My goals all started the day when I came home from school and my dad was packing his stuff, loading his car to leave. This happened in November of 2002. When I was 5 years old my parents got a divorce. From that day forward I have been motivated to do the best that is possible and show both of my parents that I can be better than them and actually pursue a higher education. The college I would like to attend is the University of North Texas, because I want to have a future. I feel that I am prepared to pursue higher education at this time because of the responsibility I have learned from my school and work. Going to UNT used to be a dream and out of sight, but now it has become more of a realistic thing to attend. Let's begin my journey of when I took the first tour of UNT. The campus itself is just beautiful. This was the very first …show more content…
This 3 year experience has taught me to lead my team to excel and also keep them on track. In the process of doing these things, the leadership role has taught me how to multi-task and be more goal oriented. In one of the competitions that I attended, my team and I finished in the final four because we had our goals set and I was able to take responsibility for everything that happen whether it be for the good or the bad. The final reason I am ready for higher education is that I have worked at numerous places (Chipotle, Jersey Mike's Etc.) which have taught how to become responsible in managing assignments. Whether it be at work or at school, becoming more responsible will allow me to take care of the things that I need and not procrastinate. I have been given many objectives which are extraordinarily difficult, and have a very short deadline to complete. When I am under a lot of pressure or stress I seem to push myself more than what other my peers would because I believe in myself achieving
So after graduation I decided to explore my options at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh. Wow, was this a mistake? Not only was the college to big for my own well being, but the big university provided too many distractions. This is why I feel I have finally taken the right and first step. in securing my future.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This is my all-time favorite quote. It is my motivation when the skies around me become cloudy. It is the fuel that feeds my ever-growing hunger to dance. Living by this motto will help me achieve my goal of becoming not just a professional dancer, but also an inspiration to others. My strong extracurricular background provides for a solid base, serving as a great steppingstone as I reach closer and closer to making my dream a reality.
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
These goals have been in part influenced by my childhood and Hispanic Heritage. Had it not been for the vast efforts of my parents I may have never had the chance to receive a quality education or even vision post-secondary options. When I was two years old my father was in an accident, he had fell two stories at work. This accident left my dad in a coma for 17 days and in a vegetative state. I was little at ...
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
“A good education is a foundation for a better future.” ~ Elizabeth Warren. The reasoning behind why I want to go to college is to better my future. I am considered one of the first generation in my family to go to college, putting a lot of meaning behind why I believe I should go on to a different path. From a very young age I have always held high expectations of myself, even of the numerous changes in careers I had obtained an interest in. I have always envisioned myself going to college because I certainly value education. I believe that the more education I receive, the more valuable I am to this generation of the work force. Not only does my passion of learning hold place in the reasoning behind why I want to go to college, but because of my role models growing up. My parents both encourage me on a daily basis to go to college, and have encouraged my initiative to seek more in life. My father once explained that he once had this opportunity to receive a free ride to college but decided to stay home and start a family. He of course never looked back or regretted his decision because if not I wouldn 't be here today, but he encouraged me to take on these amazing offers and

I’m a student at Tompkins Cortland Community College this is my first semester as a college student. I plan to go to college for four years and only be at TC3 for this one semester, then transfer to a four year school. College has grown around the world more than ever and more people are attending college more than ever. I have chosen to go to college because of the rewards after graduation. Yes it is another four years of school but by getting more education and an extended degree gives me more opportunities for better jobs and more money. The career I have chosen to study is business administration. I am hoping that it takes me to a great job managing a company or possibly being an accountant.
Over the past ten years I have worked within the field of health and social care supporting people with Parkinson disease, dementia, as well as working with elderly people. Since 2014, I started working with young adults with disabilities this have been very challenging however, rewarding experience. My involvement of planning activities and care for these young adults have allowed me to reevaluate my perception of someone living with disabilities. This also gave me an insight of the daily challenges faced by these individuals, being in the position to be able to assist them in fulfilling life activities and to bring about change in their lives have been inspiring.

My Dream Goal A time in my life when I attempted to fulfill my dream or reach a goal was when I wanted to be a NFL football player and be a millionaire and accomplish it so I can dream another goal that I want in the future when I am a millionaire and take care of my family. It all started when I was seven years old and I told my mom and dad that I wanted to be in the NFL and play for a very good team in a different state or different country and that made me proud because it made my mom smile. I found something that I really love to do and make something of my life, and not live on the street or end up in jail. I set this goal because the only way to be a millionaire was either playing sports or working a very long time.
Many people question how it is that I am sixteen years old and attending Florida State
Our time is limited in this expansive universe and what we do with that piece of momentary shine will ultimately leave behind a legacy for others to follow. Graduate school never crossed my mind growing up, but as the years went by, my affection for learning grew. The curiosity to explore the unknown captured my attention in ways I never thought were imaginable. My thirst for knowledge lingers with me every day and it is why I have decided to pursue a graduate degree. Failure has been one of my greatest teachers, but it has opened so many opportunities for me.

In contrast, he said, unschooling has allowed him to actively seek opportunities to meet people who travel different walks in life.” (thechoice) Everyone has also the same goal in mind which may actually set you back from your goals. That one important goal is that everybody wants to go to college and graduate from it. You meet tons of new people throughout your classes but every single one of them cannot wait till the day they graduate and move onto their future job which is not even promised. College helps people mature individually. It’s the first time people live by themselves in certain cases and you are certainly responsible for your actions. My goals in life are ultimately to achieve success in life. My goals are to also have happiness, prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able to carry out my goals. My goals are also heavily influenced on the hardships my parents have had to endure such as facing ridicule for the simple fact of being immigrants, the extremely difficult time they endured due to unemployment and living in poverty, and the low degree of education they received from their countries. My goals are so important to me because I view it as way out of barely getting by, out of a harder life. My goals consist of me being the first person on my mother 's side to ever graduate from middle and high school. My goals also consist of making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter that will give them a more comfortable life, one that is not filled with such pain. After seeing my mother suffer from a liver infection which caused her to become sick to the point of hospitalization, I promised myself that day I never wanted anyone to feel as sick as my mother did. No one deserves to go through that much suffering. My dream and passion is to study Biology at the GREAT Bethune- Cookman University and to be a doctor who will not only help my community here in America but also for my families in
