ABSTRACT
The terminology ‘person-centeredness’ is being used world widely in context of health sector and it reflects a quality of care in which the patient/ client is at core of nursing care. This paper deals with person- centered care which is principle one of practice development. The aim of this paper is to explore theory related to person centeredness and how it can be applied into clinical practice. It begins with description of person centeredness concept and theory, after which differentiation of person-centeredness and patient centeredness, and lastly implication of it in clinical setting by using CIP (collaboration, inclusive, and participatory) principle within health care team.

Introduction
In the context of health sector, different approaches are being adopted for promotion of quality health care delivery of nation. One of the best approaches is practice development which is popular particularly in UK and Australia (McCormack, 2003). Although practice development is applied commonly in globe, its concept was nebulous and lacks consistency and clarity. It means that nurses, who are adopting practice development, are facing problems to make their performance. It is argued by McCormack et al. (2001) that it is hard to distinguish practice development work and other initiative work for promotion of changes in health care systems. It is enabled by facilitators who authentically engage with individuals and teams to blend personal qualities and creative imagination with practice skills and practice wisdom.
