Why I Want To Pursue Higher Education

My goals all started the day when I came home from school and my dad was packing his stuff, loading his car to leave. This happened in November of 2002. When I was 5 years old my parents got a divorce. From that day forward I have been motivated to do the best that is possible and show both of my parents that I can be better than them and actually pursue a higher education. The college I would like to attend is the University of North Texas, because I want to have a future. I feel that I am prepared to pursue higher education at this time because of the responsibility I have learned from my school and work. Going to UNT used to be a dream and out of sight, but now it has become more of a realistic thing to attend. Let's begin my journey of when I took the first tour of UNT. This 3 year experience has taught me to lead my team to excel and also keep them on track. In the process of doing these things, the leadership role has taught me how to multi-task and be more goal oriented. In one of the competitions that I attended, my team and I finished in the final four because we had our goals set and I was able to take responsibility for everything that happen whether it be for the good or the bad. The final reason I am ready for higher education is that I have worked at numerous places (Chipotle, Jersey Mike's Etc.) which have taught how to become responsible in managing assignments. Whether it be at work or at school, becoming more responsible will allow me to take care of the things that I need and not procrastinate. I have been given many objectives which are extraordinarily difficult, and have a very short deadline to complete. When I am under a lot of pressure or stress I seem to push myself more than what other my peers would because I believe in myself achieving
