When I go back in time, the images that make the fondest memories of my childhood are primarily the ones related to computers. While I was growing up, I spent a good amount of time learning new things about computers through whatever source I could. What started as a leisure pursuit soon turned into passion, and when the time came to choose my subject for pre-university, computer was my first choice. I studied technology and hardware workshop, computer networks, information bank, operating system, physics, mathematics along with programming languages, software packages like word, excel, access, power point, Snagit etc. For my under graduate studies, I selected Computer Science at Jamia Hamdard University which is one of the best universities in Delhi, India. The syllabus gives equal emphasis to theoretical as well as practical applications of the subject. Subjects such as Introduction to Computer and IT, Mathematics, Organisational Behaviour, Communicational Skills, Computer Organisation, Business and Data Processing File System etc. form the theoretical and practical aspects. Computer hardware, it’s a fascinating topic if you think about it, a simple combination of complex metals all working together in perfect sequence to create a unique one of a kind experience. But this kind of innovation and intricacy does not just simply happen, it takes a special kind of professional to create, maintain, and innovate in this field of engineering. A computer hardware engineer is a type of engineer that specializes in electronic systems, robotics, and computer hardware.
I have always been interested and intrigued by computers, ever since using a BBC when I was very young. Since then I have become fluent in writing BASIC and more recently I have learnt HTML, the language of the World Wide Web on which I have my own wesite. I use computers for most of my exam coursework such as Solving Equations Using Numerical Methods for Pure Maths 2 and also for recreation.
The mind must never be kept idle because of its tremendous capacity to absorb and learn. After careful consideration of my aptitude, interests and experiences gained while pursuing my under graduation in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, I have decided to pursue my Masters in the field of Computer Science. Being a dynamic and ever evolving field, many new developments are expected and there is immense scope for research on new products and applications. To progress and make a mark in this field, I realize that it is important for me to pursue my Masters from a reputable university. I have always dreamt of taking up research.
A strong desire to ingrain the fundamentals of computers and flourish in this field made me to join GITAM University where I have qualified in an entrance examination among 20,000 students who have appeared. My undergraduate studies have given me a very substantial knowledge of the concepts of computer science. I always wanted a very clear understanding of the concepts and I strived for it. I have learnt computer networks, Operating systems, Network Security, Software engineering, Design and analysis of Algorithms, Database Management Systems as a part of my curriculum. And I have consistently performed well during my under grad where I scored a GPA 8.5/10. These subjects have developed immense interest and have increased my hunger to gain more knowledge. Zeal to learn more has made me apply for master’s degree program.
My childhood dream was that someday my actions would dramatically impact the world. After a great deal of self-evaluation and an exciting journey through my undergraduate education, I have come to realize that it is not as hard as I had imagined it to be. I find the success of the Google search engine that touches a million lives each day inspirational .It was after all a research project developed by its founders during their student days at a US university. I feel that such are probable prospects of a graduate education at a university as esteemed as yours where a single line of code that I might write could touch the lives of millions around the world.10 years down the line I see myself in an industry contributing to the field of computer science in the industry and hope that my dream will manifest into reality.
My chosen career is Software Engineer. Software Engineers create moderately complex software in C, C++, C#, Java, assembly language, or other selected languages for Garmin products and/or applications consistently following Garmin’s coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes. These software execute design for small sets of new functionality for a project.
From a young age I have been genuinely fascinated by the intriguing world of computing and technology. I have always enjoyed keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in technology and have remained amazed at the speed of computerized developments over the past few years. For as long as I can remember, I have been encouraged by my cousin. He has stronger enthusiasm on scientific research and help me discovered another enthralling world to explore. From my cousin, I learned that for scientific research should not only have a tremendous enthusiasm, but have the rigorous study style and indomitable perseverance to face many difficulties encountered in the future.
As Information Technology is a very broad area, selection of majors and minors becomes essential to each and every student, since the choice made would greatly affect the future career paths. Careers related to IT is very wide as well, website design, games development, data communications, artificial intelligence, IT management, security technology, etc. .

Today, computers are used in almost every aspect of our lives: in car engines, microwave ovens, video games, watches, telephones, desktops at home and work, mainframe computers in government and industry, and supercomputers expanding the frontiers of science and technology. The computer industry is one of the fastest growing segments of our economy and that growth promises to continue well into the next century.
First time I saw computer was at my uncle’s house. It was big black & white window 95 OS computer he use to let me play Dave game on that computer with time limit of 15 minutes, those were the most stimulating for me. Later I got chance to learn computers at my school in 5th grade. We use to learn LOGO, MS paint , MS office and I developed interest in computers making nested loops design patterns in logo was like incredible feeling for me. Due to my interest in computers I took computer as a subject in my 10th grade, was able to learn C programming language. I created small C programs and it felt like creating history.
The early history of computer engineering, which we know now as, but during 1955 it was known software engineering (Pioneering Era). Computer engineering has been a revalent job in the United States from 1955 until present day 2014. This job started out during a time period known as the Pioneering Era. This was a time when the first computers came out and software programmers had to rewrite all of their programs to run on these new machines now known today as computer. Jobs back then and know was applied for by signing up on the machines. Even on your jobs, some people have to sign in by punching a button on a computer. Some other technological devices have resulted from computer are the making of cellular phones, laptop, videogames pagers, etc.
There are certain instances in my life that stimulated my love for computer science. During my childhood years I saw the computer only as an advanced gaming system, but soon I became aware of the wonders it can perform. Applications like the "Yahoo messenger" and "Orkut" bewildered me. My interest for programming was further intensified by my Computer professor who when I was in 8th standard taught us HTML. Through just a flick of keys, I could create and modify my own web-pages. When it said "Hello Natansh" for the first time, I felt like I was commanding the computer to perform a certain task for me. In the 11th standard, I was introduced to Java and to the concepts of databases, these piqued my interest and made me choose Information Technology stream for B.Tech.
Computers and Technology have fascinated me right from my childhood and I have always had it in my mind to choose Information Technology for my engineering. As the years passed my eagerness grew and so did my thirst to attain higher education and now is the perfect time for me to ignite the spark in me. This has given me the courage to analyze the fact that I have a herculean task ahead in order to comprehend an extensive proportion of subject and enjoy it while assimilating the problems.
My first real experience with computers, as we know them today, was while I was in the Navy. Once we learned to use commands called "Dos", we could make the computer do unbelievable things. I became obsessed with learning as much as I could abo...
