Recommended: The importance of setting goals
I have a lot of goals in my lifetime from the small things like joining football next year, to the big things like Becoming a Naval Officer. Being an Eagle Scout will also really help me achieve many of these goals. I joined Cub Scouts in 3rd grade as a bear, and I still enjoy it to this day. I’m a Freshman at Eaton Rapids High School, and I have a lot of goals for these next few years. First off, later this year I am running for class president. I have always wanted to give back and lead my class. Also, next year I want to join the football and baseball teams to get more fit. I have already started to train every day. Later in High school I also hope to get accepted into the National Honor Society. After I finish Highschool I would like
Even to this day I tried to exhibit many of the life skills I learned through the Eagle Scout process. I believe that completing this has led me on to my future career goals in conservation. Boy Scouts has given me a great interest in the outdoors, and also taught me the importance of environmental stewardship.
As an Eagle Scout candidate, my ambition is to serve others while pursuing a life of prosperity, happiness, and leadership, whether it is through education, religious duties, scouting, or careers. My life purpose is to be seen as a model or leader to others while remaining satisfied with my current situations in life. I resolve to stay resilient through any obstacles thrown in my path to achieve my ambitions and life purpose. I will strive to be respected by those that know me in all of the things I participated through leading from behind (following the principles of servile leadership) and applying all that I have learned over the years in Scouts and my life in general.
As a student in Greater Lawrence Technical school my ultimate goal was to become a member of National Honors Society. From the very start I knew I had the potential to become who I wanted to be. Being seen as a person who can be National honors society member has made me so happy and realize I can really go for more in life! They sky's the limit. I always had honor roll and wanted to push myself for more than what I knew I could do. I asked teachers and guidance counselors how to get into NHS and if they believed I was eligible for National Honor Society. They said with your outstanding character, motivation and dedication to help others is how!
The most honorable experience that I have had is working on my Eagle Scout project. I learned how to become a better leader, tackle difficult situations and how to work with others. All of these skills helped me be a better person.
My short-term goals will be completed throughout High School. I am taking a lot of Mathematical classes in High School, this year I am taking Statistics and Business Math. Next year I will either take Calculus or Precalculus. I like taking math courses because there is a lot of math in anyone's life time. Also my career choices require a lot of math, most classes they like to see I have already taken. I plan to get high grades in all of my classes so Colleges will take me seriously. One of my favorite classes is Statistics and I have a decent grade in it too. My activities at school include being in the Woodshop Club. It is very enjoyable for me and I hope to do more in woodworking as I grow older as a hobby. Activities outside of school include mainly Boy Scouts and work. I plan to get my Eagle Scout rank and I might go on to get Eagle Palms. I work as a Concrete laborer and I also do some finishing, it is a very
My Senior year in High School has officially begun, only one more year at Corona High. I know that Senior year is supposed to be fun, but I believe every year is an opportunity to improve. I have already set my goals for this school year. I believe I can achieve a GPA of 4.0 or above. However, there are some personal goals that I need to complete first. I need to stop my terrible habit of procrastinating. Another goal of mine is to pass my AP tests so I can earn college credit. I also want to learn new things, so I started to learn the basics of Coding, now I need to finish this course. These are some things I look to accomplish this year.
I plan on achieving these goals by completing high school, get a high asvab score, and by staying in good physical shape. I will put all my effort into completing my work and being able to stand side by side to my brothers and sisters of the US Marines, ready to defend the United States, and those within the nation. Hoo-Rah.
...e of my goals in life; to be able to give back to the community that has seen me grow and to make the people I love proud of me. Although I aspire to be an officer I would really want to go far beyond being a traffic officer or a patrol officer I really hope to reach my goal to work as a federal law enforcer. I grew up watching many television shows such as COPS, criminal minds, cold case, without a trace, and it has always caught my attention to do work closer to criminal profiling, behavioral analysis. Not only did I grow up watching such television shows but I also has a really tough childhood experience that has led to me wanting to make a difference and I know I may not be able to make a huge difference but as long as I am able to help a few citizens that will do for me. My dream has always been to do something great and that is exactly what I will do.
My most significant contribution to my community was achieved through my Eagle Scout Project. I completed my Eagle Scout Project in 2013 at the McLaurin Vocational Training Center in my hometown, Hamlet, North Carolina. The McLaurin Vocational Training Center, the McLaurin Center for short, is a safe haven for mentally and physically disabled adults. The McLaurin Center helps their clients garner skills that range from basic hygiene to skills that can help the clients be competitive applicants to small jobs in our local workforce. As a result of funding shortages and budget cuts in the recent years, several areas of the McLaurin Center's facilities have not received the updates that they are in need of. The landscaping in front of the main
Often times our new scouts have to attend the meetings for a little while before they catch on to what the older scouts are talking about when using these abbreviations. Most every Boy Scout is after one common goal, earn the rank of Eagle Scout before their eighteenth birthday. Eagle Scouts are the among the most respected and admired scouts to ever exist. The stories they have to tell to their loved ones and friends will entertain for a
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
My main goal is to get an athletic scholarship. I won't be able to get one though if my grades aren't good and I can't have that happen. Education will be able to help me continue to do what I love. I plan to keep doing what I am doing in school so I can leave Freeburg knowing I am set for the next few years in my academic and sports filled life.
The first thing on my list is to graduate high school. I will accomplish this by working hard in my classes to achieve good grades. Being my senior year, I plan to really concentrate on my school work to help get a better grade point average (G.P.A). By earning a higher G.P.A. it can help lead to scholarships,...
There are many roads in life that people travel down to get to where they are going, and it is impossible to know where you are headed until you find experiance in where you have been. I did not have the opportunity to grow up in a military family per se, but the discipline instilled in myself by both of my parents allowed me to strive for any goal I set out after. From a very young age, a higher education was something not only to be sought after, but an expectation.
The reason for me of wanting to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout is a matter of wanting to do better than the norm. It is often tempting to want to sit around and accomplish nothing, only desiring instant gratification. My ultimate goal in life is to have a successful and sustaining career and to be able to have a happy wife and children. By getting the rank of Eagle Scout, I can show myself that my hard work and perseverance can pay off and that I am only one step closer to reaching the future that I desire. Another reason for wanting the rank of Eagle Scout were all of the lessons learned from my Eagle Scout project and all of the years of experience in scouting beforehand have taught me.
