure was groovy. The carpet in our room was a psychedelic pattern with bold, wild colors and on top of the nightstands were multi colored lava lamps. I was in heaven, and the vacation was just getting
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
We went back to our room after we finished at Epcot. It had gotten up to ninety degrees outside, and we were exhausted. It was a thrilling experience to see all my favorite places again in Epcot. I can’t wait to come back and relive this experience again. This place is something I will never forget.
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
Disney world is a place designed for uncountable amounts of excitement and making memories. I had an unforgettable experience, because of the beauty of magic Kingdom, the Heart arousing of Bush gardens, and the almost unreal sites of universal. I will never forget the time I had on senior trip, and I hope visit again
When Walt Disney first came up with the idea to create an amusement park it had seemed impossible. To make a place where children and their parents could both have fun and enjoy each others company. So many complications stood in their way with finding a space big enough to build the park and an awful opening day. People never thought it would last. But Walt knew that he had created something great that people now go their to make memories with their families. It 's not nicknamed “ The Happiest Place on Earth” for nothing.
Disney World has always been one of my favorite memories. I always dreaded those 10 hour car trips because it felt like time creeped by like a snail crossing the garden. We always packed our car up so full that it looked like we were moving rather than taking a trip. My mama was always like a travel guide when it came to Disney World. She always knew where bathrooms, cafes, stores, rides, first aid and characters were. She could have been hired as a full time safari guiding tourists through the exotic, wild, and adventurous parts of Disney World.
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
I vividly remember the first time that I was about to go to an amusement park in sixth grade. I was extremely enthusiastic when my school informed me the day before that we were about to go to an amusement
As we arrive to the airport I am so excited, even though it is 4:00 in the morning I have a significant amount of energy. Then it hit me, “I’m going to Disney World.” As the plane lands, I see all the palm trees and the bright sun and I get excited. We got off the plane and picked up our bags and went to the Disney World bus stop. As I got on the bus a video starts to play about everything to do there, and that got me even more excited.
Virginia and Frank Salamone explore the concept of Main Street U.S.A in the Disney theme parks in their article Images of Main Street: Disney World and the American Adventure. In the reading the authors discuss Walt Disney’s idea for Main Street, U.S.A and other sections of Disneyworld like EPCOT (Experimental Prototypical Community of Tomorrow). They discuss how the parks spin American history placing a pretty picture on top of everything. However, for the purpose of this reading response I will be looking outside of the parks and into Celebration, Florida.
It all began when Erica was sitting criss-cross-applesauce around the enormous, beautiful Christmas tree with her family on Christmas morning. She had opened up all of her presents, except for one box, every year her family gave each of their kids a box to open last. They all opened them up, inside was Minnie mouse ears waiting to be plopped on their little heads. A little puzzled, she found out that her family was going to Florida! She also found out that they were going with their cousins!
“Come on, do it!” my aunt exclaimed at me the day before our trip to the amusement park. My family would always take a trip to an amusement park every other summer. I was always scared about going on the roller coasters. So one day before the trip, my aunt wanted to push me and my sister to do something new through a bet. The bet was that I had to chose one ride or the other ride but I had to choose one. My sister chose the one I didn’t choose so we both had to go on separate rides. Then the one day came and my sister, me, my cousin and my aunt drove to the amusement park building up the anticipation each minute in the car.
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
