Animals are a part of our lives. People all around the world have pets, why not allow them to keep exotic animals for pets? People want to keep these pets for different reasons such as an allergy to fur or feathers or to rehome an abused animals. People should be allowed to keep exotic animals for pets. People should be allowed to have exotic animals as pets because they could be allergic to something on the other pets like fur or feathers. Nobody should go without having an animal if they want one. There are animals that don’t have fur or feathers but some of them are exotic. According to the List of Exotic Pets take the “African Clawed Frog” for instance, they have no fur or feathers, and are completely safe to own. Also some people want to save animals that are being abused and that’s another reason why they should be allowed to keep them in their homes. What if the animals natural habitat can’t sustain them anymore? Then they are stuck without a home. Exotic animals are cute and playful when born, and even when they grow up. Though, animal instincts are animal instincts, and wild animals are never completely predictable. Given these facts I do not believe exotic animals should be kept as pets. Wild animals were born to be kept in the wild. To keep them in a backyard or cage is cruel.
It is said that in order to protect the wildlife, we need to be educated about the wildlife that inhabits our planet. As humans, and the superior species on Earth, we put exotic animals, aquatic and terrestrial, in zoos or aquariums where people can go to see them to learn more about them in order to protect them. It just so happens that by putting these animals into captivity, we are causing more damage to them, just as damage is occurring in the wild and more species are becoming extinct. Animals should not be held in captivity; it does not save them from going extinct, but helps kill them off.
Not all exotic animals are dangerous and for that reason certain exotic animals should be legalized. Keeping exotic animals as pets could help bring some of the endangered exotic species up. There should be a special transport for exotic animals that keeps them safe and secured.

The person who released dozens of wild animals like lions, tigers, bears, and other wild creatures into the public. So the question still remains of weather private ownership of exotic animals should be legal and the simple answer is yes, private ownership of exotic animals should be legal. The actions of someone like Terry Thompson shouldn’t decide if owning exotic animals should be legal.

Having exotic animals as pets is immoral and dangerous. They endanger the community, become sick, and their owners abandon them. Each State in the USA has a different law against exotic animals; multiple allow exotic pets, some allow restriction, and few do not permit exotic pets. Even if keeping an exotic animal is illegal, some one will go against the law to have what he or she wants. You may think ‘i can take good care of an animal. Despite other opinions I believe that the rich should not be allowed to own these exotic wild creatures; animals deserve to be free just as man does. The first discussion on hand when talking about why exotic pets should be illegal is that they are unsafe for the human to be around. As I do agree that people should be safe, I also am looking out more for the animal than the person. It was the person's choice to buy the exotic animal knowing the consequences that may be at hand. For instance a cheetah is suppose to be running at speeds of sixty miles per hour in a vast amount of land killing bulky gazelles.
