My first signature theme was discipline and it means that I need to have everything together all the time. I need order and stability in my life that I created in order to be happy and feel safe. Others can come to find my need for order annoying and this may be because they do not understand my need for predictability. My next signature theme was competition and it means that I thrive when it comes to winning or achieving something better than others. If I don’t outperform someone that I may feel hollow and that I am weaker than that person. It means that I need to compare things that I do to others. My third theme was included and it is having a large group of people of friends in your life because you want to make sure everyone is included. It means that I am very accepting of others no matter what race, gender, religion or other barriers that may arise. The fourth theme I had was an activator and it is an indicator that I believe that action is required to get things done. It means that I need to get things done in an instant and that if …show more content…
something needs done I get up and do it. Last was significance, it means that I want to be recognized by others and be respected in their eyes. It means that I will keep reaching for something better and that it’s a driving force. While I was taking the assessment, I found that some of the questions were very similar and that it was hard to answer some of the questions.
It took me a little while to think on some of the questions because I had to think about what the true answer was and not just how I wanted to view myself. I’d say most of the results are accurate except for competition and significance. They do not describe my personality because I’m a pretty laid back person and I do not like to measure myself according to other achievements because it would drive me crazy to live my life that way. I’m the type of person that doesn’t care about what other people think about me unless it is my close family and friends. On the other hand discipline was very accurate. I’m the type of person that will get things done because I control that part of my life. I need to be in control of most things in my life or it is too unpredictable and that scares
me. I showed the report to my mom and she said that significance surprised her. She’s the person that knows me the best and she knows that I do not care if I’m recognized by people or stand out. She said that discipline was very accurate and that includer was too. She knows that I am a social butterfly and that I love to include everyone as much as possible. My mom also knows that I need structure in my life and predictability. I can use these themes to help me in my Self- Makeover Project to help me pick my goals. I can use them to see what my strengths are and how to integrate them into society and my education. I can use discipline for my schooling and keeping my grades up. I can use includer to help me find new friends to make my college experience fun and easier. Activator can help me take action and go volunteer and make a difference in the community. The StrengthQuest results can help me understand more about myself and the reason I do things. It can also help me focus on the themes so I can bring them out in society.
The questions were very thought out and not too broad which was an intelligent idea because if you want to achieve specific answers in a personality assessment, there needs to be specific questions. I read a book about the Big Five before this assignment was assigned so while I was taking the test I could partially tell which questions corresponded to which division of the Big Five. Nevertheless, that did not have an impact on how truthful my responses were. If I were to take the test again I do believe that I would get a similar score because I answered honestly and the answers I chose were the ones that represented me the best. I assume that the test would produce results for diverse groups of people as long as the information about gender, age and country were answered correctly. I thought that having a test that compares similar types of people to each other was a brilliant idea for the reason that it could have been too generic if
The Bell Smith Personality Assessment was accurate in reflecting my personality. I have taken several personality tests because I know developing strong interpersonal skills enhances personal growth and development. Each test has delivered similar results demonstrating my willingness to work with others, need for organization, focus on emotional content, and search for additional information. According to the Bell Smith assessment, I fall into the categories of member, planner, juggler, empathizer, and researcher. I would challenge the assessment with defining me a planner because I incorporate the juggler traits into my daily activities. Overall, the assessment was not surprising and I would like to continue taking different personality tests to see diverges from previous results.
While taking this test and reading about the information that was provided I was not really surprised about what information was given about my personality. I am 95% of what this test says I am. This exercise helps very little because I arty new 95% of the information is going to give me, it is a good tool to give you that support he would need if you are doubting yourself.
Do you have a willingness to self-disclose? How receptive are you? How do you feel about what the scores told you about yourself? I do not have the willingness to self-disclose and I am not very receptive towards my peers. I feel that my scores better assured what I already knew about myself and makes it aware that I have trust issues and that I do not feel comfortable disclosing personal information to others.
At the end, I disagree and agree with the test results because it somehow shows where I am at within my level of personality. When my received my results, I was shocked because my expectation was the complete opposite. I wish I had someone to explain to me why my view and the test results were different when I took the time to complete all 300 questions. I agree that self-report cannot be reliable compare to having a psychologist test an individual. Hopefully retaking both test will have different results than the first time I have taken it.
After taking this personality test I could not decide if I felt that my results were accurate about me or not. The personality test resulted in describing me as an extravert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (Humanmetrics,
The air hung around them, tensed and quiet. The fragility of her emotion was threatening to shatter. It is as if that time stood still for her. She fingered the brim of her notebook, nervously and took notice of the cup of coffee on her side. Controlling the sudden urged to drown the caffeine all at once; she carefully picked the cup and warily sipped its content. It had long been cold, and her tongue appreciated that fact.
My life intersects with Into The Wild because I never had a good relationship with my mom or stepfather Dan who was 21 years older than my mother. So I “escaped” to Columbia much like Chris did from his own reality. Dan would drink every day; you would rarely see him without a drink in his hand. His drink of choice would be either whiskey or beer depending on what he could afford. You could always tell when he was smashed and when he was I was the person he wanted to tear down with his words the most. I remember one night after my grandma just had surgery and she was staying with us my mom asked me to cook. I told her I would. I then went outside to check what I was grilling and I knew Dan was out there intoxicated.
After scoring myself on the Dispositions Rubric, I based my answers on what I thought best described my personality. All of my answers may seem like I gave myself a perfect score; however, I realize that I still have the potential to grow in all of the disposition areas with more experiences that I get in the classrooms. My values and beliefs played a huge role in how I scored myself.
I think overall the test was very accurate in describing my personality type. I am a nurturer, kind-hearted, and want to believe the best in people. The portrait of ISFJ’s was spot on, however, I disagree with some of the relationship weaknesses. They described my personality to be very emotionally needy, with a difficult time leaving a bad relationship, or moving on from an ended relationship. I have to disagree with this because I feel I am the type of person that once you lose my trust in a relationship, I am done with trying to make that relationship work. Once I have something against a person, it’s hard for me to over-look the issue, and just keep staying in the relationship. I am very independent and don’t rely much on others for my
Since I was little I have always known that I did not want a desk job. I have always loved using my hands to build things or to solve problems. But I didn’t like the idea of a construction job, or standing in a plant and watching things go down an assembly line. I wanted something that would keep me on my toes, as in different every day, and allowed me to do something that I could see the result of my work soon after. I just couldn’t find the right job; nothing sounded good to me. That was until one day my dad needed help with some wiring in an extension we were doing to my house. I thought that it was kind of fun. It was cool to me that we could install lights, switches, and outlets. So, from then on I decided that I would like to
4) With Agreeableness I ranked at 83% with the description of good-natured, courteous and supportive. Being my agreeable self, I agree with this assessment. I have a natural affinity for empathy and sympathizing with others. 5) In Neuroticism I ranked at 37% - generally relaxed. This is also accurate. I would probably rank lower if it weren’t for being a worry wart, which is linked to my high conscientiousness. People often comment on how easy-going I am, but if they could see what goes on underneath th...
When I was a Child, I have never stopped wondering what it would be to fly in the sky. I had tried to jump from sofa or bed with an opened umbrella in my hand, and imagined myself as a flying bird. As I grow up, those wonderful fantasy become faded in my brain. I still like flying, and I had experience something like helicopter tour, but never a real fly. I always have the thoughts to explore life, to experience
The fifth category is synergize which I scored a total of sixteen. I’m very creative for searching new ideas and solutions. I can sit on YouTube and look at different experiments and then try them on my own to see if my results will be the same. Also since I speak my mind a lot, I always encourage others to do the same. I feel like if everyone expresses their feelings they wouldn’t be any other motives within anyone. I’m also very open to seeing the insights and valuing my friends. I’ve had the same group of friends since I was about eleven years old and they teach me so much.
Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. Some of the tests that were required for this class were more in depth, taking 82 sub test
