The respondents have managed to ignore the negativity and they have been able to finally see their worth. Gender inequality is present through stereotyping in the workplace, that is why gay and lesbian should be more mature in understanding the negative people around them. Instead of putting themselves into misery because of what they hear, they should have in their mind that good things will happen to help their skills and abilities to excel.

As affirmed by the respondents:
“I advice you to ignore people who are trying to pull you down and instead make an effort to prove them wrong. Be the best employee. In that way way they will see your worth, and you will become an asset of the company. If you get fired, it’s their loss, not yours.” (Teresa Villar)

“Personality-wise, I am afraid but if by chance that would not do the same thing, just do nothing, just shove it off and just keep it inside.” (Christian Tan)

Workplace bullying is a pattern of behaviour intended to intimidate, offend, degrade or humiliate a particular person. It can include physical abuse or the threat of abuse, bullying usually causes psychological rather than physical harm. The respondents are being bullied by their employers but these helped them to strive harder to achieve their goals. Although job challenges can be hard to deal with, overcoming those issues can help an employee become stronger and more confident.

People can learn to stand up for themselves or change a situation when someone or something at work has caused stress or unhappiness. A job challenge may get worse over time and usually doesn’t go away on its own. ...s will now have a better chance in having a better potential and higher performance in the industry they are in and as well as in the society. Nonetheless, the researchers would also like recommend to those who want to conduct this study in order to have a wider knowledge of the gay and lesbian community and also to grasp their perception on workplace discrimination experiences.

Regarding the limited understanding of discriminated gay and lesbian employees, this research has revealed the perception of employees through citing their experiences. It is recommended for future researchers to consider the increasing number of gays and lesbians and to pay attention to the sexual prejudices as focus of their study. For law and policy-makers, the researchers recommend to increase equality by promoting policies regarding anti-workplace discriminations of gays and lesbians.
