The skills that will beneficial in enhancing my ability to be other-oriented are as follows: Feedback: I list this one first because I believe it is one of the most important tools to being able to understand and empathize with the other person. Being able to comprehend and accept their point of view and how it works in conjunction with what the first person originally said. This will be important to me personally because I have a tendency to not listen to other people, so if I could listen more to someone's feedback and try to accept it instead of just throwing it away that would probably help the relationship. Context: The reason I chose this one to be second is because this is almost as important as feedback in the sense that if the context

All in all, having someone there that you can trust, someone that’s there, and someone that you can talk to. Like me, I have those three most important people in my life. I would know what I would do without them. Catherine has been there through everything. Tori knows when I need her. I am someone who is introverted which explains why I scored so high under the intrapersonal learning style. Being an intrapersonal learner is described as someone who studies alone, sets goals, self-manages, and self-reflects. I also scored very high under Interpersonal learning style which is a learning style that involves social interaction and understanding people and their motives, emotions, perspectives, and moods. Although this would not fit in with my introverted self, I am a very observant person; I seek to understand people and their views and feelings which fits with the Feelings aspect in my ISFJ personality. Some of my identifiable strengths as a learner would be my time management, and planning. I am very organized and I plan in advance what needs to be completed day to day. Also, my keen interest in others’ perspectives is a strength that allows me to keep an open mind and respect different point of views. A weakness of mine as a learner is how easily distracted I can become. If I am not entirely invested in an assignment my mind wanders and I slowly begin to lose interest, this is why it is imperative that I place myself in an environment that has limited

I will start by explaining the methods that make it easier for me to know my characters and skills. The first method is self-knowledge (McBride, 2010). Self-knowledge is “knowledge or understanding of one 's own capabilities, character, feelings, or motivations” (Merriam Webster, 2015). I believe the foundational element in achieving my personal and professional success is being knowledgeable about myself. Self-development starts with self-understanding. When the individuals recognize their own personality, social and emotional intelligence, strengths and abilities, it makes easy to improve their performance, address the gaps in their competencies and build around their strengths (Fallon, Begun & Riley, 2013). Self-knowledge is the way that assists me in scrutinizing my behaviors and attitudes and being more recognizable about my strengths and weaknesses traits.

Some of these skills are: being fair, taking responsibility, active listening, sharing decision making, and compromising. You have to be fair and think about each other. When you are having arguments, they should be fair. You should also be an active listener. You want to listen to the other person’s problems and thoughts and be able to help them when they are looking for guidance. Sharing decision making is also important. You should both be able to put your opinions and valid reasons when making decisions with each other. You should also be able to compromise. You need to be able to compromise when you are not in favour of what the other wants to do. These are all skills that you need in order to lead to a healthy relationship.
A significant risk that I took was wearing a shirt to school that read : BLACK LIVES MATTER to school on my 17th birthday. The shirt was a gift from a friend who knew that I was deeply interested in the movement; and wanted to share awareness of the movement. I would talk about the movement in class making people aware of what was not being covered by the news. Informing how biased the media is towards people of color; especially black people. Going to a school in the suburbs was an adjustment to someone who has spent majority of their school career in urban areas. I felt as if the idea of wearing a shirt to express my concern towards issues in my community would be accepted. That was the idea.
I can remember a few years ago I was ecstatic about one simple yet amazing reason and that one reason was that my family and I were about to get a puppy . I was incredibly happy for that one simple reason and yet I felt like the excitement was overwhelming and it would eventually cause my head to inflate and fly away . Having a puppy was great he made the atmosphere around us feel nice and warm almost like a warm hug or a nice cup of hot chocolate . He was great and I can still remember the nice times we had but sadly liked most good things they only last for a small amount of time and there was no exception with / of / to us . It was a semi cloudy day but you could still feel the warmth of the sun it was a perfect blend of warmth and wind
I stood upon 2 separate roads and thought to myself, “which one should I take?” There is the one road that I always took, and then there’s the one that I have never taken before. Of course, due to my curiosity, I took the unfamiliar one without further thought. I kept walking up the road thinking I was going to reach my destination, but after making a couple turns, I ended up in a place I was unfamiliar with. By then, I realized that I was lost.
I will employ emotional intelligence, non-verbal communication cues, good listening as well as constructive conflict communication strategies. The use of these strategies has the potential for a strong positive impact on the relationship.
