My dream job is to be a store manager(SM). Being an excellent SM should take responsible for leading a team of store staff to manage daily store operations and to drive store key performance indicator (KPI).
First, I meet customers with different wants and needs. My strengths can help them with caring and patient. In a retail store, customer service is the most important part since it is related to image, profit and competitive advantage. Second, I am good at assimilating information. There are over thousands of products are placed in there and need to remember them, such as brand name, basic functions and product placement which aim to solve customers’ problems immediately. Third, I am integrity, practical logic and tireless dedication work. Each employee must be honest because of personal integrity. Also, staffs cannot only focus on the profits and then share the wrong information to customers. The function of products must reach

According to MBTI test, the leadership profile recommends my most natural style is as a goal-oriented leader. Goal-oriented leadership involves setting clear and specific goals. Since these targets are cascaded, senior management has higher target that is supported by more detailed targets of staff in the rest of the company. These skills improve me when I have a chance with promotion.
7.3 Definition of lifelong learning
Lifelong learning is broadly defined as learning that is pursued throughout life. The European Lifelong Learning Initiative (n.d.) defines lifelong learning as “a constantly supportive procedure which stimulates and empowers individuals to acquire all the skills, values, knowledge and understand they will demand throughout their lifetimes and to apply them with creativity, enjoyment and confidence, in all environments, circumstances and roles.”

Aside from cultural leadership, my style relates to the attributes of a transformative leader. Through analyses of the Bell Curve, Leadership Behavior, and Motivation assessments, I had a strong need to see others succeed. I see college as a transformative experience and the front desk position is able to give students the qualities to be successful after college. I inspire my employees to share my vision and help them understand the reasons behind my values. I show personal integrity, self-confidence, and optimism for the future. Though these qualities I transform the organization with a more effective team.
I have chosen the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment as well as the Standout Strengths Assessment to analyze and evaluate my leadership capabilities. Many class lectures, materials, discussions and exercises have been vital in my personal analysis. My interactions with my teammates, and inputs from my family members have helped me understand my strengths and shortcomings. Furthermore, I have read a couple of books on leadership, which helped me analyze the results of my assessments. As determined by the MBTI test I have an ESFJ personality [Extroverted Feeling Sensing Judgment]. The Standout Assessment says two of my greatest strengths are Creator and Provider.
A key component to leadership is to master skills that one already possesses. The greatest leaders in the world do not necessarily stem from the best universities or some costly academic background. One of the strongest traits a person can have is understanding what their leadership style is. When one understands his or her leadership style this can work strongly to one 's advantage. The goal is to garner the best results with the least amount of effort whenever possible therefore many particulars exist which can add to this equation and understanding one’s personal leadership style is a great place to start.
...ram, I have also learned that it takes a combination of leadership styles and taking scenarios case by case to perform as an effective leader. My preferences would be a combination of transformational and transactional leadership. Since I work in processing, the transactional part of my leadership will have to be there, but I would strive to add leading with integrity, a shared vision, and being humble among staff members. I hold myself accountable just as I would with other team members. I understand that this approach will not always work, because situations will change and call for different types of leadership, but for the most part a combination of transactional and transformational leadership would be the most effective in the majority of situations at work.
Management and leadership, what exactly is it? What is my management and leadership style? In the paper I will complete a series of questionnaires to determine my personal style. Part one will examine conceptual skills, human skills, technical skills, new style management style, and old management style. Part two will examine personal goals and SWAT analysis. Part three will examine the four different aspects of personal management style. This will include personal decision styles, delegation versus perfectionist, organic versus mechanistic organizational structure, and the five subscales of HR management. Part four will examine four different aspects of my personal management style, Jung’s typology, the task
Always have a connection with your customers such as listening to their complains, or suggestions.
In taking the leadership style inventories, it was not surprising to see the results. After completing almost thirty years in education, the results revealed the use of several styles in my leadership role. The Leadership Legacy results indicated that I was tied on two types of styles. They were Truth-Seeker and Experienced Guide. Tied again for one point less were Ambassador and People Mover. One less point again revealed Creative Builder. My lowest area was Advocate. I thought this assessment was close to my own perceptions. As a Truth-Seeker, I value fairness and I try to use best judgment in handling challenges. I am process oriented, and I try to remain neutral and objective in dealing with issues. In the Experienced Guide leadership style, I have helped numerous colleagues problem-solve situations. I listen and provide several options in dealing with a situation. I keep a confidence. The next areas, Ambassador and People Mover are another part of my personality in the workplace. In the library environment, I have to work with everyone in a variety of situations and make it a win-win whenever possible. As a People Mover, I have had several opportunities to mentor new teachers and new librarians. Another style that I had strength in is the Creative Builder. I am someone who needs to change. I had the opportunity to help restructure the upper grades in a school to include a 3-4-5 multi-age grade level. Researching, developing and selling this concept took a lot of work. My weakest area in this leadership assessment was the Advocate. As the librarian, I tend to stay behind the scenes in a more service-oriented role. This year, I am a district library leadership team member and this has given me an opportunity to work on my advo...
After completing the “Leadership Style Questionnaire” and analyzing my results, I have learned what my preferred leadership style is and how that influences how I lead and may be perceived from members of the group. From the results attained from the questionnaire, my preferred style of leadership is directing. This type of leadership style is best for individuals who have a low competency and high commitment level. These types of leaders are highly focused on tasks and less focused on relationships. They make decisions without consulting with the group and communicate without regarding the group’s concerns or suggestions. This type of leader also supervises the followers intently. They are very successful in creating objectives for each follower and the group as a whole to guide the group in reaching a certain goal.
Leadership is complex so you must use a variety of styles because the people that you lead have different styles of learning, understanding and performing. You can not succeed in leadership if you are not willing to change your behavior style as warranted. Changing your behavior style will also enable you t...
Upon receiving this project, I immediately began to worry about a survey that would seek to determine how strong of a leader I would be. I cowered at the fact of coming up with either false information or information I felt was less than perfect. I think that this fear alone, confirms my primary style. My primary style is that of Self-Actualization. Self-Actualized individuals seek to always become all that we can with the talents and knowledge we have. We tend to be creative and like to live in the moment. We bring almost a refreshing perspective to most situations and have a continuous intrinsic drive for self-development. I see this style manifested in myself on a daily basis by my strong desire to always meet new challenges. My motivation for success and coming up with new ideas is completely internal, and when the outlook seems grim to others, I am always the one that sees a positive outcome ahead, through the use of a plan. Although, I am currently a stay at home mom, I would imagine that as a manager that worked outside the home, I would share the same values as I do at home. I am a planner and a “lister”, because I feel that in order to tackle a task, the plan of attack must be clearly laid out and readily available to refer to. My backup thinking style is the Achievement style. I think this is very obvious because I seek to find jobs or take on challenges that will allow me to feel a sense of achievement. I have been known to quit jobs that paid a decent amount, but weren’t allowing me to achieve anything. On several jobs before, I’ve ended each day with a feeling of unimportance or frustration because I felt like the majority of my day had been spent working a job that wasn’t fulfilling or impacting the world. I think the fact that I decided to leave the corporate working world to be a stay at home mom, attests to the fact that I want to feel a sense of achievement in the personal raising of my child. I want to set up a standard for my child to ultimately be able to be a self-actualized person as he grows older.
My leadership philosophy has been shaped by several factors, the first of which is the knowledge of self. I am a firm believer that until you know yourself first, you are not able to meet your fullest potential as a leader. The greatest relationships exist when each person knows first themselves and what they bring to the table, impacting all leader/follower relationships. The leader approaches the relationship confidently, knowing that the leader and follower can mutually benefit from their interaction. One of the most important things that I have done in terms of my personal development is to identify my core values.
Leadership is the glue that binds any business together, identifying and understanding your type of leadership style can ultimately aid you in becoming a better leader in your professional career. A successful business cannot function without leadership therefore this is a crucial aspect of internal employee development for businesses striving to stay relevant in a crowded marketplace. In addition to recognizing your leadership style every leader needs to look to them and identify what type of personality they have. By becoming an informed business leader you will gain trust and respect of your team to guide them into the future and maximizing potential growth. Throughout this paper I will identify my leadership style and also personality type and how it has affected my personal career growth. Identifying these conclusions is extremely important in crafting company culture.
