The nonprofit sector in America is a reflection some of the foundational values that brought our nation into existence. Fundamentals, such as the idea that people can govern themselves and the belief that people should have the opportunity to make a difference by joining a like-minded group, have made America and its nonprofit sector what it is today. The American "civil society" is one that has been produced through generations of experiments with government policy, nonprofit organizations, private partnerships, and individuals who have asserted ideas and values. The future of the nonprofit sector will continue to be experimental in many ways. However, the increase of professional studies in nonprofit management and the greater expectation of its role in society is causing executives to look to more scientific methods of management.
Non-Profit organizations are a major mold in society in general, and they continue to help advance many of the social causes of our time. From the description, we know that employee and volunteer morale is quite low, and that is the fault of the senior management. In an organization, it is important that each individual knows that they are contributing to something larger than themselves. In many cases, employees seek to work somewhere where they can earn a living, but also where they can become a member of a team, and feel a sense of purpose. When they are not treated with respect or given the ability to make their own decisions, they lose engagement and become stagnant in their work. The director is the head of six departments ran by associate directors. Under these associate directors several other department and student organizations are ran. Also, due to the size communication was quite open all associate directors felt comfortable and took meeting with the dean of students as well as the president of the university. This could be due to the institutions bragging on being an open campus where leadership is highly encouraged and often expected. Even though there is open flow of communication between all there is a divide of authority. Rev. Scott answers to the director of student affairs but in her department, she is the person who has authority and power she makes rule and plans the course of action for her advisor and she sets the tone and goal for all aspects of inclusivity programing at the institution. With more than 8 million employees and more than 80 million volunteers in the United States alone nonprofit are some of the most important job in recent times (Drucker). The importance of many nonprofit organizations could be the difference between many people’s lives and their deaths. The importance of nonprofit organizations is growing throughout the United States day by day. The fact that nonprofits are built solely on helping the people throughout your community and neighboring communities make nonprofits important based on that fact in itself. Nonprofit provide places to sleep when maybe a family has nowhere to go or somewhere to have a hot meal. This could be someone in your family, a close friend or even a distant neighbor but in all people are people and help is help so the reasons for nonprofit being important are ongoing.
These two Non Government Organizations: ABS – CBN Sagip Kapamilya and GMA Kapuso Foundation does affect an individual’s life, but it can affect each of everyone in different ways. In the collection of donations, GMA Kapuso Foundation found in – kind donations more important that monetary donations, while ABS – CBN Sagip Kapamilya Foundation found monetary donations the most important of all the donations. However, there are also some similarities between these foundations. GMA Kapuso Foundation has a goal of uplifting and aiming a better life to the beneficiaries, and so did ABS – CBN Sagip Kapamilya Foundation. Also, both of them are willing to serve the Filipinos with all of their heart. However, some results in this paper stated were different from the research which is stated.
