It all began when Erica was sitting criss-cross-applesauce around the enormous, beautiful Christmas tree with her family on Christmas morning. She had opened up all of her presents, except for one box, every year her family gave each of their kids a box to open last. They all opened them up, inside was Minnie mouse ears waiting to be plopped on their little heads. A little puzzled, she found out that her family was going to Florida! She also found out that they were going with their cousins! Little Erica was so excited to be going to Disney world, but she was fearful to fly on such a massive plane. The miniature peanuts and cranapple juice they give you to snack on, on a plane was all she could manage to think about, she was so petrified to be flying up so high up in the sky, with peanuts and her cranapple juice. She was so scared. As they slowly descend she starts thinking about Florida and Disney world also so happy to be getting off the full-to-the-brim plane. They all got off the plane and went to the rental car place to get their rental car. As they all pile in the …show more content…
As bedtime approaches Erica realized she had forgotten pajamas. She would have to sleep in her clothes and on the couch! Wow, not even the first day in and she has already had something bad happen. But she was very excited to be able to go to Disney the next day so it wasn't awful. At Disney Erica went on the Peter Pan ride, which was her favorite, and just about rode every ride then got a lanyard to put all of her Disney pins on, she was so excited. Erica was so excited to see the most beautiful and amazing firework show she has ever seen in her whole life! But then she had to go back to her hotel without her pajamas and back onto the old couch. But one thing little Erica was excited about was that she got to be in warm Florida while back here in Cold, cold Illinois it was snowing up a
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
One summer morning, I woke up excited. My friends and I were going to Hershey Park. I’ve been busy this summer, so this is the first time I was able to go. Hershey Park is a big amusement park with big roller coasters and a big water park. The Fahrenheit is my favorite ride there. I woke up, took a shower, got dressed, ate breakfast, and waited for them to pick me up at my house. While I sat on my couch, I had my bag with a towel and a bathing suit for the water park and I could put my phone there. I was ready to go.
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
Are you scared of roller coasters? I used to be scared but I end up overcoming my challenge. Only a few years ago I would not ride a roller coaster if my life depend on it. They horrified me. I hated the feeling of weightlessness. The zero gravitational force sent a tingling sensation into every extremity of my body which me excruciatingly uncomfortable. I despised ascending to such towering heights. I worried that the coaster would break, and I would be stuck on a wobbly track, hundreds of feet in the air, waiting for hours to be rescued. Going upside down scared me the most. I feared that I would fall out at the top and plummet to terrain below.
“If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all” -Bambi. But this is also something my mom said as we were getting on the plane about to fly to Disney World. We were so excited since this was the first time my sisters had been on a plane and I barely remember my first plane ride. We waited silently for them to call our numbers to go and board the plane. I could hear the footsteps on the cold metal of the floor as we walked to the plane. I could feel the excitement of everyone on the plane. We walked slowly to our seats and I held back from squealing with excitement. As we sat we got our electronics out and folded the desk out from the seat in front of us. The flight attendants were coming around cheerfully asking if anyone needed anything. Then the engine started and the plane rumbled. It slowly yet steadily moved towards the runway curving every few feet. We finally made it to the runway and the engine started gradually getting louder and louder until we were moving faster and faster and all of a sudden everything got quiet and the cars in the parking lot and the buildings around it got smaller and smaller.
So have you ever been to Disney World? Most of you probably have been there. I didn’t go to Disney World until November of last year with my family. I wasn’t sure what it would be like, but it was incredible. It was a lot of fun, and it was a great experience because I was with my family.
On a chilly, December day, the Peterson family began their day as usual. The day started with the father, Paul, making breakfast while the mother, Lia, packed lunches. They had one daughter, Taylor. She was in ninth grade at Westfield high. This particular morning when they were getting ready for work and school, Taylor excitedly reminded her parents about her upcoming choir concert that night. Taylor had been given a solo and was excited to surprise her parents with it. As they headed out the door, they all gave hugs and said their I love you's. Taylor watched her parents drive away together as she waited for the bus to pick her up.
My palms were sweaty, I was a nervous wreck; should I go or not? Just the thought of people dying at Six Flags gives me the chills. Falling off a ride and slowly coming to your death. Even though I was at Six Flags who would have thought that I would have to make such a tough decision about a ride.
As I stepped down the stairs I noticed my father holding up his phone to capture to take pictures. He looked at us with a big smile on his face The cherished moment was quickly spent due to a tight schedule.
Have you ever ridden a roller coaster that has made you puke? Want to go again? Maybe even hate the ride and never want to go again? Learn a lesson about life? We had just approached the roller coaster that looked like it would make you extremely sick to your stomach, Lagoon Amusement Park has so far had the scariest rides ever, not including the kids section we walked through. Considering I’m from Wyoming where there are no amusement parks, just carnivals that are in town for at most a week. There are no scary rides at all but let me tell you, these were really scary rides standing in front of me. “Would you girls want to go on that ride,” my dad asked my sisters and me.
Carly thought to herself. They took a yellow cab to their new condo. When they finally got there,
I walked in the sweltering summer heat as the Florida breeze hit my face. I walked into the big gates and breathed in the warm summer air, and I looked to my parents and said, “Wow, we are really here.” The smell of the cotton candy and the Mickey Mouse shaped balloons caught my attention when I first walked into the park. It was like a fairy tale story. I saw everything that I imagined as a child.
“Come on, do it!” my aunt exclaimed at me the day before our trip to the amusement park. My family would always take a trip to an amusement park every other summer. I was always scared about going on the roller coasters. So one day before the trip, my aunt wanted to push me and my sister to do something new through a bet. The bet was that I had to chose one ride or the other ride but I had to choose one. My sister chose the one I didn’t choose so we both had to go on separate rides. Then the one day came and my sister, me, my cousin and my aunt drove to the amusement park building up the anticipation each minute in the car.
Ever since I was about six years old, I wanted in the worst way to go to Disneyland. I would hope every year that my parents would chose Disneyland as our next family vacation destination. I dreamt of the day I would come back from Disneyland with exciting tales of adventure and a pair of sparkly, ruby red and black Minnie Mouse ears of my very own that would be the envy of every kid in my elementary class. Once I finally went to Disneyland, it was amazing; Disneyland was everything I had expected and more. However, a couple years later when I returned to Disneyland, it was different. The rides, buildings, and everything in the park did not have the same allure. The magic I had experienced as a child was no longer there.
