The National Honor Society at Trumbull High school is a prestigious organization that is an entitlement to students’ careers as they begin to wind down at Trumbull High. I would be honored to join such an organization as I believe the virtues of scholarship, character, leadership, and service needed for this society. As soon as I opened my mailbox and obtained the letter regarding my eligibility for National Honor Society, I knew I had the scholastic abilities to be part of such an organization. Throughout my high school career, I have tried to excel myself as much as I can in my academic conquest. I have taken a plethora of honors and AP classes; however, I have balanced the difficulties of my course load out to allow me to acquire the most knowledge of the subjects I take. Tutoring has become a huge part of my life and I thoroughly enjoy it. Tutoring allows me not only to help kids learn, but it also allows me to become a better person. Being able to teach kids has allowed me to become friendlier and reachable. Additionally, having this job has made me more responsible. I have to budget my time more wisely now and always be prepared for the subjects my students are learning about in school. My experiences with tutoring others has taught me that it satisfies me to help others understand and learn. As you teach others you learn about the different ways you handle situations and solve issues as well. I’ve always been the person that my classmates come up to for help, but it wasn’t till grade 10 until I officially started tutoring math, mainly Pre-Calculus 12. In grade 11, I continued tutoring, but this time I focused on a single individual, and that brought up challenges of creating a suitable relationship, that becomes the foundation for effective learning. I would like to begin with saying that I am honored to be invited into the National Honors Society. I am continually setting high standards for myself and to join a group of like minded people would be a very satisfying reward. I consider this invitation for application an incredible opportunity for forward advancement in my scholarly journey. So, to dive right into why I would like to join this honored society, I will briefly expound on my character and traits for you.
I’m so happy to be given the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society(NJHS). I would love to be a member. I think it is important for kids to be involved in the community. Also, myself personally it would be an honor to be a face for our school.
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. Being chosen for National Honor Society is a great honor, as it has proved that from my childhood till now my hard work has paid off.
