Throughout my life I believe my most meaningful achievements have been the achievements that have sculpted me and progressed me towards my future goals and dreams. This fall I will be attending the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University as a Civil Engineering student so that I can pursue my future goals and be crafted into a young man who can help others pursue theirs goals also.
Early in childhood I would watch in amazement as my father fixed almost everything he put his hands on. The process of how things were built and how apparatuses connected so that other parts can work amazed me. I was always the child on road trips that would prefer the window seat so that I can gaze up in amazement at the construction of tall skyscrapers

When I first started working at Chick-fil-A at 16 I had a desire to be the best I can be so I could become a trainer, This achievement was so incredible because as a result of my desire for greatness I became the youngest trainer my boss has ever promoted. As a trainer I have to maintain the standards of Chick-fil-A by training new team members many who are older than me. It showed the complete belief my boss ¬¬¬¬¬¬had in me to keep up the standards at his restaurant because he knew my skill and work ethic is way above the average work ethic of a teen my age. This is essential to my future goal because out of college as an engineer I will be in the same predicament I was in as a 16 year old at Chick-fil-A. Even though I may be younger than all the others fighting for the position my achievement gives me confidence that work ethic is a major key to becoming a member of a team and eventually a leader. This is also essential because I have a responsibility of being a leader in an organization just like I will have responsibility in running my own engineering …show more content…
This is one of the most meaningful achievements because it engulfed my mind in the world of engineering. Out of my city which is home to more than 90,000 people, 20 high school students were selected for this program and I was one out of 20. The classes were very rigorous and many classmates challenged you to improve and it was worth it. From 9th-12th grade I learned about the principles of all types of engineering and even applied those principles through projects and buildings through CAD programs. This achievement is most helpful to my future goal because going into college I will already have experience in using the software, engineers use on a daily basis. As a student seeking an internship having experience at a young age is very essential because employers are looking for people who can do the job well and having experience is easier taught than no
My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’
One of my proudest accomplishments in life was earning my college degree,
Success Everyone’s vision of success differs. Wealth, happiness, and fame are all the stereotypical aspirations of the common person’s so-called “American Dream.” My American dream encompasses more of the first two aspects than anything else. Happiness is the most important; without happiness, wealth and fame are useless. Without happiness, success cannot exist; it is your own personal gauge of accomplishment.
On stage, I anticipated third place, but was once again stunned when I placed second. This whole experience was life changing. Working for the National FFA Convention, I developed a work ethic to stick to something, and to do my best, even if it seems impossible. I also gained communication skills, and the ability to work outside my comfort zone. Even now it is hard for me to interact with others, but this accomplishment taught me that I can do hard things and I can communicate effectively. I learned how to perform research and express my findings. This experience was also very valuable for it directed me to my career path. It opened up doors as to my abilities, and gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams without fear. It taught me that failures happen, but enduring effort will turn failure into success. In my interviews, I learned that complete honesty is far better than false cover-ups. I became the person I am now because I was blessed with the experience. This project for some may be seen as a great award, but for me it's an invaluable occurrence which had more life skills and experience than a piece of paper can ever
Many of my goals have been met through my hard work and dedication through my mother's constant pressure to do well in school. To give a clear example of what I mean, there was the time that I got Principal's Honor Roll. In order to get Principal’s Honor Roll I had to work very hard and maintain a G.P.A of 4.0 or above with no U’s or fails. Many times, I had to sacrifice going to parties, hanging out with friends to do my homework just to study for a test. Many times, I had to stay up very late to finish an assignment or study. My hard work allowed me to meet my goal of getting Honor Roll. If I didn’t work hard and dedicated myself into pursuing to get Principal’s Honor Roll I would have probably never got it. This has impacted me in a very positive way because I know that in order to obtain what I want I have to work hard, dedicate myself, and commit myself to that goal. My grades are another great example of my hard work and dedication. If I didn’t work hard to obtain all A’s , I would have probably never have got a 4.0 G.P.A. in my report card and would not get the Principal’s Honor Roll award. My dedication to succeed in life has made me into the person that I am
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
A determination that helped me, through school classes, establish the field of study I wanted to pursue in life (engineering) and that transformed me from the bare minimum student to the honors student in order to make my newly found dream a reality. By junior year my conviction paid off and I was able to join my schools Science National Honors Society. In which I became a leader for my peers by tutoring those who sought help in science and math related courses. This opened numerous opportunities in my life to pursue, the main being EIS. With the help of the SNHS club teacher it allowed me to join the Executive Internship Society at Grandview high school.
I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. No one can achieve success without doing hard work. It starts when we stop looking for alternatives or shortcuts towards success. We need to remember that there are no short cuts to success. Hard work, complimented with an intense desire to struggle and to achieve success is the only sure way of reaching success that you have always wanted. Hard work is one of the secret for us to be successful in life. Laziness and sluggishness makes one’s life a curse and only hard work can make your life a blessing. We cannot work hard if we don’t have goals. The meaning of goal according to Wikipedia is a desired result of a
During my life I had some accomplishments. But, I will tell you the truth I cannot call them as my great accomplishments. At this point of my life I had the two greatest events. My first event was my high school graduation. The second event, which was the biggest and the most unforgettable was my wedding day.
come to one 's mind. All I thought as a little girl was what to play with next. Of course school
How does one write a personal essay? I’ve spent many-a-days struggling with the process of coming up with one. It’s stiflingly difficult to decide on the voice and the theme one wishes to display so as to intrigue the imagined reader. Well, that’s probably because the purpose of a personal essay is to make oneself appealing to the reciprocating party.
My educational journey has been like a roller coaster. I have been in the worst spot of my life time. Where I hate going to school but, also think about my father education. My career goal is one of my most important in my life to better myself than I am today tomorrow I will better than yesterdays.
Hi, my name is Rob Geis and I am currently in grade 12. I have been at County High School for a year now; I joined at the start of 11th grade, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The school is great, the people are fantastic and the atmosphere is one that makes you actually want to go to school. Before I joined ASB I was studying at the Singapore American School for two years and prior to that I was at the International School of Kuala Lumpur for two years. I was born and raised here in Bombay city and grew up here.
The philosophical problem of personal identity pertains to questions that arise about ourselves by virtue of our being persons. There is no single question that will sum up the problem, but rather a multitude of questions that are loosely connected to each other. Within this essay, the four most prominent problems will be explained and addressed. One of the most familiar is the question of “Who am I?” This regards to what makes one a unique individual. Another familiar question is, “What is it to be a person?” This concerns the necessary criteria for something to count as a person as opposed to a non-person. There is also the problem of persistence, relating to personal identity over time. An example of this would be to glance upon an old photograph of a childhood class, point and say, “That's me.” The questions arises of, “What makes you that one instead of one of the others?” The last problem to be explained is the one of evidence. How do we find out who is who? There are two separate sources of evidence used often in philosophy: first-person memory, pertaining to one remembering an action or event and therefore being the person who did such, and physical continuity, where if the one who performed the action or witnessed the event looks like you, then it is you.
Well, as I began to get older I started to achieve more and more. When was 8 I started washing dish. That was a great achievement to me back then, but now I regret it. Now my mother makes me wash dish all the time. When I go to other people house they want me to wash their dishes. Now I hate washing dish. After learning how to wash
