The Bell Smith Personality Assessment was accurate in reflecting my personality. I have taken several personality tests because I know developing strong interpersonal skills enhances personal growth and development. Each test has delivered similar results demonstrating my willingness to work with others, need for organization, focus on emotional content, and search for additional information. According to the Bell Smith assessment, I fall into the categories of member, planner, juggler, empathizer, and researcher. I would challenge the assessment with defining me a planner because I incorporate the juggler traits into my daily activities. Overall, the assessment was not surprising and I would like to continue taking different personality tests to see diverges from previous results.
This Communications Style Inventory provided an accurate reflection of my communication style for the majority of the time. I would argue my communication style is dependent on the situation. When I communicate with students, I tend to take on the role of supporter/relator. I listen to their problems and tailor my reactions to their emotions. When I am with friends, I am a promoter/socializer. I still value building those relationships, but they often do not require the emotional support the students need. Although controller and Analyzer are my lease score traits, I do use those qualities when I need to be direct or need to work by myself.
I personally liked the Character Traits/Feedback assessment because I was able to determine my results without being told my character traits. It was challenging for me to select negative traits because I wanted to display myself in a positive light but I realized both positive and negative traits make me who I am....

...ll is only a small sub-culture in comparison. As the supervisor of the McCormack front desk, I am able to change minor day to day operations, but I cannot change large scale items such as gender neutral housing or visitation policies.
Aside from cultural leadership, my style relates to the attributes of a transformative leader. Through analyses of the Bell Curve, Leadership Behavior, and Motivation assessments, I had a strong need to see others succeed. I see college as a transformative experience and the front desk position is able to give students the qualities to be successful after college. I inspire my employees to share my vision and help them understand the reasons behind my values. I show personal integrity, self-confidence, and optimism for the future. Though these qualities I transform the organization with a more effective team.

The questions were very thought out and not too broad which was an intelligent idea because if you want to achieve specific answers in a personality assessment, there needs to be specific questions. I read a book about the Big Five before this assignment was assigned so while I was taking the test I could partially tell which questions corresponded to which division of the Big Five. Nevertheless, that did not have an impact on how truthful my responses were. If I were to take the test again I do believe that I would get a similar score because I answered honestly and the answers I chose were the ones that represented me the best. I assume that the test would produce results for diverse groups of people as long as the information about gender, age and country were answered correctly. I thought that having a test that compares similar types of people to each other was a brilliant idea for the reason that it could have been too generic if
It took me a little while to think on some of the questions because I had to think about what the true answer was and not just how I wanted to view myself. I’d say most of the results are accurate except for competition and significance. They do not describe my personality because I’m a pretty laid back person and I do not like to measure myself according to other achievements because it would drive me crazy to live my life that way. I’m the type of person that doesn’t care about what other people think about me unless it is my close family and friends. On the other hand discipline was very accurate. I’m the type of person that will get things done because I control that part of my life. I need to be in control of most things in my life or it is too unpredictable and that scares
Have you ever had a leader that inspired you to develop your own leadership traits? “A leader is someone who demonstrates what’s possible” (Mark Yarnell, 2015). There are numerous leadership styles. Each of the numerous leadership styles can be beneficial if utilized in an appropriate means. I have chosen three leaders and their unique leadership styles to discuss in this paper. The unique styles that will be discussed are situational leadership, transformational leadership, and laissez-faire leadership. I will also discuss each leader’s approaches, their fundamental leadership principles, and how each leader used their style within their profession.
I found this assessment extremely useful since it helped me see my weaknesses and strengths clearer. Knowing what my strengths and weaknesses are helps me know what sort of emotions or habits I need to be careful of and what qualities I can improve and/or
Visionary leadership qualities help their project teams understand the true objectives and goals, as well as, how their contributions are important to achieve these goals (Preston, Moon, Simon, & Kossi, 2015). This very statement makes the visionary leadership style my number one go to style and my most beloved way of leading. To take a vision and to be able to correctly motivate and inspire your team with each individual contribution to get a job done and to further your project to the next level is amazing to me. Visionary will be the style I strive to work toward as a future leader. My number two style would be the Democratic style, mainly because Democratic leaders bring individuals together in order for everyone to give their thoughts, ask questions, and be involved in the entire project and its processes (Preston, et al, 2015). Getting teammates involved in all aspects of the project gives them a sense of
I also took the DiSC Work of Leaders Profile to analyze my style. The results indicate I fall between Steadiness and Conscientiousness, leaning more towards Steadiness which gives me the style SC. The three leadership priorities closest to my style dot of SC reveal I am humble, inclusive and deliberate. This indicates I like a work environment of collaboration assisting others in achieving their goals. People see me as calm, reliable, dependable and sensible. ...

I believe the results of my assessment reinforce the likelihood of success with my current career goal. My personality type
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
The test relating to my communication style revealed I am a Conventional communicator. I would have to say that I would agree with the explanation of the style and see myself fitting into the category most of the time, particularly in the work place. I do feel with certain situations I can be an expressive communicator, especially when trying to get my point of view across in an argument, or giving advice to a friend. I could see myself as a strategic communicator at times when talking to patients. I would have to change my style of words into words they could understand better, like medical jargon into layman’s terms. As a whole though, more times than not, I see myself fitting into the conventional guidelines below.
In the vast and detailed world of psychology, there are a variety of different tests you can participate in. For example, you can participate in aptitude, verbal or numerical reasoning, and psychometric tests. These tests assess on a variety of different situations such as: behaviors, abilities and intelligence. Personality tests, a common and favored test, measure things such as: behavioral style, opinions, motivators, personal values and career interests. Most often, people complain or disagree with the score of some areas on their personality test; however, there are no right or wrong answers. After completing this personality test and reviewing the results, I found that the overall scoring accurately described me in most areas. The Big Five Personality test scores in five different areas involving openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
Answering the question “‘Who are you?’ is where every leadership journey begins” (Kouzes & Posner, 2012, p. 43). My philosophy of leadership would be firmly rooted in compassion. It is my goal to create a learning environment that is supportive, fosters mutual respect and collaboration, and where students and staff feel safe and cared about. It is only when this type of environment is in place that I believe learning can take place to its fullest capacity. Through my completion of the survey for assessing natural leadership qualities, I was determined to be a creative assertive quality type (Glanz, 2002, p. 191-196). The characteristics listed on the high end of the creative assertive continuum are fitting to my personality (Glanz, 2002, p. 74). I am an emotional, sensitive, and caring person. I place extreme value on the presence of humanity in the world. Along with recognizing the importance of my students learning in many capacities, I believe we must educate the whole person by giving significant attention to the developing character of each individual child. It is my philosophy that by helping students to grow into critical thinkers that possess outstanding character, which includes demonstrating sensitivity and concern for others, that their lives will be rewarding as they contribute positively to the wor...
For this report I will be studying the key communication concepts and analyses the responses and develop actions for improvement to my self. I will start with the explanations and identities of my personal style within listening and responding & Emotional Intelligence as well as make some references to these communication dimensions. Also in the report would be provided an interview to my friends to meet information about my communication style from different perspective. Then report will finish by myself-reflection to the response and develop actions for improvement.
None of the qualities listed surprise me or make me doubt the results of this assessment. As longs as I can remember, I have always worked hard at focusing on every challenge that has come along my way regardless of personal or professional. Also, seems like I thrive in a structure environment vs. an environment where no boundaries or standards lead the way. Lesson planning around standards based curriculum requires me to lean towards quality work and demands a structured environment so that my students can learn to problem solve effectively for their future. The basic weakness of the east personality trait is tunnel vision. I can go full steam ahead with a goal in mind but neglect others around me because they are invisible to me. In fact, I can recall times in my classroom when I did not see the foolishness going on around me or the guest that sat in the back of my room because I was so intent on completing the task at hand. Tunnel vision can allow unseen negative situations to happen and if the east personality doesn’t intentionally stay vigilant, there could be situations that arise that will bring them down. Therefore, it is vital to work in the strengths of a subdominant east and allow the positives to
Personality tests tell a person a lot about why a person is who they have become. I believe that these test if taken truthfully can identify deficiencies that individuals can work on to benefit not only themselves but others in the organizations that they work in. Some models state that it is in human nature and chemicals that decided how a person acts but I believe it is based on life experiences and a personality can change as long as a person knows the deficiencies and works to change them.
