I am pursuing a degree in accounting mainly because I enjoy doing math and it won’t be too hard to find a job in the field. I am on the men's soccer team and enjoy playing the sport, so being able to come here and do what I love while pursuing a degree is more than I could have ever asked for. I also work at Jimmy Johns and try to make money along the way if I can. My personal goals plan consists of short-term, medium-term and long-term goals. The short-term goals contains getting all of my work done in my classes, impressing the soccer coach, and working three days a week to make a decent amount of money. Next, the medium-term goals are becoming a starter on the soccer team, making it to the national tournament and finishing off the year with at least a 3.4 GPA. Lastly, my long-term goals include graduating with an accounting degree, getting a good paying job and purchasing my own place to live. …show more content…
My first goal is getting all my work done in my classes. I plan to accomplish this is by staying organized with a planner and checking on blackboard everyday to see what is due and when I should begin doing the assignments. My second goal is impressing the soccer coach and to do this I will work hard at practice and be responsible with making it to our activities on time. My last goal is to work enough to make a good amount of money. Picking up other people's shifts and asking to be scheduled three days a week is the best way for me to achieve this goal. Always keeping short-term goals is the best way to get things done as soon as you
My short term goals academically is to pass all my classes this first semester, and my short term goal professionally is to just continue with my current job of working at target. I work at target 5 days a week and about 35 hours a week. My long term goals academically are to major in criminal justice, and my long term goal professionally is to become a DEA agent.
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very
My short and long-term goals are mainly focused towards bettering myself and enhancing my education to be able to better care for people. I believe there is always room for improvement in everything that we do and one should always keep that in
I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. Another goal of mine is to finish my core classes early so I can have a bump free senior year. By taking Dual credit and classes throughout the summer I can reduce my workload later on in the future. A third major goal of mine is to be accepted into the Andy Dekaney National Honors Society. As an active member of the NHS I can become more outgoing and have a chance to give back to the
“Never underestimate your own strength. You were born for a purpose and are blessed with the power to achieve it” (Leon Brown). I have this quote printed out and on the wall next to my door so I can see it every day as a reminder to myself. I believe that we all have a purpose on this earth and that everything we go through on the journey there has a reason whether to teach a lesson or set an example. We have places where we want to end up and goals we want to achieve. We set these goals and dreams to help us fulfill the purpose we see for ourselves. I believe my purpose is to help people in their times of need. To fulfill my purpose, I will need to use my personal, academic and career goals to create a pathway to get to where I want to be
My my personal goals are to get a 27 on my ACT, have a above a 2.8 GPA, and get a basketball scholarship to ORU. I need to jump into college with alacrity.I plan on reaching these goals by working hard and really focusing in all of my classes every single day and making sure I make enough time in my week to study for all my tests I take. Even if I have antipathy for a class I still need to be inquisitive and ask questions.
I came to Texas Tech with the goal of graduating with a degree in accounting. I always knew accounting would be a good field for me due to my organizational skills and the fact that every industry needs accountants. However, I had no idea what profession or industry I wanted to go into. In my time here at Texas Tech, I have had valuable experiences and have come up with several goals for events that will occur before and after earning my degree. The short-term goals I set in place for myself are to obtain an assurance internship with a Big 4 accounting firm and to get accepted into the MSA program so that I will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam after graduation. My long-term goals consist of earning a full-time position at the firm I intern at,
My second long-term goal is to think about retirement and beyond. I have been blessed with such an amazing career. I would like to be able to retire from work and spend time with my wife and future grandchildren. I would like to be financially secure and healthy enough to continue helping others.
A goal of mine is to get accepted in to National Honors Society. I will reach this goal by getting all my work done and studying a lot. Something the board of NHS looks at when you apply is if you have a number of volunteer hours. I hope to get at least 70 before my junior year. In order to get 70, I will use my free time to help teachers or students get jobs done. Another goal would be valedictorian. If I can work hard on every assignment and study for every test to reach at least a 4.0 GPA, I know I will be one of the valedictorians. One last goal would be receiving at least 3 varsity letters from the sports I play. I can get 3 by being a leader on these
To start of my first goal is to graduate high school with a 3.5 GPA or higher. I plan on doing this by turning in all assignments on time and good quality work. My next goal is to graduate
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
As of right now, the only long-term goals that I have are to start a family of my own and make an impact in one way or another. Starting a family should be very simple for me compared to trying to leave my mark on the world. I hope to make an impact on the world through the career that I pursue and by being involved in the community at large through either volunteerism or government. I have already worked towards making an impact on the world during my high school career by being involved in activities like Student Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and National Honor Society. As I enter adult life, I hope to continue my involvement in the community and in my world and achieve my goal of leaving the world better than I found
Research a life goal Although I have many goals in life, these two stick out to me the most. They stick out in every decision I make and they help me make good decisions. What I want most in life is to become a pharmacist and to create a family with someone I love. I want the family most importantly because I was raised in a very tight Greek family.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
When planning for our future it is important to have clear goals in mind and to understand the steps that need to be taken to achieve those goals. My long-term goal is to run my own counseling center and employee at least one other person. Some Skills I already possess that will allow me to succeed with this plan are my ability to relate to people and be consistent in following the steps needed, even though it will be a long and tedious process.
