This research looks at the different types of personalities. I believe having knowledge of what personality type that I have is very important to be successful in life, whether it be for professional or personal reasons. Understanding my personality type and the strengths and weaknesses that come along with it will help me understand who I am at a much more personal level. Throughout the research I am required to take personality tests that will grade what type of personality that I am. Once these exams have been completed we are to go much further in research of the personality type that we have been graded at. The result of this research I am more aware of my personality type, “(ISTJ) I am an Introvert (34%) Sensing (12%) Thinking …show more content…
2009, Pg. 105) ISTJ As required in this research I completed the Meyers-Briggs personality test. The result of that test was my personality type which is (ISTJ) Introvert, Sensing, Thinking and Judging. I found the results of this test to be fascinating as these results without a fault explained the person who I am. So what is a ISTJ personality type? “ISTJs are often called inspectors. They have a keen sense of right and wrong, especially in their area of interest and/or responsibility. They are noted for devotion to duty. Punctuality is a watchword of the ISTJ. The secretary, clerk, or business(wo)man by whom others set their clocks is likely to be an ISTJ.” (www.humanmetrics.com) In the next couple of pages I will go a little deeper into each part of my personality to gain a better understanding of who I am, and how my personality can and will affect my personal and professional life Introvert I find this result to be one of the most accurate when it comes to who I am and

From the above test I undertook, it is evident that I incline more to being an extrovert than an introvert. Even though I strongly disagree with the fact that my emotional intelligence is low, as per the results, I think the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test was unbiased and precise. This can be proven from my personality class, which is EFNJ.

For this project; I will be discussing the findings of my personality type. According to “Jung’s Personality Test”, I am an ENTJ. Various sources point to this type as;” The Executive.” The research I have done has brought tremendous insight into; who I am as a person, the functions of my thinking process and how to utilize my strengths to be more of an efficient/successful person. I also learned about the various careers the best suit my personality type which; helps me when It comes to job seeking after graduation. It is very important to know yourself and see how you can maximize on your God given potential. For that reason, I am very glad I took the personality test and studied this subject manner. I would advise everybody to do the same,
The Myers and Briggs personality test is unlike many of the personality tests you will find randomly online because it was designed to examine the ways in which you focus on the world and make everyday decisions. After taking this test myself I have found out a few things about myself that I did not really notice before. According to the Myers-Briggs test my personality type is INFP, which stands for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, and Perceiving. At the start of this test I had no idea that I was considered an introvert because as far as I can remember I have always loved being around people and never really thought about things before acting, which is the exact personality of an extrovert. The end of this personality test has a section that describes the different traits of those under that category and as for what it says about me I do feel that it matches some of my traits to a tee, but at the same time I feel like there are a few traits that are a bit off. After taking this personality test I could not decide if I felt that my results were accurate about me or not. The personality test resulted in describing me as an extravert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (Humanmetrics,
However, first and most important to identify and study my own personal preferences. Kroeger (2002) said “the whole process starts with understanding yourself” (Kroeger, 2002). He then goes on to describe INTJs as self confident, balanced, intelligent, independent, and competent (Kroeger, 2002). Typology has helped me to recognize the strengths of my personality but also the weaknesses. INTJs can lack in interpersonal skills, communication, asking for help, and teaching. They can sometimes come off as controlling and arrogant. For example, we recently put in new machinery at work which required each of us to have additional training. As a INTJ, I welcomed the change and quickly adapted the new technology. However, it was hard for me to be sensitive to the needs of other coworkers who did not understand the new technology and training and needed more time to
Our personality traits are unique indicators to determine how people perceive the world and make decisions. The test consist of a series of questions that measures an individual’s temperament and personality traits. After taking the test, my four letter type is ESTJ and my two letter temperament is SJ. According to Jung’s and Briggs Myers theories of personality types, ESTJ stands for Extravert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging; meaning extraverted thinking with introverted sensing. David Keirsey associated the different temperament types with the different personality types. ESTJ falls under the SJ group, “The Guardians”. The Guardians main objective is known as seeking security. Although, I don’t think the test is a good measurement of one’s personality traits, because there are many factors that could influence an individual response to the test. It is possible that people conform their thoughts to make themselves feel
Personality is defined as a combination of characteristics or qualities that make up an individual’s character. There are tests that can help one decode their personality and understand their quality of what it means to be a person. The Myers-Brigg Type Indicator and the Big Five or Five Factor Model ate such tools. The Myers-Brigg Type Indicator is a psychological self-assessment which provides some insight to the takers personality. Although it can be a tool used for career planning and leadership development, the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator is better classified as a personality test that depending on the results of the assessment can help one with their decision making skills, build stronger relationships, and

Honestly, this was one of the most difficult questions I have ever had to answer. I repeated the personality test couple times. Most of my answers had to be 2 and ½ instead of a whole number, which I wasn’t capable of jotting down next to each question. Anyways, I pushed myself so hard to finish it, as this is something that I had to do to help explore and dig deeper in the hidden inner world of myself.
was amazing to me that in just a few questions, the analysis painted a pretty accurate picture of
