I was born in Panvel, India which is a city on the outskirts of Mumbai on the 5th of April 1998. I migrated to the United States in January of 2005. Migrating here was a big deal for family as we saw the United States as a land of opportunity. Later that year I attend my first school in the Upper Darby School District. I attended Highland Park Elementary for first grade, then for second and third grade I was moved to Bywood Elementary, in the same year I was moved then to Walter M. Senkow Elementary School where I finished my fourth and fifth grade year. For middle school I attended Beverly Hills Middle School. I have a passion for graphic art and designing it. I actually picked up this hobby while in 9th grade. I took Introduction
to Graphics elective course where I learned Photoshop, Indesign, and other Adobe products. My passion grew even bigger as I saw how much skill I had acquired. I followed through and expanded till this day I am still learning more. My post graduation plans are to graduate college with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and to become work with one of the many field offered such as working for the FBI, DEA, CIA, or United States Marshalls. I eventually would like to go back to college to earn my masters in Criminal Justice. I have always wanted to be in some type of law enforcement. I always use to role model police officers. Till this day I still have some as friends. The main reason as to why I would like to work in the law enforcement field is to help people and to give back to the community. I participated in our Upper Darby Police Department’s Youth Citizens Police Academy (YCPA). In the YCPA I learned how hard it is to become a police officer and the mentality it requires for me to be a police officer. And how much the job is from it’s stereotype. My research topic was based on my second passion which is technology. I talked about the ever evolving automobile and it’s path to becoming fully or semi autonomous. My thesis was that vehicles by the year 2020 will be capable of safely and autonomously driving humans from point a to point b. I talked about how autonomous cars can save the government and us money. I also talked about other ways how this technology may be applied. But my main point was on the technology behind these magnificent vehicles. Three things I learned about the writing process were that taking notes is essential to detailing and shaping your paper. I learned that doing your works cited before typing your helps you in the long run. I also learned freewriting and brainstorming topics to include not only excites the paper but makes it longer in length. I learned a lot about my topic some things include. Autonomous cars can be applied to many fields such as the military and trucking. They can also help reduce fatal accidents. I also learned that this technology is being applied to vehicles by companies such as Google, Mercedes, and Tesla Motors. One the piece that I am proud of in my portfolio is my Forbes Magazine cover recreation. I did a magnificent job on the designing and the creating process. The piece in my portfolio I wish I could redo is my Bill of Rights booklet. I wish I had the opportunity to use Photoshop to recreate it professionally. My Rwandan Genocide paper show improvement in writing style. I have been expanding to using more words and I have been able to add more detail. One piece that connects to my post high school life is autobiographical sketch from my junior year. It talks about my future career in law enforcement and the type of degree I would like achieve.
I was born in Inglewood, CA son of two immigrant parents. As a young boy, I always knew the importance of education, it was engrained in me by my mother and father. They both grew up in Mexico where they both loved school until their economic hardships forced them to come to the U.S. and work. I was the first generation in my family to go to college and will be the first to pursue a graduate degree.
This was back in November 2007, in India. I was 12 years old. I was enjoying my normal life. But I didn’t know that my life will change surprisingly. One day I came home from the school and my parents made decision of moving to the United States. I was totally amazed at that moment. My parents wanted move so that me and my sister can have a better life, education, and opportunity.
My present interest in art is more graphic/typography based, although I do enjoy all areas of art. I have been designing graphics on my computers from a young age and have work published in national magazines. Not all the graphical work I do is computer based, I enjoy using traditional mediums in a clean graphical way, as I find it more satisfying working on a larger scale and producing something more "real". My current course has helped me "branch out" more; I have experimented in many disciplines successfully producing paintings, pastels and drawings, which I had never really developed fully before.

When i was twelve to fourteen years old i started writing and it was my way of being myself. I wished i could play ball and be a hit with the girls but i cold not play ball and luckily the girls didn’t like me. I went to Roosevelt high school then went to the university of illinois but i got expelled.
I first learned how to drive when I was fifteen years old. I am now twenty-one years old and extremely grateful to have the privilege of driving my own vehicle. My experiences of learning how to drive were quite easy, but challenging at the same time. I first got behind the wheel of my father’s Chevy Silverado pickup truck parked on the curb of our neighborhood, with my father in the passenger side. As I buckled up my seat belt, my palms sweating and my heart racing because I was so nervous yet excited to finally get the chance to learn how to drive. It was time to put the vehicle on D-drive, when I pressed on the gas a little too much so the truck wanted to take off, but my father had yelled, “wait!” and I had slammed on the brakes. “Yikes”
Keeping yourself open to growth throughout life opens opportunities and leadership positions, which you wouldn’t have know about otherwise. I have joined many clubs throughout my first two years at Saint Xavier and loved them all. I have joined marine biology club, ski club, and fishing club. I have also joined the community service program special olympics. For my first action step, I will get involved in more clubs, electives, and community services options. I plan on joining the engineering club and looking at many other options at the club fair, as well as returning to my old clubs too. I’m also going to look for new and interesting electives such at anatomy and finance, to narrow down my major for college As I become a junior next year, I look forward to joining the big buddies program and eventually achieving a leadership role within in it. Next year, I will use my classes to break out of my comfort zone to meet new students and teachers. In doing all of this, I hope to find more friends that I can hang out with, so I’m not with the same group everyday.
For every species there comes a time where we feel like we need interaction with each other, isolation is not something that we as mammals have programed in our brains. We desire love, acceptance and interaction; the kind that brings us all together. We form groups depending on who we are, some can be like humans coming together to bring happiness to each other (Slide 13) or some can be just simply a large group like how penguins flock together (Slide 12) either way we tend to migrate toward each other.
For the first several years of my life, I was just like any other child; I achieved all the typical developmental milestones, cultivated new interests, made friends, and began to familiarize myself with the world around me. By the time I started elementary school, I was already enrolled in theater classes, ballet lessons, and a youth soccer league. It was also during these tender years that I began to develop an interest in learning, beyond that of most other children my age.
I had a very strong interest in what the future held for women in science, because I wanted women to be able to make multiple accomplishments like men did in the science category. Throughout the time of being alive I made a speech about how I wanted women to make a great impact with being in science for the future. I can only image what the future is like now for women, I suspect that women have many more jobs in multiple categories than before. However I do know that some of the friends I had were also making an impact on the world already, changing it and showing how it can be different. An tremendous amount of citizens probably would have disagreed with all the things that women wanted to have changed or do. Honestly I do hope that women
from Vietnam after my older twin sister was born. We lived a very poor and struggling life because we have came here with nothing at all and had to work for it all. When I started school for the first time here. I did not get much opportunities as other students did because my parents could not provide it for me due to lack of money. So I did not do so well in school in the start.
Out of all the quarters this school year, I feel like this quarter has made me progress the most, because I put a lot of effort into reading books and enjoying them, there are many . As expected, I got better and faster at reading but an unexpected change was that I write better compared to last year. One of my major losses was that I was becoming uninterested and bored from too much reading, which explains why my total pages read decreased compared to the other quarters.
I can easily say that the University of Colorado-Boulder is the perfect place that I can see myself achieve success in my architectural engineering career, the place I would call home for the next four years, learning and making friends. Throughout these years I know I will be able to make a difference throughout society and not just be a number or a statistic.
Since I was young I have always had the mindset that everything I plan has to go by the rules or else everything falls apart. Unfortunately, that is not the most ideal mindset to have especially when nothing is guaranteed no matter how much you would like it to be. I was quite used to having a family with a single mother and two brothers and being somewhat like an alpha male. Therefore, it threw me off that during my Junior year in highschool I was contacted by a lady that turned out to be the mother of my half sister, Nicole. I was quite elated that after many years wishing I was not the only girl that I had a sister, but what threw me off is that it was not what I expected. I was not used to surprises that would alter my life forever especially
When I was a boy, I was always happy and was a bright student. I was always eager to learn something new and I always gave my best effort at whatever I did, all the while helping my peers to learn in a fun and creative way. One summer during elementary school, my parents sat me down on my living room couch and delivered the worst news a little boy could hear: my best friend had drowned at a birthday party that I was getting ready to go to. I was different from that point on, seemingly forever. I became unhappy, yet I was still a bright kid, but I lost my ability to self-motivate. My parents tried to help me as best they could, which led to them sheltering me throughout high school. I felt suffocated by their actions, even though they had my best interests in mind.
My inspirations are focus on mostly the graphics designing, although I have chosen to do applied art and design as a A levels subject I would like to discover the graphic designing in more detailed and depth and in future hope to do an idea which would be a applied art and design the graphics.
