My personality profile is ISFJ. These letters stand for introvert, sensation, feeling, and judging. There are many assets within the ISFJ personality type. Including, their value for kindness and security. They typically put others needs before their own which can be a weakness. There are many career options for ISFJs, or The Nurtures, because of their sensing abilities. Some of the careers may include social work, counseling, and interior design. Personal growth can be a task for ISFJs because of their lack of external views. Therefore, there are many solutions for ISFJs to partake in, such as, being open to new perspectives. Personality Profile First Preference (Introversion or Extroversion) The I in ISFJ stands for introvert. As a child, I was quite shy and it was hard for me to open-up to new people. In the same way, introverts tend to direct their energy inwards towards new ideas and concepts (Personality Pages, n.d.). Conversely, extroverts like their work space to be action-oriented and prefer to be around others. (Personality Pages, n.d.) As for an introvert, they care about their own space in the work place and prefer the area to be quiet. (Personality Pages, n.d.) Unlike being an introvert, I work in a department store, which is very task and people oriented. …show more content…
For ISFJs to perceive new ideas, they must recognize that their worldview is not threatened by new information. This will help them realize the benefit of other people’s views. Furthermore, an ISFJ who attempts to experience and appreciate the feelings of others for the sake of understanding the world around them, rather than briskly deciding how they and they alone feel, will have a comprehensible understanding of how society is not solely dependent on structure and correct behavior, but also the value of humans (Personality Pages, n.d.). For myself, I need to work on being open to new ideas and not shutting people
According to Carl Jung, everyone has some degree of both introversion and extraversion, but people often tend to lean one way or another (Cherry,2012). People who are introverted tend to focus on the inner world, ideas, concepts, and be reflective. I have a moderate preference for Introversion because when I am at home, school or around unfamiliar people, I tend to be shy, reserved, and will always think twice before saying something. It is only a moderate preference because when I am at work, I am forced to be an extrovert and step outside my comfort zone. It is very important to keep in mind that in most real-life situations, we are not dealing with
INFJ (Introvert, Intuition, Feelings, Judgment) personality style, a person with this combination of letters will provide a basis for easy determination such an individual being an introvert (I) who relies on intuition (N), feelings (F) and makes judgments (J). Such an individual is an introvert who uses intuition, feelings and has his life oriented in an orderly manner. This kind of personality type is not common, only 1% of the population have it. These kind of individuals who possess this personality combination have an inborn sense of idealism and morality despite this the can remarkably leave a mark on the world. The judging aspect is their great personality trait as it is the main reason they are set apart. They make serious steps towards reaching and realizing their goals, which makes lasing positive impact. An individual with INFJ can be quiet spoken, work and fight tireless for an idea, use love and compassion in their
ISFJs have exceptional disciplined capabilities. As an ISJF I am an introvert with a feeling characteristic. ISJFs like me typically have strong people abilities and tend to form strong social associations. We are the judging type unfortunately but are habitually open to new ideas and changes. With ISFJ personality type, we are much more than the summation the components that make us. We use our strengths to define who we are. ISFJs have been described as “true altruists who meet kindness with kindness-in-excess, and engage in the work and people, while being enthusiasts and people of great kindness” (16personalities, 2015). It is pretty common for the ISJF person to
I suppose many of us would stumble on the question. In fact, it is really very difficult to define Personality in the real sense. Day and night, we see people all around us. We meet them; we talk to them; we discuss with them and share our feelings with many of them. But in spite of all these we sometimes fail to judge the personality of the person right in front of us.
My results said that I have an ISFJ personality. My scores were introvert (56%), Sensing (31%), Feeling (16%), and Judging (44%). The assessment stated that ISFJs frequently find themselves in occupations that either involves a lot of dealings with other people and require thoroughness and persistence. They work in organizations of various sizes and industries, where as a rule they work with people. Very often ISFJs recognize their potential in healthcare (nurse, patient care, and medical services, as well as administrative jobs) and several community care organizations. I do agree with some of the Jung Typology Seal assessments. I agree with being an introvert since I am a person that is reserved and to myself half of the time, but, on the other hand, I do like to serve others. I do not agree that I am overworked. If I get to the point to where I feel overworked, I will go to my boss and discuss the matter, so that I can get help with my work before resulting in some of extent psychosomatic illnesses. I agree with the part about working best with a small group or one-on-one situation. I also agree with the traditional careers for ISFJs attitude that include: teaching, social work, most religious work, nursing, clerical and secretarial work of any kind, and some
This paper researches the typical traits of the INTJ personality type according to the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator. Additionally, I will be discussing the opposite personality of INTJ, type ESFP. I will detail two past experiences where my INTJ personality posed problems. This paper will also explore strategies that may benefit the INTJ personality type, myself included.
After taking the online personality test I learned that I am an INTJ personality. Consequently, this was not a big surprise for me because I had already taken a similar test in my psychology class and ended up with the same result. I did not learn how accurate the test was the first time since I did not do further analysis on the exact meaning of my personality type. The 16 personality type’s website de...
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. This assessment is consistent with the results that I received in part I of the exercise. I am an extroverted person who enjoys being around and working with people.
In terms of my personality result, INFJ, I agree with many of the traits that are unique to this personality type. Comments such as being an introverted extrovert made me realize how dead on my Myers-Briggs personality result was. I have always been an introvert my entire life and have cared for the feelings of others. Seeing how certain traits seemed to shine through in my Myers-Briggs personality description added a great deal of credibility to the test. I have always been called a perfectionist and overachiever, but never knew how those traits correlated to me being exhausted in certain situations. My personality result was able to show how my drive to improve was also a reason why I am constantly frustrated in times of difficulty. My personality result will be a major tool in achieving success in
How can I say “this means that in business and school I am....?” I behave so because I'm INFJ? Seriously? No. Nothing like that. In business and school I am who I am because of millions of reasons related to me and my life. Same as you. We are not INFJ, INFP, ESTP and so on. We are who we are: a little clear and a lot of questions. The labels that сome from many sources such as astrology, religion, ethnic group, nationality, psychological tests, etc. may work for us better or worse depending on other conditions,
Personality takes many shapes and forms and is affected by many factors. My understanding of personality is simply a genetic and environmentally determined set of psychological traits that influence our reactions in the world around us. Genetic because our parents possess a certain set of psychological personality traits that we tend to have in common with them so therefore in my opinion there are heritable personality traits. Personality is environmental because we each have our own separate experiences in the world and these experiences help form our unique personality. Neo-Freudians such as Jung have given us a wide array of ideas of how they believe personality is developed and formatted. Jung in particular has a very interesting
On the Myers-Briggs personality inventory, my type is ISTJ. According to various Internet sources, good career choices for me include Computer Programming, Engineering, Health Careers, Proofreading, Efficiency Expert, and Accounting.

I am an ISTJ with unique personality strengths and weaknesses. My strengthens are being hardworking, productive, efficient, and driven (Kroeger, Thuesen, & Rutledge, 2002, p. 306). In opposition, being compulsive, inexpressive, and driven by routines are my weaknesses (Kroeger et al, 2002, pp. 308-309). The Prentice Hall Self-Assessment increased awareness of more personality strengths and weaknesses for my consideration.
The definition of personality is the development of the organized pattern of behaviors and attitudes that makes a person distinctive. A personality is what make the people of our society different from everyone else. Every person on this earth has their very own personality. In some cases there may be things a like, but the personality trait combinations are not always the same. My personality consists of these three traits: hard-working, determined, and friendly.
