With this said, I must learn and develop the professional skills required in order to achieve the strategic goals of CIBCFCIB. Most importantly, I exhibits effective personal skills highlighted in my personal SWOT Analysis such as excellent time management skills, leadership skills, committed to work and persistence and focus to achieve my goal that will allow me to come up the learning curve as quickly as possible to be an effective strategic manager. In addition, the SWOT Analysis allows me to identify my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The intention is to help me in developing my career path where I take the maximum opportunity to talents and abilities. My Personal Development Plan is another advantage that will cement my opportunity to improve my communication skills, leadership skills and change management skills. I am currently completing my diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership as a direction to the Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Being in this master’s program has allowed me to apply Strategic Planning, and Change Management principles in staff meeting whereby I was able to identify gaps in processes and suggested several process improvements to increase customer service and improve efficiency. These process improvements are aligned to the strategic goals of the organisation. On the other hand, not only does achieving my Master’s Degree permits me to be more marketable simply I can associate my advance learning skill tier of business terms such change management models to Directors and heads of management presentations at general staff meetings. I am enthusiastic to lead and manage a team being that I am well learnt and are capable to apply my own learning which is evident in proposing changes management models suggestion, process improvements and effective participation in staff meetings. Furthermore, through the planning process and identifying my key performance indicators, I am improving my interpersonal relationship skills to achieve the organisation goals. Personal Professional Development Plan Goal One: Develop skills that will help me as an educator improve the social interaction of students on the autism spectrum. This goal is in accordance with Standard 1.6.1 of the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers (NSW Institute of Teachers, 2012). Within this goal, I aim to become more understanding of the characteristic behaviors of students with autism and implement management strategies that create better relationships between the student and the school community. Performance Management is a critical component to organizational success. However, creating, developing, and maintaining a system that captures all the characteristics of an ideal performance management system should involve an ongoing collaboration between leadership and employees to achieve a successful outcome. After all, the performance and success of the organization is dependent upon the employees. Therefore, performance management should incorporate organizational goals, employee goals, and continuous feedback that reflect individual’s contribution (NorthCoast 99, 2012).
After meeting with the president and listening to the issues and concerns regarding, Jack I would highly recommend for a personal improvement plan (PIP) to be developed. I would suggest for the president to have a one-on-one meeting with Jack regarding the negative feedback he has received from the staff. Jack should be fully aware of the expectations that are being sought as a result of this improvement plan. When laying out the areas of improvement, the first concern would be the negative attitude he has toward his staff. Next, would be to address the several complaints on company surveys from his department as well as outside of his department. These situations take time so I would recommend a 90-day plan with a follow up with the employees immediately after the plan has exhausted. The purpose of the PIP would be to improve employee morale, create a healthier work environment, and assure that the employees are receiving adequate support and resources needed to perform productively. Training supports and makes possible the development of new skills and knowledge. Offering training for employees at various levels within an organization assist employees develop the necessary skills and proficiency to be successful in their careers as well as prepare for new responsibilities.
