In this current year of National Honor Society, we didn't have a treasurer, which added more responsibility, tasks, and stress to the current officers, and advisors. Having a treasurer this upcoming year will make it easier for both upcoming officers and advisors. I, Quaja Wimbleduff, would make an excellent Treasurer for National Honor Society. My goal for being treasurer is to ensure that National Honor Society’s money is properly balanced, and distributed. For the past two years, I have been the treasurer for the Little River Cumberland Valley District Youth. The L.R.C.V.D.Y is made up of about twenty Baptist churches. The youth of each church comes together every third Saturday and have a meeting. We talk about upcoming events, and have a lesson from a Pastor. During the meeting, I collect money to help support the youth. Once the money is collected, I count the money, and report the total to the youth and youth advisor. Then the total is wrote down and added to the total money that's in the bank. In mid-June we …show more content…
have a youth conference where I will give my final report of the money: stating the budget, how much money we collect, how much money is spent, and the final amount we have left in the back. At the end of the conference, the youth elects new officers. The election process is first you have to be a member of one of the represented churches, next you have to be nominated by a youth, or an adult. If you get nominated, you can either withdraw your name, or accept your name to be in the running for your selected office. After each office have been nominated, the youth votes for the person who can uphold their office, and the person with the most votes wins. Once all offices have been selected, you're prayed into that respected office. Being nominated, and voted in for two years has been a blessing. I have learned so much by being treasurer, and realized the value of money. Another reason why I qualify for being treasurer is because I’m good with money management.
For half a year now I have managed my own bank account at First Southern. By having a bank account, I have made a personal budget to make sure I have enough money in the bank to buy necessities, and not to buy things I desire. Having a budget is hard to maintain, however, it's a great choice to have to ensure financial stability. Outside of having a bank account, I also save money at home to help buy myself a car and to help my family out, especially my mom and dad, anyway possible. Next, being the president of Harrison Street Baptist Youth I work closely with the youth leaders to ensure that the youth funds is being used to help benefit the youth and to help the community youth. Also, my math scores are phenomenal. My previous years in Algebra I & Algebra II my grade have been 95, and my act score in math is a
25. Lastly, I qualify for NHS treasurer because I'm a great leader. In this past year of marching band, I became the first African American drum major. This accomplishment uplifted my community. Knowing that I have open more doors and inspired the youth to become better than what the world except them has been a major breakthrough for me. To have children parents stop me and tell me that I have became apart history for Caldwell County, and that their kid wanted to be like me when they get older has warmed my heart dearly. I have became a major role model for my community, and I’m forever thankful. Another part of being drum major is you communicate to the band and band directors. You proved motivation, guidance, and support to the band. Sometime making decisions that's not popular among the band but benefited them at the end. Before being drum major of the band, I was section leader for two years. Being section leader for band meant you was over a certain group and you communicated to the drum major, band directors, and staff. For the past four years I have been apart of leadership team. Leadership team is a group of the top leaders in band. Their job is to help motivate the band, and to keep the band focus on the task at hand. At the end of sophomore year, I was selected as well as another sophomore to represent Caldwell County at HOBY. HOBY is a leadership seminar for upcoming juniors in high schools across Kentucky. The main purpose of HOBY was to teach us how to improve our leadership skills, and how we can improve our community. HOBY was a great learning experience for me, and would recommend this program to every sophomore.
I want to be a Bank of America Student Leader because I wish to be able to experience new opportunities for volunteering and interact with others who shares the same interests. This opportunity would also allow me to learn more about leadership skills so that I will be a better leader in the future to make improvements for the community. Even though I lack many traits, I am willing to learn from criticisms and I am open minded to others’ opinions. Born talented or not, I believe that the desire to learn is the most important characteristic that a person can possess and I am willing to learn from this opportunity if I am lucky enough to receive it. Being a Vietnamese immigrant who is living in a large Vietnamese community in Garden Grove, I
I am exceptionally grateful for this opportunity to possibly be a member of this very prestigious organization. Every day I work tremendously hard to be noticed by both other scholars and my teachers. Now that an opportunity has come, I am truly excited to demonstrate and live by the values of The National Junior Honors Society. I hope to further expose and show both my dedication and want to join arms with my community and my peers and I wish to continue to work with passion and fire to shape the world into a brighter place.
I would like to begin with saying that I am honored to be invited into the National Honors Society. I am continually setting high standards for myself and to join a group of like minded people would be a very satisfying reward. I consider this invitation for application an incredible opportunity for forward advancement in my scholarly journey. So, to dive right into why I would like to join this honored society, I will briefly expound on my character and traits for you.
I am writing to inform you of my possible contributions to the National Honor Society and my interest in becoming a member. I view myself as a strong minded individual with a strong incentive to learn. Acquiring the ability to learn fast and adapt quickly has enabled me to be a part of a wide range of organizations. My participation and loyalty to the NHS could result in a great strive forward. I could provide more ideas of services to benefit the school and our community. I would also devote a large portion of my free time to the organization and assist in any way possible. Whether that means coming in early in the morning or staying late after school, I would do any means necessary to show my commitment.
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. I wish to take the time to give thanks for this impeccable opportunity in applying for the highly sought after National Honor Society. Being nominated for National Junior Honor Society is a highly prestigious honor, and I am very grateful to be a candidate. To be a member of this prestigious organization means so much to me just to be invited to be one of its members. Leadership is a great skill to have. So, by being a member of this group I would be showing leadership. I am also a hard worker and a great role model who always helps others. I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I plan to demonstrate leadership, create enthusiasm, and develop character for academic excellence while participating in NJHS. Whenever I set a goal, I am certain to achieve it. With my outstanding personality and traits, I plan to be useful to NJHS and my school.
Being proud of something can have many different meanings to people, but to me, it means to be honored and to be glad that something happened. I am proud about many things in my life but one thing I am extremely proud of is my induction into the NJHS. NJHS stands for National Junior Honor Society.
“Leadership, dreams, scholarships, service, pride and character”, the first words that come to mind when I hear “National Honor Society”. Being chosen for National Honor Society is a great honor, as it has proved that from my childhood till now my hard work has paid off. From the beginning of high school, as a freshman to now a junior, I have always pushed myself to do better, but not better than others, better than myself. I had competition with myself and my past grades, as I emboldened myself to do better than each of my past marking period grades. I heartened myself to get stronger grades, because since the day I found out in freshman year that there was National Honor Society I was determined to get in. The day of my sister’s graduation
Being a potential candidate of the National Honor Society is a distinction that I greatly honor. I wish to be a member of the prestigious group for the various benefits to myself, my school, and my community. A member of my family was a former member of the National Honor Society; he has mentioned many positive benefits of being a member and how being a member is beneficial to the community. Due to my exemplary qualities of a National Honor Society member, I am qualified to be part of the chapter.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
I am profoundly honored to be among the exceptional people who are being noticed for the National Honor Society. Being considered to join the National Honor Society is an honor in itself. It proves to me that I have accomplished my goals and worked to the best of my ability. In all my years as a student I have always tried to do the my best to get the highest grades. I do not just focus on my academics, I also strive to be a benefit to Stevenson High School. Achieving my goal in becoming a member of the National Honor Society would give me a great sense of honor and joy both academically and personally. As a human being I have aspiration and academic excellence to offer to the National Honors Society. I would be thrilled to join The
It is with great honor to be considered among the students of my class to be a part of the National Honor Society. the National Honor Society (NHS) has been an organization that has displayed great interest to me, with new leadership skills and responsibilities to take upon. I believe that I hold the leadership skills, service, character, and academic excellence that is required to become a member of the National Honor Society.
Being nominated for the National Honor Society is an honor and a privilege. Throughout my high school career at The Good Hope Country Day School, I have strove to achieve the best potential grades. Aside from academics, I also strive for success in athletics. I have been a member of my swim team for nine years. Presently, I am a co-captain of the team. From being a captain, I have learned the essential qualities needed for Leadership. I have learned how to create unity and build strength within a group, and how to cope with issues in a group. These skills can be used anywhere whether it be on the team, at school, or in the community. As a member of the Interact Club and Student Council I am very involved in the community service events and fundraisers, as well as events at school. Apart from school I lifeguard and teach swim lessons for community service. I am an extremely dedicated person. I follow a rigorous daily routine starting with practice, them school, then another practice and then home for homework. School, sports, and family have always been my top priorities. I believe that my leadership, positive attitude and determination for success will make me a great attribute to the National Honor Society. It would be an honor to be inducted into the National Honor Society.
Welcome to bible study we’re all children of Jesus. I am applying for a position in student government due to my yearning desire to be better involved on campus. This fall semester is my second semester at OCC and after completing last semester, I came to the realization that I'd like to do more than just study at OCC. I’d like to be a part of something meaningful and greater. I am currently serving as the General Service Chair for the Circle K club on campus and am focusing on community service and bettering our community. I have been the General Service Chair since March and have extensive event planning and organizational skills. I have planned over 25 service events since then and I'm currently helping plan a large scale service event that'll
