There have been times where it is difficult to make the right choices. For example, on a weekend before a huge science test, my friends were going to have a sleepover and wanted me to join. I did not want to miss out because hanging out with friends and creating memories is something I enjoy. However, I did think about that test when I was asked. I knew I was struggling with understanding motion. The test would either have negatively or positively impacted my grade. I wanted to get a passing score, so I decided to pass on the sleepover to study more. I studied hard and at the end of the day I had spent great quality family time. Monday was the test, and I went in confident and determined. Although I had studied, I struggled with the wording …show more content…
I have set goals that will help better myself as an individual. My number one goal is to never give up at any point throughout my four years of high school so I can attend the University of Southern California (USC) and major in oncology. My second goal is to pass each year of high school with a 4.0 GPA because it will increase my chances of attending USC. My third goal is to participate in as many clubs and school events possible so I can create and hold memories and so it can look good on my university application.
3. My greatest accomplishment I have achieved was when I got honor roll. I believe this is my greatest accomplishment because I put hard work and determination to receive that award. I felt so good knowing I got acknowledged for something I never gave up on.
4. I was at a friends house with permission from my mother. Once I was there, we got a call from another friend inviting us over to a Halloween party. My friend talked me into going without letting my mom know since I knew she would not allow it. I agreed and we left to the party because I did not think I would get caught. But when it was time for me to get picked up and I was still at the party, I had no other choice than to give my mom the address of where I as at. When she picked me up, she immediately saw that there was a party going on. She was completely disappointed and upset because she thought I had lied to her the entire time. I felt very bad because I knew I had let her down. I was punished and
A personal accomplishment that I am proud of is when I got all A’s throughout the school year and made the honor roll for the first time, the reason why this is an accomplishment because I never made the honor roll in any of my school years, this was major for me because I proved a lot of people who thought I could never get an A in school or even make the honor roll because of my past grade point average.
I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. Another goal of mine is to finish my core classes early so I can have a bump free senior year. By taking Dual credit and classes throughout the summer I can reduce my workload later on in the future. A third major goal of mine is to be accepted into the Andy Dekaney National Honors Society. As an active member of the NHS I can become more outgoing and have a chance to give back to the
I’m a Freshman at Eaton Rapids High School, and I have a lot of goals for these next few years. First off, later this year I am running for class president. I have always wanted to give back and lead my class. Also, next year I want to join the football and baseball teams to get more fit. I have already started to train every day. Later in High school I also hope to get accepted into the National Honor Society.
One goal that I work hard at daily is to try to do well in high school. I try to involve myself in any activity that I can, both academically and socially, so that I can graduate with honors. The reason why I do this is because I plan on going to college, and I would like to be able to get accepted into any school that I apply to. Going to college alone would be a major achievement for my family and I, because I will be the first person in my family to attend college. Immediately after I graduate, I want to start my career as police investigator/detective.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
My my personal goals are to get a 27 on my ACT, have a above a 2.8 GPA, and get a basketball scholarship to ORU. I need to jump into college with alacrity.I plan on reaching these goals by working hard and really focusing in all of my classes every single day and making sure I make enough time in my week to study for all my tests I take. Even if I have antipathy for a class I still need to be inquisitive and ask questions.
My goals all started the day when I came home from school and my dad was packing his stuff, loading his car to leave. This happened in November of 2002. When I was 5 years old my parents got a divorce. From that day forward I have been motivated to do the best that is possible and show both of my parents that I can be better than them and actually pursue a higher education. The college I would like to attend is the University of North Texas, because I want to have a future.
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
Throughout my life I have had multiple experiences that have given me the feeling of accomplishment whether it is at home, at school, volunteering, or in my general community. However, there is one instance that has made me feel accomplished in each one of those scenarios. Each person has a different definition or qualities that classify that accomplished feeling. For me, accomplishment not only means completing the goals that I have set for myself but also feeling proud of the way I completed these actions no matter how difficult it may have been.
Goals are something everybody needs to have, without them where are you going? What are you doing and why are you doing it? My personal goal is to stay vegan and to stay healthy. My academic goal would be to go to all of my classes, to not get grades under a B, and to understand what I am being taught. Lastly, my career goal, I do not want to work a 9-5, I want to be doing something I really enjoy doing.
My biggest accomplishment in school is when I graduated high school early despite what others said. I decided that public high school was not for me, because of all of the distractions I had. So I begged my mom to transfer me to butterflied high school. I went one time a week to meet with my teacher were I turned in all my homework and took my tests. I feel that going
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
Accomplishments mark a new beginning for many people. It also ends adolescence to begin a journey to adulthood. An accomplishment and event that took place in my life was obtaining and maintaining a job. I became employed by family friends at a local pizza restaurant and soon was commended for being one of the most productive employees. I cook, clean, prep and wait on customers all at the same time.
I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
My goals in life are ultimately to achieve success in life. My goals are to also have happiness, prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able to carry out my goals. My goals are also heavily influenced on the hardships my parents have had to endure such as facing ridicule for the simple fact of being immigrants, the extremely difficult time they endured due to unemployment and living in poverty, and the low degree of education they received from their countries. My goals are so important to me because I view it as way out of barely getting by, out of a harder life. My goals consist of me being the first person on my mother 's side to ever graduate from middle and high school. My goals also consist of making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter that will give them a more comfortable life, one that is not filled with such pain. After seeing my mother suffer from a liver infection which caused her to become sick to the point of hospitalization, I promised myself that day I never wanted anyone to feel as sick as my mother did. No one deserves to go through that much suffering. My dream and passion is to study Biology at the GREAT Bethune- Cookman University and to be a doctor who will not only help my community here in America but also for my families in
