I decided to choose this career because when I was a freshman in highschool I tore my ACL for the first time. I avidly want to study nursing. At ORU you have to take a four year bachelor of science program to become a nurse. ISo it would take me four years to begin my career. To get into nursing school you must maintain a GPA of 2.5 in all nursing classes as well as a cumulative 2.5 GPA. This school year I need to make sure I do well in all my classes not only in one semester but through the whole school year, make good study habits, and do well on my ACT. My my personal goals are to get a 27 on my ACT, have a above a 2.8 GPA, and get a basketball scholarship to ORU. I need to jump into college with alacrity.I plan on reaching these goals by working hard and really focusing in all of my classes every single day and making sure I make enough time in my week to study for all my tests I take. Even if I have antipathy for a class I still need to be inquisitive and ask questions. By the time I graduate in 2019 I need to have made sure I have accomplished everything single thing I had planned on. I need to research more on what all nurses study and how hard nursing school really is. I could keep my grades up by getting a personal tutor or maybe making friends in college and we could have study group. Being determined throughout high school and college will help you a lot. When thinking of a career I would enjoy, I kept my interests and hobbies in mind. Through life I have developed an interest for helping people, and a career as a Nurse Practitioner will allow me to do so. From going to mission trips and assisting children to lending a hand at the local nursing homes, I knew a career in the medical field was where I needed to be. A career in nursing is a devotion to assisting those people who are ill and need to be taken care of. To become a nurse one must become qualified in health sciences and be able to have the patience to deal with all type of people. As a highschool student we come up with many goals that we want to achieve each year. My three main goals for my junior year are to get good grades and maintain a good G.P.A. to stay active and play sports, and to start looking for colleges to apply for. Usually, it is hard to achieve all your own personal goals, especially if it involves working extra hard or doing other tedious activities.
Goals such as getting a high GPA or even to pass a certain class correlates to being able to learn in school. When my Freshman year came around my goal was to do well in school; I began educating myself in and outside of school. Settings goals had me acquire knowledge and that is one of my experience of education.
My main goal is to get an athletic scholarship. I won't be able to get one though if my grades aren't good and I can't have that happen. Education will be able to help me continue to do what I love. I plan to keep doing what I am doing in school so I can leave Freeburg knowing I am set for the next few years in my academic and sports filled life.
