Goals may include daily short-term achievements or long-term success; nonetheless, goals continue to keep people striving for what they want to accomplish. I create daily goals along with my ongoing list of long-term goals that keep me motivated for my future. I have held the same goals for nineteen years now, and they revolve around who I wish to become. Goals never disappear; once achieved, a new set of goals emerges. For now, working on my teaching career and becoming a well-rounded adult holds the top priority of my goals. In a broad perspective, my personal goals include finishing school and finding a career, but most importantly, I strive to stay humble, stay focused, and keep growing as an individual. First and foremost, finishing my education at the University of Northern Iowa stands as my next step to achieving my bigger goal. Upon finishing school, I have set other goals such as keeping my grades above eighty-five percent, continuing and expanding my involvement in extracurricular activities, and not missing any opportunities that may arise. After graduation, I plan on finding a job in the education field, which I have dreamed of my entire life. I currently study history education and I hope to find a teaching job anywhere between the middle level and …show more content…
I have made small goals that most people try to achieve, such as raising my grades and trying my hardest in all of my classes, but my biggest ambition revolves around the opportunities that UNI has to offer. The students and organizations make it simple to get involved. In particular, studying abroad has sparked a deep desire. I am working towards studying at a university in Germany, and with the help of UNI, it seems possible. The opportunities are endless at our university, and my greatest regret would be to not take them while I have the
As I reflect on my college life, I wonder about the choices I have made that have led me to where I am today and that will guide me into shaping who I long to become. The things I have had to sacrifice, the support and experiences I have had with family, friends, strangers and work colleagues. I don’t know what I will be doing three months or thirty years from now but I do know that I want to have new experiences. When I graduated from high school, I knew I didn’t want to be that person that moved back to the same town and stayed there for the rest of my life. I even contemplate leaving the United States in my adult life. Who really knows, maybe those cards are still in the deck. For now, I know my immediate goals include focusing on completing my college education the best I can, and moving away from my comfort zone, broadening my horizons and taken risks.
I plan to never stop learning. I feel I have a thrust for knowledge that can never be quenched. I plan to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. Upon completing that degree I plan to share the wealth of knowledge I have attained. I plan to start teaching in or around the Appalachian area. I would like to stay in West Virginia, but for reason unknown I would be prepared to move to western Virginia, eastern Kentucky, or northern North Carolina. I then plan to enroll in graduate school to receive my masters, and then I wish to complete my education with a doctoral degree. I wish that one-day to help inspire the future teachers of America or the world.
I desire to continue my education after graduating from State College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education, possibly majoring in science or history. With a teaching profession, the sky is the limit at what can be achieved. Who knows, I may one day change the life of a little person who grows up just like I did, and discovers that THEY TO CAN HAVE IT ALL! A family and a rewarding career in education.
As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some
Goal setting is key in motivation; goals need to be clear, sharp, and realistic. To make these feel more achievable it is better to break these down into smaller medium-term goals and medium-term goals into short-term goals so that you have a clear connection between what one does every day and their long-term goals.
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. Without these three things, achieving your goals is going to be one of the toughest tasks in the years to come.
...my education at Concord University studying Elementary Education. After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Education, I plan to get a job as a teacher in an elementary school. I believe that there is a need for compassionate and caring teachers in elementary schools. At such a young age, I believe that it is important for elementary students to have positive role models in their lives. I am very interested in pursuing my Masters Degree at some point, but my main goal is to get out into the school system as a teacher.
One of my personal goals is to graduate from both high school and college. I wanna graduate and get my diploma and degree. If I graduate both schools it will help me get a good job and be able to afford the house I want and get my own car and pay my own bills. Another goal is to gain access to a good college if I get into a good college,I can make more money and get a really good job that probably pays a lot. My career is to become a neurologist or a police officer. I would wanna become a neurologist because I really adore babies. If I graduate high school it would make me believe that I can do better in college. It would make me believe that anything is possible like getting my diploma as if it was a piece of
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
So in life there's always going to be little obstacles that you face. Sometimes you are pulled away from your goals that you want to achieve and you are faced with challenges. These challenges can shape and affect your future. All my life I have had one steady goal set for myself and it is to go to college receive stellar education and take care of my family after my career sets off. I will always work hard to achieve my goals no matter how hard the obstacle becomes.
After doing the developmental plan of my personal goal, I felt that this was an eye opener for me. I always have a plan just like a bucket list, but went I started writing out each topic of my personal goals and thought everything out it gave me a clear vision of what my goal really meant to me. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to finish my goal. The strategies that need to be used according to the Walden University vision and mission statement you have to know your mission in becoming a mental health counselor and what how far you are willing to go. Walden University mission and vision (2015), next you have to keep up with class knowing classes you are taking and when do you have to start planning
Comparative to my high school goals, are my university goals. A component of the American dream is going off to college, accordingly I have set immense goals for my further education. Personally, I would like to attend the University of Texas A and M. My ambition is to graduate with a major in
Martin Luther King, Jr once said “Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable...Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.” This inspires me because over the course of my high school career I have set many goals for myself. I have survived writing many goal essays and quite frankly I have accomplished much of what I wanted to. Selfishness is a large motivator when it comes to personal goals. I have always wanted to play varsity field hockey and varsity softball, become the softball varsity captain my senior year, become part of the top of my class, be a member of the National Honor Society, and find myself. My high school career hasn’t been the best four years of my life but I have still managed to set goals for myself and to fulfill them, giving myself a sense of accomplishment. Having this feeling of accomplishment keeps driving me towards my further goals that I will set for myself.
Attending Ohio University and obtaining my masters degree is a major goal and perhaps one of this largest and most challenging goals I want to overcome. I am destined for greatness and Ohio University will certainaly put me on the right path to that destiny. I know Ohio University will expand my knowledge tremendously and challenge me to take new hights Id never thought I would reach! My goals are high because I know I am blessed with the clarity to reach my career goals.
