My first semester in college was a blessing. I was able to learn and experience so much different things throughout my time here. My favorite class to go to was my english class, because we were often able to share our ideas and intellectually argue different point of views. I took this class very serious because it was going to help me become a better writer. Although I was not always on time, I completed most of my assignments to the best of my abilities and I tried my best to be a helpful classmate. Thus, I do not believe the grade I got was fair and reflective of the work I done over the course of the semester. From the first day of class, I was always on top of my work. It took me a while to figure out how to use Moodle but, my assignments were always completed. The lectures that were sent out, I watched them and while doing the work associated with the lectures I would pause and rewind accordingly. I made sure my work was done according the rubric and outline. There was never a time that I did not follow directions. In fact, I was so on top of my work, students started coming to me for help. We would often bounce ideas off of each …show more content…
My favorite part of the class was sharing ideas with the other students and writing essays. I love to hear the way other students think. Hearing their ideas was fodder for my essays. Many times my classmates noticed thing I would not have notice if I was working on the assignment by myself. Hearing their points of views and decided who I agreed with made writing my essays that much easier. As a result, I did all my essays. I put all that I had into those essays. I constantly went back to either change, add on, or deleted anything that did not contribute to the development of my essay. I was always striving for them to be perfect. According to the overview, Many of my assignments are either missing or not graded. Currently, my grade is a C, I know I deserve
English 101 is one of the most common college courses in the world. When I enrolled in the class, I was bothered that I would have spend forty hours in a freshman writing class; along with at least another forty hours throughout the semester writing for the class. What surprised me, was that when I began writing my essays I was not annoyed or bothered; I actually enjoyed the assignments. Most importantly, throughout the course of the semester, I have become a better writer and have ultimately met the course goals of English 101.
My biggest improvement in this English 111 class was my writing. Writing tasks that were assigned greatly strengthened my overall performance throughout the course, preparing me for the future classes. The environment made me feel at ease, helping me evolve as a student, and as a person. The environment made me feel at ease, preparing me for future classes. Another large achievement of mine that I displayed in the class, was my ability to talk comfortably with the other students. The variety of group activities we did allowed me to openly speak my opinion, leading to a better overall performance with my work and papers. The English 111 class enabled me to have better participation in and out of class and allowed
Throughout this semester we have had to write many types of essays. Although this is a college English class there is still room for improvement. I made much improvement during the semester of the class. I was able to identify my weaknesses. I learned how to make improvements to the areas I was having problems in. Although each essay we did was different I was able to begin with one essay and throughout the semester turn it into two other essays. I was able to change my style of writing to fit the type of audience I was working with. I will continue to work on my writing and keep improving it.
This semester was my very first semester as a college student. Being the first, it was probably the semester I would learn the most in. I learned the expectations for writing that I will have to live up to for the next four years of my college career. Though my high school teachers were usually demanding because I was in the Honors English section throughout high school, writing in college has still ?raised the bar? for me. Also, in high school, we would have weeks to pick a topic, create a thesis, outline the paper, write the paper, and then revise the paper. In college, the time restraints are not quite as lenient. I?ve had to learn to manage my time and be more productive with what free moments I have. Strangely enough, I?ve found the college English experience to be much more rewarding and enjoyable than in high school.
What grade do I deserve? That is a hard question to ask from the point of view of the student, without being bias. But if I were to look back at the work I’ve done in graphics so far, I believe my grade should be a 90. Some reasons why I deserve a 90 in this class is because of the effort I put in a project, my attitude towards it, and being interested in my work. I think all of these traits show in most of my projects like the pin design and shirt design.
Introductory speeches in many Shakespeare plays can be a foreshadowing of what is to come. In William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth night,” we see a tremendous amount of monolog made by many different characters in many different acts. One monolog, in particular, gives the readers a hint or an impression of what goes on in the play itself. In the very first act in the play twelfth night, Duke Orsino’s introductory monolog uses diction, personification, and metaphor to show themes of desire and deception that are explored through the characters and the play in the larger play.
I deserve a 86 for my grade because I have used all my work time wisely most of the time. I pay attention to do what i’m supposed to do, and not mess up in my work. I do fool around in class a lot but I attempt to finish my work when needed. I try my best and make sure I follow all of my direction.
In high school, my favorite class was AP U.S. History, not because I love the humanities but because my teacher was engaged, interested and committed to his subject. As his student, I found those qualities infectious and a class I actually dreaded before starting became my
I think the grade I deserve is a 90 or above. I think I deserve a 90 or above, because of three reasons. Reason number 1 is based on effort. Reason 2 is based on creativity, and reason 3 is based on relationships between others like helping them when they need it.
I studied weather, clothes, and verb conjugations. I also checked over my test when I finished to make sure I could get it closest to perfection. I checked over my scantron for silly mistakes and to see if I answered the questions correctly. Plus, I continued to check over my work till it made the best I could. I would say I did well with a grade of 71/75 that got me into Spanish
I enjoyed the way that we talked about the news in the beginning of class to start off the day. For example when we talked about school shootings, being treated unfairly due to our colors or looks (the Starbucks incident), or politics. To talk about things like these made me feel as if I had been filled me up with knowledge and I liked that. Talking about the news is something I
It does not happens often that a student writes an essay saying what grade they deserve in their course. How much was the student involve in class? Was the professor well explained? As for me, I believe I deserve a good grade for this class, perhaps an A or maybe even a B. I came to class every day, turned in work and participate, but most importantly I learn. Coming in a little late might have probably affect my grade.
Both inside and outside class, I learned to be proactive, to question everything, and never to be satisfied with imperfection. I learned that my classmates were not evil rivals, but fellow comrades with the same educational goals as my own. I found them to be invaluable sources of help and guidance in my education. Although extremely different, each Brown student is incredibly passionate about whatever they love to do. I still like nothing better than to sit in a room with a few friends and discuss ideas and concepts that were presented in class.
Throughout this semester, I have done everything that was asking. Every assignment was completed and turned in on time. I did not just complete my assignments to get them over with, I invested time and effort into writing each piece with compassion and dedication. As I look back at my papers, I believe that I was clear and to the point with each individual piece. My transitions are
Most Enjoyable Class Time(s): It was enjoyable when we played games to be able to review for the final exam for example Bingo. The classroom interaction was phenomenal especially when everyone was anxious to obtain those three extra bonus points
