I don’t really remember much about my writing history. However I still remember bits and pieces here and there. I am now here to tell you about my life in the past and now while coming across a few literary related tories along the way. I will tell you some one my current habits. Also, some of my home stories. And Finally some of my school stories because what would I read if I didn’t go to school? Some of my current habits are the books I read, what I write, and how I need to talk and listen to people everyday. The books that I like to read range from classic fiction novels to books about technology. I often read a comic or two everyday. Sometimes I enjoy reading outside when the weather isn’t to hot. I also read things people say are good and most of the time they are right. I read because it gives me an escape from the everyday hussle and bussle of the world. It takes me to a world where I can meet new people and learn their personalities through the way. Writing isn’t as great as reading to me but it does offer some things reading cannot. I often write when I am going through a stressful time or when I need to express myself deeper than just with words. I like to write fiction more than I like writing reports and factoids. Fiction writing give me a sense of control when I feel …show more content…
Even though I enjoy talking I don’t like to talk to big groups of people because I always fear not being understood or someone being ignorant and not being able to see where I come from. In small groups however I can clearly know who is open minded and who is not. My favorite way to talk is with a friend or with my mom because I know no matter what they will be able to see the point that I see and then tell me where they come from without
My parents have always stressed the importance of reading. Throughout my whole life, they have motivated me to read and they have encouraged me to find books that I find interesting to read. Because of their encouragement, I am an avid reader today. When I was a child, just starting to enjoy reading I liked to read books that were fiction. Some of my favorite books to read as a child are series that I still love today and I think I still have every book in each series stored in my attic. They are The Boxcar Children, Junie B. Jones, and The Magic Tree House.
In conclusion writing helps me communicate with others in different ways. Writing is a remarkable form of communication, because it lets me acknowledge my identity through my living experience. I have learned a lot about myself in the last twelve weeks. I discovered so much about my writing. I learned who I really am once I came out from behind the "Official Style" that I've clung to since junior high. I have to tell you, it was very difficult for me to let go. I felt lost and uncertain. But in the process I found myself, my style, and my voice. I learned to let myself come through in my writing. I have to admit, writing became a lot more fun and interesting.
I read because it brings me pleasure and because I never want to stop learning. Recently I have been reading a lot of multicultural women's literature and Victorian medical textbooks.
It is a way for me to escape from the world of reality, if even only for a moment. It is a method for me to express my sentiments or feelings towards a particular topic, furthermore, it is calming to a certain degree. I prefer to write a narrative essay over a research or persuasive essay. A narrative essay is less demanding for me to compose in light of the fact that I can simply take a seat and begin writing on a blank screen. I don’t need to take notes from an online source, or stress over citing articles composed by others. I can be as creative as I want to be because it’s MY
The advantages that one can get from reading are, being exposed to different writing styles, substance and different perspectives to go about writing. A writer who does not have the time or does not like reading or is for an example like finding a composer who doesn’t listen to music. Writing needs reading such as a composer needs music. I am not, by any means, a Shakespeare, Stephen King, or John Grisham. It would take enormous amounts of time, practice, and effort to be considered a long shot at a Pulitzer Prize. Yet, I intend to progress my writing by setting more achievable goals, building on new ideas, and developing new skills. Also, I will use the advice of instructors and peers, and draw from previous writing experiences to mold this and future writing experiences.

Writing Is My Passion; An Autobiographical Essay Writing is something that I love to do, academic or not. I know that I have both strengths and weaknesses. Nonetheless, even with my love for writing, there are also things that I find to be difficult and frustrating. However, there is nothing that I would love to do more than write and improve on my writing for the rest of my life.
I write because it makes sense. The words flow and it's a way people can express, themselves or maybe entertain, or write books for the readers. In many ways, some people express themselves in a funny entertaining way such as poetry, which can show many emotions at once. Life would be boring without writing. Writing is necessary.
While reading Chapter 3, a passage that spoke to me was the portion on creating a voice to match your purpose, audience, and genre. I have issues with this. Due in part to the way I picture my words when I write or type them. I tend to try to speak to people the same way I would in person. While I see nothing wrong with this, it makes it hard for me to write about certain topics. I could write all day about how to train a dog or the steps to giving a tattoo, but would have issues writing about my views on a passage from an Edgar Allen Poe book or what my thoughts are on the educational system in America. My thoughts and views come out in a slang type style and most likely not educated at all. This does not make me incompetent or say that
I don’t consider myself a very good writer. I write when I am made to or when I have something that I need to say that I can’t just tell someone. I keep a diary. Usually my diary is just a record of what I have done that day. It’s not so much about my feelings. I don’t really like talking about my feelings, usually because most of the time I am confused about what exactly I am feeling. I tend to keep the feelings that I do have to myself, to protect myself from getting hurt.
