Workplace bullying is a pattern of behaviour intended to intimidate, offend, degrade or humiliate a particular person. It can include physical abuse or the threat of abuse, bullying usually causes psychological rather than physical harm. The respondents are being bullied by their employers but these helped them to strive harder to achieve their goals. Although job challenges can be hard to deal with, overcoming those issues can help an employee become stronger and more confident.
People can learn to stand up for themselves or change a situation when someone or something at work has caused stress or unhappiness. Nonetheless, the researchers would also like recommend to those who want to conduct this study in order to have a wider knowledge of the gay and lesbian community and also to grasp their perception on workplace discrimination experiences.
Regarding the limited understanding of discriminated gay and lesbian employees, this research has revealed the perception of employees through citing their experiences. It is recommended for future researchers to consider the increasing number of gays and lesbians and to pay attention to the sexual prejudices as focus of their study. For law and policy-makers, the researchers recommend to increase equality by promoting policies regarding anti-workplace discriminations of gays and lesbians.

A social problem, according to Thomas Sullivan (2012), is “when an influential group defines it as threating its values, when the condition affects a large number of people, and when it can be remedied by collective action”. Homophobia is indeed a social problem because negative stereotypes are prohibiting gay males and lesbians from living an equal, free life like their heterosexual counterparts. Whether the homophobic acts are minor or major, all homosexuals are discriminated, ostracized, beaten, or murdered every day. Further discussion of how homophobic stereotypes affect homosexuals, who is considered to be homophobic, and potential solutions to stop homophobia will be described below through peer reviewed literature.
Lesbian, gay, transgendered, bi-sexual and those who question their sexuality are discriminated against and in turn, have higher rates of depression. Discrimination in the workplace and in everyday life can be taxing which causes depression to be more prevalent in today's society. In turn, people apart of the LGBTQ community seek therapies, medications and places where they can be heard to ease this burden. Throughout this essay I am hoping to try to find ways for our community to actively prevent this discrimination from continuing. Systematic discrimination in the workplace takes many forms, whether direct or indirect.
