One thing that I wish that I have been better prepared for was the networking aspect of my co-op experience. Lucky for me, I had a mentor that introduced me to other members of the staff within other departments. This way, I got exposure to the company as a whole, which allowed me to have a better understanding. Although networking was discussed in our co-op class, it was ambiguous and did not really go into the specifics. Since establishing a meaningful relationship with coworkers is essential to receiving potential job offer, it should be more of a main topic for freshmen. Most of whom, do not even know what networking is before their college arrival. What made my experience a bit more difficult was the fact that I was the first co-op the
In addition to this, I feel that my Team building class gave me good insight into the inner workings and mechanics of how teams work. More work.
The World Health Organization (2010) defines interprofessional collaboration in health care as occurring “when multiple health workers from different professional backgrounds provide comprehensive services by working with patients, their families, carers and communities to deliver the highest quality of care across settings” (p. 7) and IPE as occurring “when two or more professions learn about, from and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes” (p. 7). Interprofessional collaboration is contingent on IPE; education promotes collaborative patient-centered care by strengthening communication skills and teamwork. This paper discusses the importance of interprofessional collaboration in healthcare by examining

... a lot of knowledge during the Leadership and Organisation Dynamics. I learn on how we lead from a group to become a team. A group can become a team when all members are sure enough of themselves and their dedication in order to laud another’s skills. I believe that in many circumstances, taking the initiative to provide suggestion or ideas can be effective in every situation, a leadership role has to be played so that a team can be effective. On the other hand, it is important to consider all members’ suggestion or ideas to the team as they will feel a sense of belonging in the team. Throughout the semester, I understand my role and responsibility in a team to perform better in future. I educated how to collaborate and work with others and I am trained to work in groups, interact with people that we don’t know and tolerate them as it can help in my future career.

I feel that this Coop experience was a great way for me to reflect on my abilities to be a quality educator. I feel that I would have gotten more out of this Coop experience if our school year would have ended a little later, but overall, I think I received a lot from this time. My Coop was at my work at Head Start PDPY in North Platte. The center is a newly renovated room, so it is nice and clean with lots of storage space. Overall, I really enjoy working in the space because it is convenient and although it is small, we are able to make it work well. I felt that I grew as a professional and educator during the time at my coop. There were some specific things that I really felt I grew on as I was co-teaching my preschool children. This quarter
Another thing that helped me realize I was the right person was the fact that my friend and I put the team together. My friend and I basically recruited people. We picked
I really found the idea of co-leadership interesting and all of the various issues when it comes to confidentiality. I had also never thought about the effect of termination without discussion within a group and how this could hurt other group members. I moreover liked the idea of the screening process and ideas to prepare for participants of the group. Reference List Corey, G., Corey, M., Callanan, P. (2011). As Sue France states“ Networking is about listen and sharing knowledge and helping each other to achieve your restive goals”. For that reason, it is imperative to establish a communication circle both internally and externally.
Our first meeting was complete chaos, everyone was in a panic about what needed to be done, while not being completely sure what the assignment was. I walked away from our first meeting having
After a review of my performance in the assigned group, I have learned a great deal about myself and behavior in the team-setting situation. This is not the first experience in a team setting. Previous team setting experiences were conducted in sporting and recreational environments rather than academics. While the setting and the environments were indeed different, there were many commonalities and correlations between the team settings I previously experienced and the current academic team-setting experience for this academic course project. One of the traits that I had exhibited pertained to being co-operative.
TEAMWORK The teamwork is usually defined as the process of working together in a group to achieve a common goal. These days, working in groups is inevitable. Whether it is a school assignment or working in a clinical setting, we have to work in groups to accomplish a task. We cannot expect to work in isolation all the time. As far as our team is concerned, they worked in an organised manner to accomplish the task within the deadline.
In the business competition I paired off with Tony, Elizabeth, Tyree, and Cole. We were five complete strangers and we were expected to create a winning business. At first we started by simply getting to know one another. Our professors had built into the syllabus several days to be spent on team building activities including es...
Collaborative learning is an educational approach that involves groups of learners working together to reach a consensus through negotiation to solve a problem, complete a task, or create a product (Bruffee, 1993). Learning occurs through active engagement among peers, wherein the main characteristics of collaborative learning are: a common task or activity; small group learning, co-operative behaviour; interdependence; and individual responsibility and accountability (Lejeune, 2003).
In the entire six months of my internship the more work I did, the more experience I gained. It is the only way out to get better. I was there to learn so I made most of my time there. There are some rules and regulations of the company that we need to follow and being sharp on time is very important. Cowor...
