In the U.S history, women have been treated unfairly for a fairly long time. Even though, people try to attach great importance to women, unfairness still exists. After looking at gender pay gap between men and women, I find both good side and bad side. To begin with, women can obtain advantages. By observing the gender pay gap, they can find out some jobs which have the highest gap. It is uncertain for them to choose these jobs, since the gap influences their motivation on working. Women’s family may have a discussion concerning choosing the least gap’s job which is beneficial to their future. It is generally accepted that the gap will not disappear in a short time, so while they are working, they must work harder than men. In brief, this is the good side for women. On top of that, the pay gap can help men as well. There is no need for them to worry about the gap, so they can choose any job without pressure. As soon as they look at the gap, their confidence will be increased. Also, I have a brother named John. He has worked in the U.S in the past four years, though he is twenty years old now. Women were always in a low position in U.S history compared to men. Due to the pay gap between men and women, it must make women lose status in the future. The gap will be haunted by people’s hearts, which allow some terrible ideas about unfairness existing in people’s minds. Let us supposed a woman, she works very hard and spends a great deal of time working, but her salary is still lower than men. Because of this, her motivation on working will be lost. Additionally, the population of men and women is equal. In this respect, we cannot bear the gender pay gap. In short, the gender pay gap has some shortcomings
